Drove to the site and placed an order for four people, half the order was made incorrectly even though the ticket was correct. I like this place for the convenience, but the service is absolute garbage. Additionally, it's not very clean. From an operations perspective, none of the employees seems to have defined roles & responsibilities. I ordered bagels and an espresso drink and apparently the cashier was responsible for getting them. However, the line was so long that she didn't bother so it slipped through the cracks, as evident by my blurry picture of the order screen with 4 separate dine-in orders that were open for more than 11 minutes with no end in sight. This is a good spot to meet a small group of people. I was a regular here at one point because i needed a spot to meet people. I loved sitting by the fireplace, but there is ample seating throughout. Parking is easy and the staff is nice. That said, I'm hardly ever comfortable eating here because the silverware, 98% of the time, is dirty. Like dried on crusted food dirty. At one point one of the servers kept bringing me a new spoon when I asked for it and I finally asked for plastic. The dishes are often dirty too. The staff, while nearly always warm, are often not polished and professional. That, along with the silverware, makes me further lose confidence in eating there. And I don't blame the staff for their performance. I blame the company - the staff likely just need more training and supervision. Finally, the food is just okay. It's what I'd describe as very edible. But the ability for me to eat it decreases with the dirty silverware and dishes. Still a great meeting spot though. read more

It all started with a Honey Bun...I found this little hidden gem several (8ish) years ago when my Mom stopped in for a treat (honey bun). It was quiet, low key and they offered WiFi. I visited a few times when I wanted to get out of my own space to do some work. About a year ago (and three kids later) I needed to get some heads down work done in the middle of the day and calls for Mommy were preventing that. So I opted for a visit to ABC around the corner. I was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance upgrades they had made, the new meetings rooms, changes to the menu and of course the blazing fast WiFi. This has become my go to "offsite" work spot. I'm building a company and this has afforded me a place to rent meeting rooms to have brainstorm sessions with teams and I get the added benefit of having lunch catered in house for the team. Speaking of Team! The crew is amazing! They are engaged, polite, consider and most of all kind. They all know me and greet me with smiles and high energy. They cater to my crazy Keto requests and when there aren't a lot of people (early am or late pm) we have conversations like old friends. On Sunday evening at 5 :15 PM we came in to a clean store. The advertising as you walk in got us excited about the new fall pumpkin soup. When we ordered it, we were told they did not have any! False advertising and so disappointing. THEN we ordered 3 dinners: two different soup & sandwich combos and a flatbread. We got our drinks and found a seat -- then the cashier came out to tell us they had none of the french onion soup we ordered AND they were out of ALL flatbreads! So 2 of our 3 meals we had paid for were not available either!!! This is ridiculous! Anyone can understand being out of 1 thing but this was over the top and cashier didn't know - took our $ and the later came out to table to inform us! They have slightly less imaginative and healthy choices than Panera Bread but it's worth it to support an Atlanta business. I found this location comfortable and welcoming with ample parking. Clearly the staff don't read or care about orders placed. It's not hard to make a simple turkey sandwich on SOURDOUGH bread not wheat. And it's common sense that when someone orders French onion soup you DONT add the croutons in the soup so that it's a big soggy mess. Really great food, sooooo much better than Panera!!! I cannot say enough great things about this location the manager Daphne is very focused on customer service (in a great way). She and her crew members like Ashmou have turned our crew into raving fans! I highly recommend this location for people who have allergy concerns because I myself cannot have any milk but coconut milk and they have been so gracious to let me bring unopened to coconut milk and use it for my lattes. Because of this I and others with allergan concerns visit this location more often than any other coffee shop that I can think of. They are also very mindful to take care if you have gluten allergy concerns they can suggest non-bread food items that may work really well for you-I know they did for me thank you so much Atlanta bread! read more

This is the first place I've been to in Atlanta so far to eat. It's 8 in the morning, and i'm sitting here Yelping because my friend is in a 3 hour mandatory class in Smyrna. I was on the lookout for a Starbucks nearby, but saw this place instead and decided kill the 3 hours here since they have breakfast, coffee, and free wi-fi. The coffee is good. I got the Vanilla Nut and I think I'm on my third cup of joe now. I also ordered a cherry croissant and a Chocolate croissant for my friend on the go, and a breakfast platter for myself. The croissants were Starbucks quality, but I wish they heated it up. The breakfast came with eggs, sausage, potatoes, and toast. I ate barely anything. The eggs were not hot and the potatoes were dry. I munched on toast with butter and jam mostly. Maybe its the fact that I'm still a little jet lagged but I needed to eat. read more

But would I steer you wrong? Atlanta bread co, known for its yummy sandwhiches, salads, soups and of course bread, added a little something something to their menu a while back..and well, I thought I'd share... I've always been a huge fan of the BBQ pizza... and I was kinda suprised at the Taste-T-Ness of the one served up at the local ABC. BBQ Chicken - BBQ Sauce with Chargrilled Chicken, Red Onion, Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeno Peppers (upon request). Id recommend the Jalapenos if you can stand the heat..It gives it that extra bite. And oh, ya...request some crushed red pepper, and get some grated cheese, and Sha-zam...That's a seriously BBQ pizza. The crust is thin, the ingredients are fresh, and well, Its amazing.. Now here is the best part about this pizza...It's only 5 grams of fat and 320 calories, and 2 grams of fiber... for half of it....Thats 10 grams of fat and 640 calories, and 4 grams of fiber for the entire pizza. If you are looking for a yummy alternative to picking up lunch, and are trying to pick a healthier choice...I would definitely give it a try. The pizza is split up in 4 slices... I can eat 2 and be pretty full, so sometimes i take the rest back to work, put it in the fridge, and pray that it is still there when I go to leave (Ya, we have an office lunch snatcher among us) ..Makes for a good "on the way home snack" or even dinner. But then there are the times when I am really hungry and haven't eaten breakfast and finish the entire thing...I'd say its about 12 inches in diameter...A little bigger than the standard Personal Pizza. This Atlanta Bread was disappointing... (1) The lettuce in the salad was a bit withered/brown...not bad enough to return, but definitely not what it should have been. (2) I asked for ranch dressing on the side...I got blue cheese on the salad...had to send it back and ask them to do this again (3) It took about 10 minutes to get the salad the second time...way too long for a reorder! (4) The fork/knife they brought me out were dirty...with dried on food on it. (5) Even cleaning out the trash can was a disaster...I watched as the manager and one of the service girls walked by the trash at least a dozen times with it piling up and out of the trash can...to the point that people did not know what to do with their trash... I always order online before heading to the store and most times my food is prepared and ready upon arrival. The 2 times I've experienced delays were when Ashilay or Ashlan is working and it is always without regard. Today , April 5 , my avocado toast and soup was suppose to be ready by 1pm in which I assumed it would be because it is a very simple meal but when I arrived at 1:07pm Ashlan told me to please wait 5 min. I waited 17 min before I decided to go inside, there were 2 customers in the restaurant - 1 of them in which was already served. It wasn't busy at all. Ashlan tells me they never made my meal and that she was about to go in the back to prepare it herself. At that point, I declined and asked for a refund. She turned and walked away while saying she'll refund me and I left. No lunch, no regard, total inconvenience and I was late returning to work. Thank you read more

I don't like being the first negative review for 2019, but, after going to their local site to seek answers and comment, their "comments are closed." Oh well - this is the second time I've been overcharged for a mediocre lunch at this location. Beware of their "half and half" meal for $7.50, which states "any half sandwich and bowl of soup," yet they apparently up-charge for one or both items, and they don't tell you this. My half turkey sandwich was dinky, with thin mushy tomatoes. The soup was okay. I added a $1.95 fountain drink and was charged $12.14 total. They could do way better, not going back. read more

This is a good example of this type of chain (sandwich/bakery). The space is inviting and the staff is friendly. Food delivery is quick. A nice "eat in" lunch place - though I have had them cater business meetings. Broad assortment of baked goods, soups, salads and sandwiches. I have tried almost everything and find it all to be pretty tasty. I usually get the ABC and the chicken Cesar salad is good as well. All around a pleasant experience. I really hate to even post this review as ABC is one of our go to spots. We walked into ABC @ 8:15. We checked to make sure they weren't closed as it looked so dark. They closed at 9:00. The employee was sweeping and had the vacuum cleaner out. We walked in and I asked if they were open. She said kind of. I said if you are closed, we will leave. She moved to the counter to take our order. The pastries were already out of the case, one tea container was at the drink station, and they looked closed. She asked if it was for there or to go. We already decided we would take it to go. If we had not, we would have changed our mind. We felt like we were intruding and in the way. I ordered a sandwich and asked about the soup. She did not seem interested in me ordering soup, so I just ordered the sandwich. My husband ordered his sandwich. The order arrived quickly and we left quickly. Very bad experience. read more

I consistently enjoy visiting Atlanta Bread Company! It's a nice spot to work from, meet at, or just get away to think. They have reliable wifi and good food. There's plenty of comfortable seats. The employees are really nice, though sometimes they can seem a little disengaged, but no one is ALWAYS cheerful at work. My suggestion would be work on the employee culture by finding news ways to engage with employees to drive job satisfaction. This will take the experience to a new level. read more

Will never return to this ABC location after disappointing service. One of the staff members refused to replace a dry piece of bread with a packet of chips for my meal. The bread was stale and dry so I requested for another side for my soup and sandwich meal, but unfortunately was curtly refused. I have lived in Smyrna for 10 years and have never experienced this kind of petty attitude or service at other cafes and therefore going forward will always choose Panera over Atlanta Bread any day. read more

Unclean and loud. Now featuring loud gossip, dirty dishes left on tables for over thirty minutes, and a manager who was eating and standing around the whole time I was there. I used to work at this location eleven years ago when it first opened, and I have to say that it has really gone downhill. I remember a lively, well-organized atmosphere with managers that kept on us about getting our work done. I don't remember ever seeing anyone have a full thirty minute conversation while on the clock. As they used to say in my food service days: If you can lean, you can clean--the bathrooms. With bleach. Also, the dining room is arranged strangely. Maybe this is the standard now, but should there be an enormous blockade at the door followed by a winding labyrinth to the cashier?
