We had the best food from their food truck at a concert. The catfish plate was amazing. The cajun shrimp pasta, too.

05/24/26 Sunday…read more Stars: 4.5/5 Our friends booked this venue for their wedding reception. Sea Queen has a restaurant side and a banquet hall side. We had the banquet hall side and it was able to accommodate 200 guests. They had the place set up early and allowed the wedding party to come in advance to drop off drinks, decor, etc. They allowed us to bring food and alcohol. They also prepaid for drinks from the bar so folks could order from a bartender. Only a few dishes were ordered (since there was other food from an outside catering vendor) and I only got to try it after it was cold so I can't give a wholistic review on the food they serve, but I really liked the leaf wrapped beef with Banh Hoi (vermicelli sheet) and the mango salad! My one complaint is the women's bathroom. Two (out of 3) of the stalls can't lock so the girls had to help each other hold the doors closed. However, it was mostly clean and had toilet paper in stock. +They offer takeout containers for leftovers from the party. +Very kind and accommodating staff. They cleared some tables to create more space on the dance floor. +Parking is plentiful.

When we first walked in, the place looked empty, and my wife and I almost considered leaving. Just as we were about to head out, a server came over, seated us, and explained the menu. The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.

If you're looking for fresh, flavorful seafood in Upland, you have to try Mariscos El Güero…read more I started with the aguachile and it had such a bold flavor with the perfect spicy kick The shrimp tasted super fresh! Next was the campechana--loaded with shrimp, abalone, and octopus Everything in it was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh. Definitely a must-order! I also tried the camarón with tostadas and avocado SO good! They give you plenty of shrimp, so you can enjoy it with crackers and tostadas without running out The portions overall were really generous For drinks, the mango agua fresca was a standout They mix it with mineral water, and the sweetness + carbonation combo was chef's kiss And of course, I had to try the mango margarita It was perfectly sweet, smooth, and not too strong--super enjoyable! They also have a lot of specials going on, so there's always something new to try Even though it was busy, the staff was super friendly and attentive Overall: great vibes, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and amazing service Definitely worth checking out!

And I thought I'd try a taco since they looked good on the Yelp reviews. I ordered a fish taco. When I got my food, the taco was massive with tons of cabbage piled on, topped with a lot of crème and some salsa. But I liked it cos most places dont even put enough of it. When I bit into it, I was wondering why there were pieces and thought they cut up the fish (?) only to realize it was shrimp. The waitress must have misheard me when I ordered fish taco and gave me a shrimp taco. But I'm not complaining cos it was delicious. The shrimp was lighty battered, so you get the taste of the shrimp right away. You also get a slight crunch from the shrimp and it pairs well with the cabbage and sauce. This is a definite must order if you're craving tacos. Before I ate my taco, I made sure to put some lime on my ceviche to "cook" it a little bit with the acid because the shrimp is a little too "raw" for my liking. It also comes with tostada chips / shells. And I was also given a bottle of crema, hot sauce (?) and some sort of brown sauce (sorry I dont know what this is called but it's delicious!). Halfway thru my meal, I noticed the gentleman was served those Mexican pinwheel shaped chips. As I was paying, I asked the lady what he was eating. She said they're called chicharones de harina. I asked her if it's free or he ordered it. She said it's free and asked me if I wanted some to go. Service needs some improvement. Although the waitress did check on me from time to time, she never asked me for a water refill - and clearly my cup was empty. Also when I arrived, why was I not offered the chicharrones de harina and the gentleman in front of me got some right when he arrived. The ambiance was chill and quiet. There are 4 Tabs which I'm sure this place gets busy on game days. Definitely a place to check out for the ceviche.

(Not sure if he's the manager now or a different person, but every server here is polite and efficient). Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

My friend and I were charged $1 extra on some items and when questioned the young lady says they have a new price but was not able to make the changes on the menu on the counter, the updated price is on the menu board above. When we did look up the menu board price did not reflect the changes. we looked baffled, I mean it is $1 difference it's not going to break us . It's more of the attitude when asked .. ( I get it , it was chaotic and busy ) Grilled Fillet of Sole , 2 sides of collard greens and red beans and rice , fish cooked perfectly and seasoned well, collards greens were tender but not overly mushy . Rice and beans were ok, Not my favorite.

Got to see Raina did her 3 lbs Shrimps eating contest (she won!) Also saw Mimi and Mr. Stretch. There was live music with the DJ, and everyone there was having such a great time!
