    Live leaf cocktail
    Ann L.

I had dinner here with a colleague while in town for a conference. It is away from the crowds and easy to miss if you don't know it's here. I lucked out that she's been to NOLA many times and knew good spots. The cocktail list is wonderful and has a lot of herb forward choices. The live leaf was refreshing and perfect for a warm evening. We shared a number of dishes and all were excellent. The fried oysters were amazing; the batter didn't overpower the oysters and they were cooked perfectly and so delicious. The crudo was excellent and the shrimp chips were a fun tasty addition adding some crunch to the dish and also enabling us to not let the rest of the sauce go to waste. The pork cheeks were tender, flavorful and amazing. The BBQ shrimp were excellent, fresh, sweet and perfectly cooked. The bread was perfect for enjoying the rest of the sauce. For dessert, I had some of their homemade ice cream. All the flavors sounded interesting; I decided on the cherry cola and it was delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere is casual and modern with an open kitchen incorporated into the dining area, so it's kind of like eating in someone's kitchen. The art all over the dining area was so much fun to look at. I'll definitely be back next tome I'm in NOLA!

One of my favorite places I visited at when I was in New Orleans. The everything on the menu looked insane. Definitely come with friends to share plates. I sat solo at the kitchen counter and highly recommend doing that; make a reservation for sure. I had the Crudo, lemongrass chicken gumbo, and the foie gras buttercream carrot cake with house made berry shiso sorbet. YEAH. I know. If I lived here, this would be my go to. The service is top notch and the space is casual with a quirky aesthetic.

Listen, I wasn't sure I understood what this menu was on. The food sounded so different that I couldn't fathom what the taste would be. Luckily, our server curated an amazing dinner. Every bite was better than the next. The incredible taste we are still talking about is the ice creams... my Goodness!! Apple Miso, Curried Banana, Brown Butter Caramel... just living in head rent free

We stumbled on this place, just a little north of the French Quarter, off the beaten path, but still very walkable. They found a table for us, even without a reservation, and served the MOST AMAZING brunch. Fried chicken sandwich, Bloody Mary... everything was delicious. We came back for lunch the next day because it was so good! Full bar, great cocktails and friendly service. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is super cute!! Love the decor! Doc, our server was awesome!!! If I could give her 10 stars I would. Waiting patiently for Someday we won't remember this The food was so good. The corn babies, crab claws, and Pompano tostaditas were my favorites! I could've had another round of those I can't wait to see what else yall have in store

Omg, 5/5 stars. What an amazing dining experience! Staff: super friendly and welcoming, and made excellent menu suggestions. Shout out to our server Chelsea who made us feel like VIP guests! The space: vibrant and cozy! I love that it isn't a "fancy" feeling, but they are very intentional about it having a funky living room vibe. Also, they had the ultimate bops playing (not too loudly, of course...Sade, Frank Ocean, JT. My playlist, basically lol.) The food: phenomenal!! We shared a Coolinary and the Corner Store Crudo which was my favorite dish of the evening. I hear that the secret ingredient is pineapple Big Shot...iykyk! But, that P&P salad had to be the best salad I've had at a restaurant, ever. And the charbroiled shrimp...delish. Of course, I just wish that the portions of protein were larger but these are more like tapas. I get it, lol. Palm&Pine will certainly be added to my rotation, with the P&P salad being a weekly staple. Thanks for yalls hospitality!

We dined here for brunch on a Sunday. We sat at the kitchen counter. It was fun to watch, but I will say it was very cold back there. I would imagine because the chefs get hot so I'd be mindful. It was hot out so I had a sleeveless top on and wish I had a long sleeve or light jacket. I had the shrimp and grits but my favorite dish was the P&P salad my husband and I shared as an appetizer. It was one of, if not the best salad, I've ever had. I had a michelada to drink, and it did take a while but it was very good. The staff was friendly, although the service was a bit slow. We will definitely be visiting on our next trip.

Ok so this review is for DRINKS ONLY as it was too busy to order food from the bar and the only available seating was for drinks but this has been on my list of places to check out for a while. The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. The bartender was busting her tail and cranking out beautiful cocktails one right after another. I opted for a glass of wine and my date went with the spicy marg. The marg was tasty and so was the wine, however, it was served in a regular drinking glass. I get it that they're not a wine place but why serve wine if you're going to put it in a clunky glass. Regardless, we enjoyed the visit and hopefully next time we can try the food!

Palm & Pine is all vibes and bold bites. The Corner Store Crudo is a snack gone gourmet, while the P&P Salad keeps it crisp with a swagger. Corn Babies are crispy, creamy perfection, and the TX BBQ Shrimp is a smoky, juicy flavor bomb. For drinks, Old Time Feelin' is a warm, boozy hug, while Thank You, Next is bright, punchy, and refreshingly sassy. Palm & Pine keeps it funky, flavorful, and just a little wild--just like New Orleans.

Palm & Pine -- A Culinary Love Letter to Flavor! If you want a meal that dances with depth and surprises you at every bite, Palm & Pine absolutely delivers. Blue Crab Cake - It's all about the depths of flavor. Every bite is perfectly balanced, rich, and layered -- the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation and say "Damn, that's good." P&P Salad - Something special happens here. Fresh, bright, and perfectly composed -- JUST WOW. Lemongrass Fried Chicken Gumbo - Unbelievably delicious! Comfort food turned culinary work of art. That lemongrass twist? Genius. Corn Babies - I cannot not get these. Sweet, crispy, and addictive -- they're happiness in a bite. Hot Sausage Stuffed Dates - Rich AF (for real), but DUDE, they are so worth it. Sweet heat perfection. Catfish Bacalaitos - Little balls of Cajun happiness! Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside -- a total must-try. The atmosphere? Absolute perfection. It fits the vibe of New Orleans with ease -- sultry, stylish, and alive. The staff is super attentive, funny, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they love being part of this team, and that energy shines through in the experience. A true gem in the city's food scene -- Palm & Pine isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. 10/10 Experience.

Unreal food. Cannot say enough about this place, the food is so bomb and it was so good we came back for dinner on Sunday after having their breakfast on Saturday. Some of the best food we've ever had in New Orleans or anywhere.

I was walking through New Orleans, headed to a bar I've visited before, when I happened to look up and see the sign for Palm & Pine..I guess that was my sign to check it out! This mildly dim-lit, swanky spot has a creative menu that immediately caught my eye. I started with a craft beer that had chocolate influences, it was decent, though not my favorite. Then came the real star: the gumbo. What intrigued me was the Creole pumpkin potato salad served instead of rice! such a twist! I went with a cup for my test run, and wow, I wish I'd ordered the bowl. It was absolutely delicious, and I'll definitely be back for a full bowl next time. I sat at the bar as usual, and the barkeep was super nice and attentive, adding to the great experience. If nothing else, stop by for the gumbo, you won't regret it!

Passing time by seeing which local cookbooks I too, have in my collection.
    Emily M.

I had imagined having to spend a fortune on many small plates just to fill up at palm and pine but lo! I shared 4 items with a pal and we were full-FULL. Between the fried chicken gumbo, corn babies, corner store tuna crudo and the app special of the day; a crawfish gratin stuffed paddy pan squash we were delightfully satiated. The squash wasn't underdone or overcooked which can be hard to do. It was fabulous! I could've eaten a whole additional tuna crudo as the flavors were so nuanced, and the gumbo could cure what ails ya! The corn babies could've used a touch of salt but delicious nonetheless. A rotating menu means there's always a surprise as owners visit local farmers markets regularly for inspiration. Simply delightful!

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!
