We walked into the Westminster store, stood there for quite a while, and not a single employee acknowledged us or asked if we needed help. We weren't browsing displays--we were there specifically to switch our service from Verizon to T-Mobile. After waiting long enough, we simply left. I turned to my wife and said, "Let's try the Huntington Beach T-Mobile (Store #8194)." Wow... what a difference. The moment we walked through the door, three employees greeted us and asked if we needed help. Within minutes, Ulises Garcia, a Mobile Expert, came over, asked what we wanted to accomplish, and immediately got to work. I had all of our information ready, and while there were a few typical snags during the transfer process, Ulises handled every one of them calmly, confidently, and professionally. He never seemed flustered and made what could have been a stressful process feel easy. I was also impressed by the atmosphere in the store. The staff treated each other with genuine respect and friendliness, and it was obvious that Ulises truly believes in T-Mobile and enjoys what he does. That kind of enthusiasm is refreshing. Most importantly, there was zero pressure to upsell us. His focus was simply on making sure our switch from Verizon to T-Mobile went smoothly. After about 2 mins of speaking to her and explaining why we were there, she completely dropped her professionalism, and began asking us personal questions about our relationship that became more and more invasive as time went on. She asked us how we had met, how long we had been together, who had made the first move, how he had "gotten me," were we living together etc. We politely engaged with these questions slightly to keep things friendly, she was after all helping us with getting him a new phone. At one point, my boyfriend told me later, that when I had gone to the bathroom she asked him "aren't you afraid to move in with her?" Additionally, at several points during our time there, she began switching to speak to him only in Spanish, excluding me from the conversation, despite the fact that he speaks perfect English, and the entire conversation from the beginning had been in English. We also observed several other unprofessional behaviors. Jackie openly complained about other customers after they left the store and, during phone calls with her supervisor, told us that he was drinking and that we should excuse him if he sounded drunk. In addition to all of this strange and unprofessional behavior, she didn't actually fully explain to us why my boyfriend's old phone was not being traded in for a credit. We both left confused, as we had been fully convinced we would be trading in his old phone for a credit off of our total charges. She was much more interested in steering the conversation toward our relationship and personal lives than in explaining to us all of the aspects of his new phone and new plan, and we left confused and uncomfortable about the entire experience.

Home Depot Westminster....... Very disappointing experience…read moreat the Westminster Home Depot. I purchased a DAP DryDex Heavy Duty Wall Repair Patch Kit as a new, unopened product. When I got home and opened it, I immediately noticed that it appeared to have been previously used. A significant amount of the spackling was missing, and the included putty knife had visible material/residue on it. I had not used the product myself. I returned to the store because I wanted to report the issue and have it properly addressed. Instead, the employee I spoke with was extremely dismissive. She essentially told me that she had no way of knowing whether I had used it or whether it had been used before I purchased it. She repeatedly insisted that I could only exchange it and told me, "We can argue all day. You will only exchange it." What made the situation even more confusing was that she later told me to come back when she wasn't working, because another employee would apparently be able to handle it. If the system truly would not allow her to process the return, I don't understand why another employee would be able to do it. To be clear, this isn't about the $16. I could have simply kept the product and used it. The issue is that I purchased something as new that appeared to have already been used, and when I reported it, instead of investigating how that happened, I was treated as though I might be responsible for the condition of the product. Customers should not have to argue with an employee simply to report that merchandise sold as new appears to have been previously used. I hope Home Depot reviews how returned merchandise is inspected before being placed back on the shelf and also reviews how this particular complaint was handled. The product itself is inexpensive. The customer-service experience and the principle of the matter are what made this disappointing.
