What in the world is going on?! I just went to Atlanta Bread in Smyrna (4490B). I entered when one customer was leaving at approximately 9a.m. today. There were zero customers. I stood at the counter waiting for the guy to take my order. He COMPLETELY Ignored me! As is my character, I waited patiently and still no service. A young lady walked in, he greeted her and begin to serve her in a very pleasant manner. I waited. Four elderly people came in, he was going to wait on them next!!! WHY!!! Why should I have to act like a freaking idiot to pay my money for horrible service?! I shouldn't and I won't! Stopped into Atlanta Bread recently while in the area and I'm glad that I did. I'd actually only tried them once before while at an airport and I was craving soup, so I figured, "why not?" This spot really reminds me of their competitor (that starts with a P and a B), visually, even upon entry. When I went in, there were a number of guests quietly sitting and enjoying their meals, a few were working and some were having meetings. It seems like a great place to enjoy some remote work or just a calm lunch out with friends. I headed up to the counter with only two diners in front of me so I took the time to drool over the baked goods on display. The variety was incredible!! After my drool session, I peeped the menu. There were a number of options including a Pick 2 menu, something I always love at these soup/salad/sandwich spots. The cashier was incredibly friendly and even took the time to give me his soup suggestions after I asked. I opted for: a full sized hot chicken sandwich for my bf, and for myself, a broccoli & cheese soup, butternut squash soup, half a pastrami panini and a sugar Queenie. (Pls don't judge me for being greedy!) My order was ready in about 15min less with no complaints from me. It was packaged up nicely for my drive home and super fresh & hot. My bf had no complaints about his sandwich and it was gone in minutes. My broccoli & cheese soup was delicious, wish there was more broccoli but I say that every time I have some no matter where it's from. I didn't love the butternut squash but it was a backup that I just ordered for kicks. It was too sweet for me, I wish it was savory with some garlic and goat cheese! The pastrami sandwich was good, I think it would have been even better if I ate it when it was fresh, but it was packed with pastrami. I was so bummed when I realized that I wasn't given a pickle (I loveeee pickles), but my sweetheart gave me his. The real star of the show? The sugar queenie!!! Omg it was SO good. I actually ate it two days later (I put it in a ziploc bag) and it was still so fresh and so soft. I put it in the microwave for about 15 seconds and it tasted so delicious. I went this morning to have breakfast and I ordered the Classic Breakfast plate. This is the worse breakfast I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were hard and way overcooked, the potatoes were old, dried and tasteless. The toast wasn't even toasted and very hard and chewy. This place really sucks and I shouldn't have stayed there when I saw this place was empty, it is empty for a reason. I will never comeback!!! read more

This ABC sits directly on South Cobb Drive and sits in the shopping center that is anchored by Publix. Parking is never an issue as the lot that services this location and the two other businesses in the same small strip has enough spots for all. I have come through this location for bulk orders for the office and for individual lunch/dinner orders. The bulk orders were always done well, prepared when I arrived and always correct. The staff has always helped me carry my items out and made sure I knew the distinctions in varieties of my order, specifically the coffee blends! My personal orders are normally sandwiches and chips. My go to is usually the steak sandwich with their plain chips. I always enjoy the variety of bread for this sandwich, the French baguette. It holds up so well to the juices of the meat and carries the meat and cheese so well! Service wise I have had good and "meh" experiences. I will say that on my morning visits, I always get stellar service. It's weirdly my afternoon/evening visits where the counter service is less than stellar. Maybe folks are just tired by that point? Whatever it is, they seem less enthused about assisting customers as the day progresses. It has never been outright terrible, but it is a noticeable difference and can sometimes be a little unpleasant. Overall, ABC has been a staple in many cities I have lived. Their food is consistent and tasty. Prices are a little off for the serving size of their current menu, so I don't frequent them as much as I used to...but when in the mood and in the area ABC is a solid option! read more

Honestly, I wanted to like this place more than I did. When I looked at the menu, there were so many sandwiches that sounded delicious. I got half an ABC sandwich and half a pastrami panini and the clam chowder. The ABC sandwich sounded so meaty and delicious. It comes cold but I like my sandwiches hot so I asked for it toasted but they either didn't toast it or barely toasted it because it was still cold when I ate it and that just kind of ruined the experience for me. It just tasted kinda bland and there just wasn't much substance in there for something that is advertised to be super meaty. I had a better experience with the pastrami, I thought that was actually delicious. It was warm and juicy and actually quite good. The clam chowder was disappointing. It was room temperature bordering on cold, I couldn't even drink it. I took it home the next day and heated it up myself. It tasted better then. I will say it has pretty good flavor. I come here fairly often because it's close to home, but honestly, the service is not as good as it could be. They frequently get orders wrong, which is a big part of the reason why I no longer order take out, it's easier to correct an order when you're dining in.. today I asked them to leave the cheese out of my order; they didn't and when I sent the food back there was no acknowledgement of their error. What's worse is that they returned the same plate to me when the cheese visibly poorly scraped off, and worse the potatoes were undercooked. Two can dine for roughly $40, which includes a cup of soup, 1/2 sandwich, small fountain drink, bread, and a cookie. Working at the airport for years, I used to love eating at ABC. So when I moved to Smyrna a few years ago, I was excited to see that there was an ABC just minutes away! I love the Greek Salad which I always add grilled chicken. Its tasty and always filling. The only down side about my experience here was the French Onion Soup. It was just very salty and the flavor was just meh. I used to love the soup at the airport. Not sure why the flavors were so different and far off, you'd think it would taste the same. Ordered 2 croissant sandwiches with meat, one ham, one sausage, but they didn't bother to give me the sausage I paid for. By the time I realized it, it was too late and I had to get to work. It was on both receipts but somehow they couldn't get it right. On top of that they were very pricey for what you get, even if they hadn't managed to short me on a simple order. The Staff that waited on me was awesome. The Cheese danish was amazing!! The Coffee was great (and I don't put sugar in my coffee so I can really taste the coffee). The bacon egg and cheese Breakfast sandwich- not so much. I put some jelly on it and rolled with it. Its hilarious because when I picked up my plate, an employee directed me to the jelly and I grabbed it but was thinking- why?? I know I am not going to put jelly on my danish nor my egg sandwich. I get it now. It made the sandwich. Good looking out. I will def come back for the danish and drinks and great customer service. The location is great. Parking is easy. Dining room is decent. Came here for a quick soup run for my mom, who just had dental surgery and couldn't eat anything but soup. I got a sample of their Butternut Squash soup and Chicken and Wild rice. And them both was amazing. So! I decided to get them both. The butternut squash was smooth and creamy with a ever so lightly buttery sweet taste. The Chicken and wild rice was thick and hardy. The service was pretty slow, considering it was just us along with one person already seated with his food. And a gentleman came after we had ordered. The few employees there seemed like they was trying to find things to do to pass time by. Like sweeping the floor several times and walking back and forth. But I was okay I wasn't in a rush. Though I used to love the food selection and the quality of the food this is now the third time I have came at least 30 minutes prior to close and been told that the kitchen has already closed and they have a very limited selection of items that you can order. Tonight I arrived at 7:20 PM and they are signs everywhere saying they close at 8 PM and the staff was clear that they close at 8 PM but they could not prepare many things for to go orders. I understand it is rude to arrive at a sit down restaurant and expect to order food and eat it there when the restaurant is going to close in 10 or 20 minutes but when you're going to a glorified deli and getting a to go order 40 minutes before they close and have difficulty doing so I believe that is a problem. it seems that the goal of the staff is to have the lights out and doors locked well before closing time so they can go home early. read more

Super good muffins! Wish I could have tried their food their menu looked amazing. Same vibe as a Panera but with a local feel. We tried blueberry, banana but, cranberry orange and chocolate chip muffins and they were great! Also got an iced coffee which was amazing. We used to love the Turkey Bacon Avacado sandwich at this location, but it mysteriously disappeared from the app one day. Checking another location and it shows up at the top, so apparently it's just the Smyrna location that has taken it off. Nonetheless, I was on my way there to place a lunch order but when I got inside they were happy to make it and the sandwich is listed physically on their board. Here is the problem: calling this location gives you a robo-message informing that they no longer take orders over the phone and to use the app/website, but as mentioned above this item doesn't exist. So, in order to get our favorite sandwich, the only option is to drive over there, order in person, wait for it all to be made, and then head back with the sandwiches? Either put the item back on your digital menu, or accept orders over the phone, but this current situation is frustrating especially when all you want is lunch first thing in the afternoon. read more

For breakfast if they were closer to me I'd be here all the time. They have a deal for coffee and croissant for like $5. I however veered off an got the caramel macchiato and a croissant with egg cheese and turkey sausage. Very, very, very happy for my selection. Atlanta bread company at this location has really improved. I was greeted right away with all smiling faces. The cashier was super friendly and answered all my questions. I was a little early for the kids eat free Tuesday but she still gave me the discount. Great customer service. Clean bathrooms and tables. Clean floors. Everything was perfect about this visit. I love Atlanta Bread , their service is usually amazing ! But today I had the worst experience . I was hung up on twice for my pick up order by a young lady while I was asking her to take off the mushrooms for an order I just put in and this just really put a bad taste in my mouth . This has happen to me and all my friends who go there I won't be back . IF I COULD LEAVE ONE STAR I WOULD. The sandwich was put in at 3:02 and call at the same time to ask for the mushrooms weren't on the sandwich . And when I arrived to pick up my order she went off saying that I lied on the phone and refused to give the condiments that came with the sandwich and then got rude and told me I need to pay for it and after I said I would she walked away as I was speaking and I had to ask her AGAIN .
