UPDATE : while i was looking for my rice cooker and hoping i had some rice in the pantry for dinner the restauarant called twice to try to resolve this issue with me. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Ordered from Door Dash. Ordered rice, paid for rice, did not receive rice. Called restaurant and they were unable to resolve so now I have to make rice so I can enjoy my meal. So much for not cooking tonight. You need to check your orders before they leave and where is my refund? $3.44 for rice I did not receive. read more

Word to the wise.. when requesting naan, ask them not to wrap the naan in this red checkered paper. It'll bleed onto your naan and it may not be the easiest process to have it replaced. read more

I just had dinner here, I ordered the butter chicken and veggie samosas couldn't finish it. The butter chicken was too spicy and so salty... I really thought it was chicken tiki masala. Now I eat Indian food All the time and I always order butter chicken this was not it for me.. I had to get it to go. My other half will eat it! They didn't even offer a bag to carry my left overs.. read more

This place is amazing. Very relaxing and chill. We came here on a Thursday for the all you can eat special. The selection of food is great. I recommend the butter chicken. The chili naan is delicious, but be careful it's really spicy. They also have garlics naan that is really good. Andy took care of us. Great customer service and really friendly . Went with friends for dinner on Friday night. Staff was friendly and restaurant was not crowded. Everything we had was delicious!! Very welcoming when we first entered. Came for the lunch buffet and it was excellent. Well prepared, flavorful, and tasty. Ambiance was very chill for a Friday lunch hour! $36 for all you can eat buffet in this economy is a steal IMO. Garlic Naan was perfectly crispy with great flavor as well. I was looking forward to trying the food here, but I left before I had the chance. I was the only person in the restaurant. The server took my drink order and then walked off to tend to a phone order. After he was off the phone I still sat with no drink. The server stayed preoccupied and left me sitting there, so I took my business elsewhere. I had to give a star in order to post this review. Otherwise they wouldn't have gotten one. read more

This place doesn't live up to the hype in my humble opinion. All the flavors are there, I just feel like I needed some basmati rice with my dish and maybe some Nan bread. I ordered to go online ahead of time and they didn't make my food til I got there. Also I had to ask for utensils and napkins and they were stingy on those. Hello, about to eat some messy food here I need plenty of napkins please , not just the 1 he reluctantly handed me. Also there's some shady stuff going on behind that curtain in the middle of the day. That's all I'll say. read more

-4 is my rating, The food was less than average, the service nothing special and when I asked for carries to take left overs, the guy told me it was too much. I did not leave any tips as they do not deserve it. Aroma, there is nothing of Aroma in the restaurant. The server did not know the answers to basic indian questions and need to be asking the cook every single question. I of course will not go back and will not recommend to anyone. read more

The place itself is nice. Tables seemed clean and the environment was comforting. Service was fine. Nothing to rave about. Went for the lunch buffet at around 1 pm. A few other people were in there when I was. Buffet offerings were limited. Less than other Indian cuisine lunch buffets I've had in the area. The food was a little disappointing. Rice was very crunchy. Did not enjoy that. Everything else was ok. The experience was a disappointing lunch buffet. The price was fair so I can't complain too much. Would come back again for dinner to have the chance to order the options I'd like and give it another shot. read more

I went here for the first time about 5 months ago and couldn't stop thinking about it since. I recently placed a to-go order with pretty much the same things I ordered last time and it did not disappoint. I will say the entrees don't include rice but 1 order is enough for 2 people. I ordered 2 and had way more leftover rice than I had liked to have. My only "complaint" which isn't really a complaint is how spicy the samosas were this time around. I could barely eat 1 and no spice level was requested it was just how they came. Other than that I love Aroma and will definitely be back. read more

We always get the vegetable korma which is absolutely amazing! Very flavorful with a perfect consistency. This time we also got the palak paneer which did not disappoint. The spice levels we requested, 9 on the korma and 7 on the palak, were spot on. We also get one rice and one garlic naan. The naan is delightful with great flavor and a slight crispiness. The portions are generous so we get to bring decent amount of leftovers home. The service is quick and friendly, perfectly attentive and interested in making sure our experience was pleasant. The atmosphere is very comfortable and feels a little upscale. More on the modern side compared to other Indian restaurants. I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it. read more

Nice! A Really good and affordable buffet. I loaded up on the tandoori chicken; piece after piece. Both the curry chicken and chicken tikka masala were good as well. Not too many weekday Indian buffets around anymore; but, I'd definitely recommend this one. read more

The food is over priced. They are trying too hard to sell to Americans and over price their Indian food. I am a Punjabi and Indian. Come on. You are not a Michelin Restaurant. The service is horrible and the people are entitled. Get over yourself. You are in USA and you need to provide authentic Indian experience and honor that by being Indian and have an ambiance of the same. read more

Aroma was one of the places that we just happened to stumble across. We were driving looking for a different restaurant and ended up running into aroma and I will tell you that the name of it fits it so well because the aroma of it is what got us out the car and walking into the restaurant. when you first walk It's really clean nice atmosphere Indian music playing. It definitely gives the feel of a bar, but also intimate restaurant. The host offered us buffet, which was a surprise, but also very convenient. I went to the restroom and the restroom was extremely clean smelled nice. My husband and I were the only two in there when we first walked in and into our surprise it filled up really fast everyone going for the buffet, which had several delicious dishes that we have not tried before like the chilli fish, aloo gobi. My favorite was the butter chicken. Until I tried the chilli fish. I consider this a nice surprise. read more

We were regulars at Aroma when they were located at their old venue on Foothill Blvd, so it was nice to see them reopen in their present location in the Vanguard center on Mountain Avenue. The present restaurant is divided into a patio area, the main restaurant and a banquet room. The ambience is quietly elegant with its decor of grey and black offerings . The food is excellent as we always remembered it to be, all presented beautifully, and prices are very reasonable. If you love well prepared Indian food, friendly service and a relaxed setting, this is the place! read more

From the moment we walked in we could smell deliciousness. The server was extremely attentive. We ordered an appetizer of Urban Gobi Crunch which was fantastic. The lunch buffet for $16.99 at Aroma is delicious. On the day we were there, It provided many wonderful choices of food: samosas, a variety of different rices, dal, vegetable korma, spinach saag, yummy and moist tandoori chicken, chicken tikka marsala, chili chicken, a very fresh salad, and dessert. The tamarind chutney was fruity and thick. Garlic or plain naan was included. Most impressive was the quality of the ingredients and how flavorful each dish was. They offered both indoor dining and a large outdoor patio.The restaurant is easy to reach, located on the South East corner of Mountain and Foothill in Upland. The parking lot is huge.The service is good and the food is delicious...we will be back for sure. read more

But it was way too much. Any notes of mango or fruit or sweetness was lost in the smoke. The blue sky looked pretty. But after having a sip of the silver cloud it killed my taste buds. I couldn't taste anything in the blue sky. After our first round of drinks we were done. Had to go home and make myself an extremely sweet drink to get my taste buds back..... its a great concept. They gave us some ground rules and led us to our tables. At the table you have a QR code where you can place drink orders. The bar brings out your drinks to the table. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The drinks were all sweet cocktails and in the "Matterhorn Lodge" theme. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase (per guest) and each drink is $20+ so it can add up. I'm more of a beer person but some of the drinks were delicious. There was one that tasted like Christmas morning (cinnamon, clove, milky) and another drink that had popping boba that was also fun. They don't have any food, but there are often food vendors at the brewery across the way, and you can bring your own.
