I really wanted to give PCAR a try. Unfortunately I was disappointed to get no-showed on my appt, especially after a good phone conversation with Mike about our broken washer. Canceled another service provider, cuz Mike said he could come out sooner. Tried the same ph number, n/a, left VM, no call back. Also no alternative way to leave an email with this company, because e-address not published on website. The Service call price is inconsistent - $85 on their website, $89 on Yelp, and on phone, Mike said it would be $95 and wouldn't honor website price. Mike came he next day after I contacted him about our washer. We have a GE Profile top-load washer and the lid had cracked in the back. Mike notified my he was on his way, during the agreed timeframe, and arrived as expected. He reviewed the machine and gave us an estimate. He was very informed about the condition as he had seen it before. With the estimate on the parts, which are intentionally expensive, and his labor, it made much more sense to buy a new washer. It is REFRESHING to have such an HONEST person assisting you. He could have said it would cost a few hundred dollars to fix, wait for the part and then install. But he was very frank and told us the fix wasn't the best investment but he would do what we wanted to do. I knew that was a option but Mike gave us the numbers to make the decision.
