Toasted Cheese tomato sandwich and fries.

Good Greek diner with all your diner classics and favorites. Service is excellent with orders arriving quickly from the kitchen. Price point is average but they do cater to those folks seeking a simple but reasonably priced lunch. The diner is literally off the exit of I-95 North or South in Milford CT which makes it a very convenient stop for travelers seeking a good quick meal when passing through. Stop by and give them a try; see if you agree.

Delicious! Great portion sizes too. The service was very friendly and plenty of seating. The menu has a huge variety to choose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have been here several times and they never disappoint. Great location.

"Joy to the world All the boys and girls now Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea Joy to you and me" (Three Dog Night) Any server with the name "Joy" automatically has a big challenge ahead when it comes to customer service, professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness. Our server, coincidentally with the name "Joy", was fantastic, and she did her name proud. The Athenian is one of those garguantuan sized diners that could easily make you think you were sitting in a booth on Long Island or in New Jersey. I was there Thursday for a business lunch and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The Athenian's parking lot is big so parking isn't a problem. The problem you'll have is navigating their enormous menu to decide what to eat. The lunch menu had 11 burgers (really 22 if you considered their 'deluxe' options), 10 Triple Decker Sandwiches, 8 cold salad platters, 6 diet plates, 10 tortilla wraps, 28 sandwiches, 3 Greek specialties, 5 Grinders, and 9 salads. So are you hungry yet? I went with a small Chefs Salad ($14.99) with eight big julienned pinwheels of turkey, roast beef, ham, swiss & america cheese piled on top of sliced tomatoes, hard boiled egg & cucumbers on a bed of mixed greens. The $14.99 serving was massive and I took home about 2/3rds of it. Growing up near New Jersehy and Long Island, I'm a big fan of these big diners that serve a big variety of cuisines and food styles. Milford's Athenian and our delightful server puts them right up there among the best of the best.

    Moussaka was delicious!

Classic diner. The menu is vast, the staff was quick and friendly. I got a view of the delicious looking desserts but I didn't have any room to enjoy them. Service was pretty quick, little less than half the tables were sat. I ordered the monte cristo, Amy got the Moussaka, it was really good, I would order that next time! The Monte cristo had fresh ingredients and tasted good but I didn't expect it to be open face and made eating it a little difficult. Not a bad stop on the way out of the city. If you visit try some of those desserts for us :)

Athenian diner , came here for the French toast and I was blown away by how delicious my bread was so soft and melted in my mouth . I've also tried the smooth creamy fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli , the meal was amazing . More than I could finish, it was just as delicious the next day . Many grateful meal options to choose from . You won't be disappointed going here to eat.

Delicious! Wait staff was friendly and super fast; my sandwich was fresh and the fries were crispy (and cheesy, my fav!). Clean and classic diner feel- I loved the oldies music playing. Felt old school in the best way.

    Eggs Benedict Florentine w/ potatoes

Nicely seasoned food, not over salted or peppered Eggs Benedict Florentine with potatoes. Portions gave me an option for breakfast for tomorrow. Server was attentive & helpful. Warm & welcoming environment. Price point was perfect. Highly recommend "Shiny Diner" experience. Gave a 4 only to inspire to always push for sublime. I don't like to bother servers, it'd be nice to have alternate sweeteners accessible to patrons.

This place is clearly a local favorite as the small parking lot was full, but we lucked out as someone was pulling out as we arrived. The service was top notch! We were greeted by a friendly young woman who seated us right away in a 2 person booth. The place is your classic stainless steel exterior and the inside was packed with happy patrons. The people in the booth next to us said they rarely dine out but they frequent Georgie's for their food. We were served by 3 different young women who were super friendly and professional. Before we got our food I was thinking I would come back for the service alone. Now the food. I ordered Georgie's omelette with home fries. 5/5. Excellent omelette and though the home fries were just potatoes they were cooked with some crunchy bits that simply elevated them. Laura got the eggs Benedict and she loved it. 5/5. We also ordered the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and bananas. These were the best pancakes I've ever eaten 5/5! On top of it they serve organic food and locally sourced ingredients. The diversity of their staff was another added feature. This place is special!!! Laura and I agreed that it was the best meal we ate during our New Haven weekend. I would go on a 1.5 hour road trip for this place. Top notch!

As soon as we pulled into the parking and saw two police officers and at least four to five people from nearby businesses enter we knew we chose the right place. My wife had the cinnamon raisin French toast and I had the same thing I always get so I can make a good comparison (two eggs over easy, hash browns, rye toast, bacon and a side of sausage) Eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was just right, the sausage links were some of the best I have had in a long time, the hash browns were made with peppers and onions and were cooked just right The staff gave us the perfect amount of service while not being over the top. The ambiance was one of calm and you could tell the staff was relaxed Upon leaving we said our goodbye and thank you and a gentleman behind the front counter who was speaking with the Stratford Officers stopped for a minute and thanked us and told us to be safe in our travels this morning. I can assume he was the owner and, if so, I can see where his staff gets their training My wife and I felt appreciated in that moment. He and the staff had no idea if we were new in town, people passing through or we came in from a different town they truly made us feel welcome and we will certainly be returning Maybe this upcoming Sunday morning!! P.S. the coffee was excellent also

We ordered the pumpkin pancakes and the biscuits and gravy to share and they were so good and our favorite at the table. My friend and I got the egg salad sandwich on a croissant which sounded amazing but was not tasty. It lacked simple seasonings - that's the only negative. Prices were decent, service was great - we didn't have to wait to sit down, we walked in and looked for our own table... our waitress was friendly and recommended dishes for us to try. I'd def go back next time we are in the area.
