I should have heeded the other reviews... Like many others, I had a broken iPhone 7 screen. They were quick to replace it, but the quality of the replacement is unacceptably low, especially for $100. The resolution of the replacement doesn't match and the durability of the glass pathetic. Once replaced, the phone went immediately into a case and sat on a counter over the weekend - on day three, with less than four hours of screen time and never being dropped, there is a crack across the entire screen and multiple scratches. This is compared to my personal iPhone 7 used daily for two years, in a similar case, without a single crack or scratch. Of course, I visited the store since there is a 30 day warranty. They would do nothing - "there can't possibly be a manufacturing defect in the glass, only the LCD." Moral is a $100 gets a knockoff screen that will not last, just roll that money into a new phone. read more

Wish I could just have my cracked screen again. My phone (iPhone 7+) is sometimes unusable because of the awful job done at Gadget TLC. I had a small crack in the corner, and figured I would get it repaired. They replaced the screen in about an hour, and it seemed fine at first. Later that afternoon I noticed it was difficult to text - you had to press the keys twice as hard and much slower for the phone to recognize your touch input. This also persisted when scrolling on webpages - sometimes the phone didn't recognize a swipe. This issue has continued to this day. I wouldn't trust them to fix my phone if it were free. read more

Let me start this review by saying that I rarely give one star reviews. I initially came to this establishment because of the good reviews but sadly I made a horrible mistake to come here. If I could give zero stars I would. I go in with a cracked screen and to my surprise it's fixed in 30 min. First thing I notice, not even less than 24 hours, I have a green bar running along the side of my screen whenever videos are played. Second thing that started happening was that my phone was constantly getting hot out of nowhere and overheating. Additionally my phone battery drains like crazy now. Shortly after that my phone dropped out of my pocket and even with the screen protector the whole screen shattered. It is come to my attention that their products are cheap and faulty. I called up later to have my product fixed, but the manager said that he would give me a $20 discount when in reality the price to fix this phone screen at this location is baffling. I don't have much money, I don't have money to throw around and waste my time with companies that don't respect their customers. This was a huge mistake coming to this company. The manager was incredibly rude and practically told me that I should've bought an otter box. Are you kidding me? I've been reached out to the company on several social media outlets at least 4 to 5 times with no response. It's clear they don't care about their customers and they don't care about making things right or making people feel comfortable and happy with their product. Now I am left with having to go spend even more money to fix everything else that is going wrong now because of what they did. Please spare yourself the time and frustration. Do not go to this establishment. All they care about is taking your money. It's in DC for Christ sake, how could you expect anything less. read more

Don't trust them. They are not honest. I would say get it in writing, but why bother trying to deal with people like this? I had a witness with me when he quoted me a price. I came back two weeks later and he denied ever offering it, and quoted me double the price. He also said that his cost of an item was double what it was. I checked with the manufacturer. And finally, on Google, he gets all these negative reviews and games the system by just replying with anything to keep the low rating out of his average. They fixed my phone screen pretty darn quick at a reasonable price and the employees were very helpful, but be warned. The screen that they put on my phone is not the same strength at the traditional default screen. There aren't any problems with usage, it just cracks waaaay more easily. I used to be able to drop my phone with my otterbox case on it pretty often without any issues except the one time it shattered the screen, but this new screen has already cracked in multiple places with just a few considerably mild drops, especially around the edges. Luckily, they put a special sticker over the screen so the cracks do not affect the phone's use except cosmetically, but the mixed bag desrves acknowledgement. read more

I had a minor problem with Gadget where the owner was not happy with me testing my cell phone after he repaired it. But he relented. My REAL problem is he ruined my battery. He probably left it charging too long. That phone has a terrific battery, and used to hold a charge two days. Now it's only half a day. ARRRRGH! read more

Highly recommend this place. My clumsy butt loves cracking my screen on my iPhone and they have replace 2 for me and did an amazing job. They also replaced the battery. Fast work and very friendly. And they have discount for some federal government agencies which is a plus. read more

I brought my iPhone in during my lunch break with a cracked screen. They fixed it within 15-20 minutes. Their pricing was cheaper than my prior experiences with replacing a cracked screen; plus they gave me a $10 discount for federal employee. Definitely recommend. read more

I stopped into this store in need of a new cell phone case for my new phone. The staff was friendly and helpful. One technician took time out to help me pick the case specific to my needs. I also was able to ask them questions about an older phone that had screen issues and while they weren't able to assist me, they pointed me in the right direction to get my problem resolved. This is a nice location for the people who work in the area. They cater to the business hours of the people who work in the area. However, it would be nice to maybe either open and hour earlier or close and hour later. Their current business hours are 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. read more

Absolutely do not go here for screen protectors. Honestly, I wouldn't go here for anything! The guy who put my screen protector on my iPhone 7 seemed completely careless in his work. He put one on and it was messed up so he pulls it off and slaps it back on but realized it wasn't gonna work. He proceeds to put another one on, ok cool. Nope. He hands it to me and literally says, "that's the best I can do right now." The edges weren't perfect and he tries to blame Apple. What? I think, whatever, and leave. But as soon as I leave I notice there are like 7 tiny lint bubbles you can see when the screen is off. So, I go back and show him and ask if I can just get a new one to put on myself. He says the bubbles aren't a big deal and since he already wasted another screen protector (his fault, remember!) he can't give me one for free but he can give me a discount. Sorry but that's not acceptable. If I put it on wrong that's one thing, but all the flaws were his fault. If you can't put a screen protector on perfectly maybe you shouldn't waste people's time or money by offering it as a service! read more

They fixed my phone in 30 minutes and it's functioning just as it always has. The quality of work was great! A few notes-- the store opened 30 minutes late. I made my appointment during my lunch hour, so I only had a limited amount of time. My appointment was for 12 and the store didn't open up until 12:30 or so. Waiting around on my lunch hour the extra 30 minutes was not ideal. Also, the online appointment booking says 15 minutes-- be prepared for around a 30 minute wait while they fix the phone (assuming they're not backed up.) read more

Like many others, I rarely (maybe never) give one star reviews. And I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But this is over the top poor customer service. This location is near my office. I purchased a 2 in 1 travel charger on 7/22/2019. The charger stopped working by 7/28/2019. Upon inspection, I saw that the cord had frayed apart. Clearly a defect and not user misuse (It was one week old). When I returned to work on 7/28/2019, there was a sign on the door that the business was closed until after 2:30pm. I could not wait and was unable to return until 8/1/2019. The employee working was unable to assist with an exchange, but offered to sell me a new cord (seriously they sell defective products and then offer to sell you a replacement?) The owner returned and refused to take any action or assistance. He claimed that I he had never seen this before (unlikely - but perhaps because folks don't take the time to return with sub-par goods?), suggested that I caused the damage and that I was out of the 5 day window for exchanges/returns (note - they are closed Saturday and Sunday), so he would do nothing. Now I am left with putting the charges in dispute and dealing with the manufacturer directly. If this is the care he shows his business, I would not trust him with screen repair. My Iphone 7 had an accident. Cracks everywhere and touch not working. I was the first customer today 5/9/18. The gentleman was professional and did an awesome job fixing the phone. Used their repair service twice for cracked screens, they are fast,very reasonably priced and a pleasure to do business with.

My power charging port on my iPhone 6 was not working correctly, and I thought it needed to be replaced. The estimate for part and labor was $85, but the technician said he would check it over to determine if it really required replacement. When I returned to pickup my phone, the technician said all that was needed was for the charging port to be cleaned. He could have told me the part needed to be replaced, but instead, was honest, and acted in my best interests. He charged me $20, which was significant savings as well. Don't waste your time or money here. I had a screen replaced on on my iPhone. After only six weeks, the screen started to come off. I took the phone back to see if they could fix it, and they accused me of physically damaging my phone instead of trying to come up with a solution. When I asked to speak to someone above the sales manager I was speaking with, he said he was the boss. Worst customer service that I have ever been subjected to. read more
