After they started the job it was discovered that they were unqualified to remove the ductwork and insulation properly. I wasn't aware that houses built in the 1960's used asbestos and throughout the house. The asbestos needed to be properly removed before any repair work could be performed. However the company gave me the impression that they were skilled and licensed to perform the removal. It was never mentioned to me that specific steps needed to be taken when dealing with asbestos. While removing the damaged ductwork they disturbed the asbestos thus making the house uninhabitable. Tony's company was brought in to perform the test for the asbestos. Asbestos was detected. Tony was very professional and helpful to explain the situation and provided information of what the next step entailed to resolve this matter. The testing report and procedure 5 plan was prepared by Titan. The report and work plan needed to be submitted to the SCAQMD for approval. His knowledge regarding this matter was absolutely first rate. He helped guide me through this difficult process.
