Reasonable prices and a very professional, knowledgeable team. I first spoke with Cici for a…read morequote--she was so friendly and helpful that I decided to book right away. Alexis came to collect samples and called to confirm before arriving early. He did a very thorough test and was very respectful of my place. When I mentioned my home is shoe-free, he kindly put on shoe covers without hesitation. Fantastic team! Hopefully I won't need their services again, but if I do, I'll definitely return.

This is the second time I've used JLM and I'd still recommend them. I'll list the pros and cons of…read moremy experience. Positives: Friendly customer service. Good communication and quick scheduling. I was able to have a technician come out the same day I called to schedule. The technician was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions while he was concentrating on the testing, set up etc. He was careful with his words meaning he didn't cause any unnecessary stress or anxiety. He wasn't pushy and was conscious of the cost while also recommending what samples are needed or suggested. He was clean and careful. Cons: Expensive compared to other mold testing companies. The invoice can quickly add up. I originally planned for about $800 ($500 base fee plus $75 for 4 samples). I added on asbestos test and that brought my bill to over $1300. In some ways I see this as a positive though because you get what you pay for (I hope and can't compare to any other company). My whole house wasn't moisture mapped as I was told it would be. The tech said they only focus on the reported areas of concern. Not a big deal but would've been nice to know. I kept getting rescheduled by 15 minutes. The tech was running late then running early so that was a little confusing. I jokingly asked them if I get compensation for the changed appt time since I signed the contract already (they charge $150 for any changes). They said no. The report is a bit confusing as it was the first time. The most annoying is that in the asbestos report they suggested further testing. Likely costing another $1000 or more. I thought I was already paying for the best testing. This feels a bit like a trick in some ways. Overall I'd go to JLM again. I suggest to do some research beforehand though to know exactly what you need done (AND WHY meaning are you renovating or just wanting to know for health reasons etc) so you don't get unneeded tests or costs.

After Kris was done with his observations he spend time with the us ( potential buyers) to explain all his findings in details, the report was sent to us in the same day. I will definitely use Elite group in my next home inspection services.

We were so grateful for his patience and expertise, and believe me when I say we *really* peppered him with questions. He enjoys teaching and sharing his experience with others, and even encouraged us to reach out to him afterwards if we had more questions. After the first sale fell through, we made an offer on a different property and requested Jeff to come inspect that one, too. Once again, he took his time to carefully review his findings with us. I love DIY home projects so I especially appreciated his tips on which repair items he would do himself and why. If you're interested in learning more about how homes are built, how to maintain and care for an older home, or just generally want to improve your confidence and competence as a homeowner, I definitely recommend Elite and Jeff Shankle in particular.
