I want to take a moment to acknowledge the very helpful and patient service from Alex, the agent who assisted me with a phone bill issue. It's always dreadful to have to go into these kinds of stores for fear of long lines and unresolved issues but this experience was positive. Alex listened to my issue, sympathized, and attempted to find solutions including calling the customer service line and waiting with me as we were put on hold. After being rerouted a few times, we finally connected to a loyalty agent in the Philippines and resolved my billing problem. The entire time Alex was agreeable and was committed to helping me. I hope that AT&T can acknowledge the great service of this employee, who strengthens the customer impact of the brand and has left me with a better impression of the company than when I walked in. read more

So I have been to this location twice. The first was a very brief moment to ask about getting a new phone and I knew my situation was going to be tricky and take some time. A gentleman with dreads actually told me he could not help me once I explained what was going on. He informed me I needed to call the main Customer service number and made an appointment for a few days later. After leaving I called the number and they informed me what I wanted to do was very possible but had to do this in-store. This is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. It's always a little annoying to get contradicting information. When I returned, during my scheduled appointment, I was helped by the store manager (Peter I believe). He was far past anything I could imagine customer service wise. I explained to him that I thought I was going to be a difficult customer just because of the type of request I had. After I explained what I was trying to do he said no problem and helped me for about an hour. He took care of everything, explained what was going to happen, and how much it as going to cost. He also asked me about my usage to help me determine a proper plan. I was thoroughly pleased with his customer service and patience. read more

Looks like this store in the heart if DC is quite busy and understaffed! There are 3 staff members; all busy helping other customers who are buying something. I came here because my internet and email has not been working for the last week and after three phone calls in the last few days to Att. My last call today lasted an hour and no help. I thought it may be better to come to the store during my lunch hour. Now i am told to wait and it has been 20 minutes and so far no one to help. Feeling frustrated. They seem loke taking their time o livious of other customers present. After another 20 minutes of wait and no one looking at me i am leaving the store !! I attempted to get services from ATT , and I have been giving the run arounds since October 14. I was thinking about leaving T-Mobile. They gave me a SIM which didn't work because I was still obligated to t-Mobil so, why was I charged 115.93 for phone service I NEVER received . I have called customer service numerous times. Problem still not solved. I go into the store and the consultant that got me into this sitting there with her head now. I would too, if knew I set some one for service and they still had a binding agree, then told a person who can barely walk go find the nearest store it's a couple blocks away.The manager clearly was doing nothing did not even have the decency to address me. Went here on a Tuesday around 130 and was racially profiled by an armed security guard. I was never greeted by the staff working and had to approach someone for help. Weird considering I was ready to plop down $400. Furthermore my friend needed assistance and he didn't fare any better. He was haggled about receiving his employee discount and ended up having to wait what felt like an eternity. Come here if you like long waits and being stalked by armed security guards. read more

Was having problems with the sim card, walked in this store walked out less than 5 mins later with a new SIM card. Very friendly service. Rachel rocked! Also I could not help to notice the male rep. I think he was the manager although I didn't ask, he was multitasking like a pro! He was on a call probably on hold while with a customer, helped Rachel out with the details and also kept an eye out on a new employee in training. Incredible!!! read more

My own personal AT&T service is absolute crap. I have practically no reception at home and most of my calls drop once I get within SF city limits. So, why did I renew my contract? Because I have PREDICTABLY crap service. I know exactly where my calls will drop, and how much I'll be charged when I take my phone overseas.... and I have a super crazy discount that I couldn't possibly get with another phone company. Renewing my service is stupid. I know it. But I like knowing what I'm gonna get and where exactly all the fails are- and I needed a phone to replace the one that went missing. I told my sob story to Marion who was more than happy to explain my options and reassure me that I would be up and running in no time. She gave me much-needed relief. I returned the next day and got assistance from Anthony who got me hooked up and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. These two folks are real gems because I know I was a basket case and they were nothing but nice and professional with me. Walked in to upgrade my phone and walked out without any working phone because the sales guy made a mistake and there was no manager around to reverse it so the sales guy just walked out of the store on me - and told me to come back the next day when a manager can fix what he broke in their system, leaving me without a working phone because he took my old phone that I walked in with off-line. The worst possible experience. I am shocked at how a store's sales person can totally leave you without a phone and can't fix the problem. read more

I chose this location randomly for the iPhone 3G release, assuming that because there are like three other AT&T stores within a three block radius this place wouldn't be too packed. Bad idea! Turns out that they didn't get many iPhones.. only 60, which was obsurdly low considering there was about 150 people in line. So when my turn came up, after waiting in line for four hours, I didn't get an iPhone. Instead I got a voucher or rain check, and was told I'd receive an email soon. They made me pay on the spot to reserve my phone. I patiently waited, and the following Monday I received my email and went down to the store. After a few false alarms of the "we don't have your phone" game (the guy looked up the wrong name) I promptly received my phone and it was activated by a very large, very awkward sales associate. Felicia and Christian are the nicest people there. They're both understanding, fun to deal with, and patient. Felicia was the one who I worked with on my first two visits, and she took care of me. After ten days of use, my poor little iPhone's time came, and he crashed and needed to be returned. Check out my Apple store review in order to read up on that whole saga. So today I finally went to the AT&T store to return my old, dead phone, and without any problems they refunded me my money and everything was taken care of. The only downside was that in the process I lost my old number and now I have a new one. Christian helped me out when I took my iPhone back today, and he was great- he explained everything in detail, tried to do what he could to see if it was okay for me to keep my old number, and was very helpful. In general, I haven't had a great experience with AT&T, the corporation. This store itself isn't too bad, though. read more

This store is always hectic and cringe-inducing even when it's empty; it feels like the employees are all in a rush and frenzy-- probably resentful a customer is taking them away from playing with their phones. You get positive stars for letting me charge my i-phone at this location when I'm low on juice after a long day. Your staff is always very professional and polite. Also, you have a great location which is super convenient. You get negative stars for charging me too much for my phone bill, and changing your policies in sneaky ways. Very helpful staff! I purchased an iPhone12 Max Pro from this store a month ago. 2 weeks prior my phone was stolen. Even though AT&T sent a replacement promptly I was having trouble activating the SIM. Without a working phone I was unable to solve the problem from home. However the next day everyone at this AT&T store was more than understanding about my situation. As well as helpful. They will pay attention to what you need and do their best to produce a solution. I have been with AT&T since 2001 and have never been excited about going to one of their stores. It seems like there is always a wait in line with a lot of unhappy people. Today was a different story. I was Christmas shopping and noticed this store across the street. I thought.. "ok, why is there no one in line???" I walked in and was greeted with a smile. Johnny took a look at my phone and then my account. He recommended a new blackberry torch, and told me the 99.00 fee would be included in a 100.00 credit I had for being such a long term customer. FRAUD! Went today to get a new phone (been a long-time at and t customer and needed a new phone b/c my phone was 5 years old). After I got home and looked up my account online, I found out the sales rep LIED to me about the length of my contract and about what I would be paying for my phone. Like I wouldn't notice paying $550 for a phone over 26 months...after she told me it would be an 18 month contract and the phone would be free. This is fraud. Returning phone and cancelling contract tomorrow - they better not charge me anything for their mistake. I finally broke down and bought myself an iPhone. (It only took me about a year to make the commitment). Angela at this AT&T wireless store patiently answered all of my questions. She didn't try to do a "hard sell" for which I'm appreciative. She took care of me as if I were the only customer in the store. She is knowledgeable about the products that she sells. She helped me pick the plan that is right for me based on what I told her about my usage with my Sprint phone. If you are in the market for a new cellular device, I highly recommend Angela at this AT&T store! read more

Awful store. Bad and super slow service. I went there to switch from tmobile to att and the sales rep deleted all my contacts and pictures by accident. The monthly charges were much higher than tmobile for the same service. They added so many fees that I was unaware of. I asked them to cancel my subscription-- i had a 30 month grace period but they charged me a $200 cancellation fee and wanted me to return my iPhone to them (which I purchased 2 years ago from apple not att) I called several times to get this fee removed. And I had to go to the store again with a receipt from apple to prove it was my phone. To this day the fees are not removed and an automated call service calls me everyday. Just awful. ATT doesn't offer loaner phones for those whose phones are being repaired, even for a few hours time. Shame on them. Good to know the $90 a month I spend utilizing their services is being valued. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I just had a great experience at the AT&T Store at 1050 Conn Ave, courtesy of Alex. After sheepishly asking him to help put a new screen protector on my iPhone 7+ because I'm too clumsy to do it right, Alex proceeded to happily take quite a bit of time to expertly clean, remove dust, smooth out any bubbles and put the screen on perfectly. He even refused my offer of a tip for his excellent service. read more

We just switched to AT&T and the customer service HAD been helpful, but we of course saw different reps each time we went in. On this occasion, I had one rep tell me one thing that was not true, one rep just walk away during check out to not return, but go and talk to his friends, and then the manager who was just rude and acted as though I was bothering her by trying to make a purchase. They all gave me different answers when I asked a question and I was totally turned around by the time I left. I do think this store has good people working, but unfortunately I got to deal with employees who did not know what they were talking about and would rather talk to their friends than actually work. I would have hoped the manager would have cared more about the customers, but I know not to go to this store again. read more

Walked in and was greeted by an unhelpful guy who talked to me very incredulously, and gave me a very bad vibe of this location. Then the staff who actually helped me told me I couldn't exchange my phone, even though I was within the 14 day exchange period, because the promotion that was going on when I got the phone was over and it would screw up the bill. This is specific for AT&T small business (more specifically the small business contact center). This has to be the most convoluted and compartmentalized company for customer service. They don't care how long they put you on hold, they don't care what your experience has been to date with ATT - they also seem to be ok with actually saying "we can't help you" when all you are attempting to do is add services to your business account. If you don't need att for anything specific (i.e. att specific service) - stay away from their business side. It's a nightmare if you have any issues with your account. read more

I have been dreaming of the iPhone for some time, finally got one and reluctantly returned it a week later. The phone is fantastic, loved it, the AT&T plans are the most expensive in the business. Not to mention Consumer Reports rated AT&T as having the worst service in the DC area. So I returned the phone, the people at the store were pleasantly impolite. The following week I got an AT&T bill, called them to inquire as to how much I should pay and was informed my service had not been canceled. Oh, it would seem the lady on the phone worked for AT&T, but she is not able to cancel my account, for that I have to return to the store. This is total BS. The store should have canceled the account when I returned the phone and as a further insult a phone tech from AT&T cannot cancel an AT&T account. Absurd. Each time I deal with AT&T it furthers how happy I am with the decision to do no business with them. read more
