Zagg truly impressed me with their honesty and timeliness. I had problems re-charging my Samsung S8 for months. One location wanted to saddle me with a new charging port and battery for $130 to fully fix the problem. In pleasant contrast, I took my phone into Zagg's location at Metro Center. Lexis called me at work to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the charging port at all. Instead, the port just needed cleaning with a special brush and rubbing alcohol. Stopped in here recently to have my iPhone Jack fixed, as it wasn't properly charging, and expected a long wait and high cost! I am not sure if this location. However, I visited the Zagg kiosk at Columbia (MD) mall and had the worse experience. First let me say I have used Zagg Gaithersburg numerous times and they were fabulous! And I had that same expectation when I was at the kiosk in Columbia mall. That was NOT the case. I went there to have the Zagg protective shield replaced on my iPhone as the edges were "rolling" and foggy. They had me take it out of the Otter box and wipe it down. Great!! Then he took the phone and it dropped. I didn't think much of it and the. He told me it would be $10 because the screen was cracked!! What? It wasn't when I got here I said. Anyway they had already taken the old screen off and were putting the new screen on at that time. Fine fine. I was annoyed and said as much. And let them know I would contact corporate. I get my phone back.... and the Lower right corner is chipped. Now I'm pissed. Man says it was like they. Uh no it was not and the Otter box protects these corners!!! Anyway I leave and register a complaint with Corporate. They responded in a reasonable time that they would contact the Independent retailer partner they owns that kiosk. Ok fine. Waiting waiting.... I get back to them and they say they are disappointed the franchisee has not responded..... they will contact again. In the meantime I have a damaged phone and am out $10.... which by the way should have been "$0" per their guarantee. Waiting...waiting ..... this has gone on several months now. Finally two weeks ago Corporate says they will mail me a replacement protective shield as consolation and did not address my damaged phone. Waiting...waiting.... nothing in the mail, no resolution for my phone ... nothing These shields really are good and customer service and follow through is less than zero. When they are good they are good and when they are bad they are horrid!!! I do not recommend ever using this company. i walked into Zagg convinced that my phone was beyond repair. I'm a GIANT klutz and the screen looked like a herd of elephants played patty cake on it and was making these weird R2D2 noises, so i assumed that the recommendation from the guy behind the counter would be to give it a viking burial and set that thing on fire with Celine Dion playing in the background. But, his response was "no problem, i've seen worse"... my god.. What mountain did this GOD come down from just to save my poor smartphone from it's trip to Valhalla? His name? LEXUS .. An hour or so later, it was back on the road with a fixed Iphone. All silliness aside, this place was fantastic. My phone was COMPLETELY jacked and Lexus was incredibly friendly and fantastic (he joked that he could fix anything... believe him). The iphone had disabled itself during the damage (but fortunately, i back everything up consistently.. seriously.. you should do that), but the $95 it cost to get it back to pristine condition was worth every penny. I came here to get my Apple Watch screen protector replaced. I was there for 20 minutes while the man who helped me struggled to get a new protector on it. He had to open about 4 boxes of screen protectors because he couldn't get the air bubbles out. When he gave it to me it had a few air bubbles and a lot of streaks, he said it was because of the moisture and that it would go away. I knew this was not true as this isn't the first time I had my screen protector replaced. He was just not able to do it. Now I have to go to the Tyson's Corner location that is quite a distance for me to get it replaced again. read more

Sham! Nope. Not shame... SHAM!!! Went there around April. Fixed the cracked screen beautifully. May comes and screen stops working. Did a hard reset and it worked for a few minutes. then stops again. Repeat. Read up on it and found that it may not be making contact. "To test press center of screen." Did it. Worked... then stopped. Called these guys and explained. They said we can fix that, and you're under warranty so not a problem. Cool. Went in today and the guy does a hard reset like the one I did. Hands it back and says, "you're good." I hand it back and tell him to operate the screen. He can't. Then comes the BULL. "Oh yeah. This is a 6 so you need to upgrade." I say, " why? When it was working with a cracked screen and stopped after you fixed it?" He says, "it's going to keep having 'catastrophic' problems because you need to change the battery." Dueling on: Me "Nope. I changed the battery in January. " Him "the updates are too much for it." Me " did you know that when you fixed the screen?" Him "You can get a brand new one of these for the same $50 price it cost to fix the screen." Me "BULL. You're lying. Not even at Walmart. I checked. And WHY would I get a brand new one of THESE if YOU'RE claiming it will not work properly??" Him "blah..." Me "shut up, dude. You're a liar." Walking out. Verdict: They can fix the screen, sure. Called to check how much the iPad screen repair is going to cost. The guy seemed very unknowledgeable, because he kept on asking me which iPad I have, and I told him that I have a REGULAR IPAD, 9.7IN 2017 MODEL. He was still confused. Then he gave me a $300 price for the screen repair, while the brand new iPad is $329... and then I was outraged so much, that I asked him again "$300?!", he said yes, silence for 2 seconds and then he hanged up. And if you are going to go anywhere to get it done, I encourage you to go to ZAGG. The technicians are incredibly thoughtful, helpful and will not stop until you are satisfied. I came in with a cracked phone screen. Forty minutes later it was fixed. When I returned because my phone kept turning off, the technician wouldn't give up till he figured out the problem. It took several hours but he was determined. Turns out my broken home button was causing the problem and with a simple fix, I was back in business. I am so happy I found ZAGG in Washington, DC. There are a few places that do screen repairs in the area, but as I called around, I instantly noticed that Jeff, the manager, was by far the most knowledgable, helpful, and understanding technician in the field. Even though it feels like a crushing blow every time your phone breaks, the experience of getting my screen replaced here was positive. Jeff was able to replace two layers of shattered glass on my iphone 5c in only a few minutes-record time! It was a pleasant repair experiece, both in person and on the phone. In addition, ZAGG offers top-of-the line parts to make sure my phone stays intact. They are definitely ahead of the curve with keeping up with the latest technology and products. The last time my phone broke, I went to a cheaper place. I was in Mountain View, and had to drop it off in the morning at 8 and pick it up at 7 p.m. That place fixed the phone, but it was shoddy work; they gave me a (poor quality) sticky, screen protector, which sealed off my glass screen -with air bubbles and dust between the glass and the cover. Jeff and ZAGG, on the other hand, took great pride in their service. They have a strong work ethic and exemplify the expression that you are only as good as your last job. So I have learned that not every repair place is the same. ZAGG is the expert and they are fast! One last important point if you are trying to decide where to take your phone, I recommed ZAGG because in addition to their expertise and quick turn around time, the location is superior: It is right off the Metro Station and next to a Sephora and Macys and some sandwhich places, making this a fun and short errand. Going to ZAGG has been a tremendous waste of time and money. My iPhone screen was cracked, so I went it to have it replaced. Within a month, the screen started coming off of the phone. On the plus side, they did replace it for free. On the down side, this happened THREE MORE TIMES. That's right - they replaced the screen on my iPhone four times, and it came apart again within a month every time. I eventually gave up and bought a new phone. When my iPad screen broke, I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. After the repair, the screen started coming up the very first time I used it. I then moved from the area, but I probably wouldn't have had the patience to go through this again, anyway, because I have no confidence they would've gotten in right. In addition: on at least two occasions, they were closed during business hours with a "back soon" handwritten sign on the door. I waited; they did not come back soon. Who closes during business hours? In addition part 2: both times I paid for things, their credit card reader was not working. One time, I had to go take out cash after waiting 20 minutes for them to get it working. They weren't particularly apologetic. The other time, they called another store and had it charged there. They do sell some nice products, and generally were very receptive to replacing their faulty installations. But I can't believe I spent any money on their totally unreliable repairs. Just went to the Gaithersburg 128 crown park ave store to replace a cover on a phone that has always had a ZAGG cover. The first installation of the replacement was unacceptable. When replacing it, Syed at the store scratched the phone. He refused to be accountable, would not give us the name or contact info of the owner, and he actually called security. He had our credit card and when I told him I couldn't pay for this, he charged it anyway. We've been to this store a few times and this was a totally different experience. But they scratched a $1,000 phone. They were totally crazy, took no ownership, and treated us like criminals. If they have any integrity, they will contact me related to this. Total scam. They stress when you're buying a screen protector that it comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty and then a limited lifetime warranty. Which is how they convince you that $39 for a screen protector isn't a scam. But within a month the screen protector had developed major air pockets in each corner and started to detach. Within two months it was chipping in the corner. And guess what happens when you go in to claim the warranty? They announce that it will be $10 to replace it (or you can order online, paying the shipping and handling for another screen you'll have to replace yourself). This is the epitome of a scam. I hope some enterprising attorney connects with Zagg customers nationwide and brings a class action against this scam company. read more

I dropped my iPhone 5S yesterday and, though it was still working, the screen went black after I pressed on it, noticing it was lifted a little. ZAGG is right around the comer from my office, so I called this morning and spoke with Vincent, who said I did not need an appointment. Five minutes later I was in the store and he quoted the cost at $117 to fix. I asked if it was the LCD and he said yes and it would be ready in 15 minutes. After a short walk to the Cosi to grab a sandwich and a brief stop in the Payless, I went back to the store and the phone was ready. Vincent had a laid back demeanor and when I asked about getting quotes for my husband's old 4S phone, that he needs to hang on to for at least 4 more months, and my son's 5S with a shattered scree, he gave what appear to be reasonable quotes for both fixes. We will be coming back again to get these fixed. Fixes also come with a 90 warranty as long as the screen is not cracked. read more

Do not take your phone to be repaired at this place. We took a perfectly functioning phone for a simple screen change due to a minor crack. They messed something up as they were repairing it and the backlight wasn't working. A week later they tell me the phone is fixed and after I pick it up it's still not working. It's been with them for another week and each day they tell me it will be ready the following day. I have yet to receive my phone. Also though the Tysons locations quoted us $90 to fix we were charged $115. Better of going to Apple store for repairs. Worst service I have ever experienced. If I don't have a fully functioning phone tomorrow I am reporting this group to the better business bureau. read more

Don't go here. I cracked my iphone 6 screen about six weeks ago. I had it replace over for the screen to begin lifting again. I took it back and they replaced it again. Two weeks later, the phone screen begins lifting again. Before I had chance to take it in a third time, the screen cracked as well. This time however, they said I had voided my warranty so they wouldn't replace it. Even though the screen was already faulty. They did offer a 30% discount if I wanted them to replace it again. There was no way in hell I was paying a second time only for my screen to begin lifting again. If you have an iPhone, just to go the apple store where your service can be guaranteed. I appreciate the business owner reaching out to me after my last less than stellar installation experiences (which you can read about below). After receiving a new replacement HDX screen protector in the mail, it appears the previous ones I had installed were defective, which was the reason why the protectors were still streaky and bubbly after being installed and waiting the 24 hour period that any bubbles should resolve themselves. When I went to get my replacement installed, I was told that this location had received a new batch and the batch that the protectors I originally had installed were in fact defective; therefore, you shouldn't have to worry about the streaking problems buying a HDX protector from this location anymore because they have resolved the problem. Becky, who had previously installed my protectors, was professional and friendly as she installed the replacement screen protector on my phone. She painstakingly ensured that there wasn't a speck of dust or anything on the screen protector and made sure it was properly aligned. She doesn't rush and very carefully smooths out all the bubbles. It appears that the customer support person saying the phone has to be off during installation was wrong because my phone remained on during this last installation and I didn't have an issue. Plus, as Becky explained, by keeping the phone on during installation, she can make sure it is properly lined up on the screen. While this last installation isn't as perfect as the very first one I had done at this location (there is a little bubble near the home button and the corner of the bottom of the screen), the latest installation is much better than it was when the screen protectors themselves were defective. After watching Becky put so many of these protectors on my phone, I'm glad I went to Zagg to have them install it because I don't know that I would have been able to line it up and get all of the bubbles out myself. Overall, I'm glad to have a screen protector back on my phone to protect it. read more

I needed a repair done. I check the web site and the hours listed for Saturday were 10-9. I arrived at 10:40 and the place was dark and locked. I called the number listed and left a voice mail complaining that I'd made a special trip to the store and asked why nobody was there. I left my name and number. No call back. I called another number and got the Montgomery Mall store. A kid answered and when I asked why the store wasn't open he said it opens at 11:00. I told him the web site said it opened at 10:00, and he replied I would need to take that up with the owner. I was angry at this point and ended the conversation. I then used the web site to have a technician come to me. Again no response. It's a competitive world out there, I advise people to try another company. read more
