Title: Poor Installation and Zero Customer Service My builder hired Atlanta Flooring for a flooring installation, and unfortunately, it has been a very disappointing experience. The installation was poorly done, zero underlayment was placed down, floorboards are now lifting, chipping and peeling like spaghetti. I contacted Crystal Williams at Atlanta Flooring and she processed a claim. An inspector was sent out to my home. The inspector let me know that the job was poorly done and I definitely had a case, hence my entire bottom floor of lvp was lifting. The flooring was literally laid on top of concrete without curing it as well. The only feedback I received from Crystal Williams was that my claim is denied and they will not cover the cost for fixing the horrible job that was done. Several other homes in my community that had work done with Atlanta Flooring are also all having multiple issues. Despite multiple attempts to contact Crystal Williams, Joe Kehoe, Mark Tunick, as well as any other employee at this company via phone and email I have not received a single response. It's been 6 months with no follow-up, no resolution, and no accountability. Customer service is just as important as the product itself, and unfortunately, this company has failed on both fronts. I regret choosing them and would not recommend their services to anyone looking for quality work and reliable support. read more

My builder in nc used this company to buy the hardwood floors for our house. I have been trying to submit a warranty claim for over a month now and Atlanta flooring so so difficult to get a hold of. I've sent countless emails to the builder, manufacture, and Atlanta Flooring. I just want the claim to get my floors replaced since they have 25 year warranty and the floors are only 6 years old. We had we ordered our bathroom and kitchen flooring for our new build at Atlanta Flooring and I must say the customer service was terrible. Jeannie was our sales rep and during the process, there were no floor samples provided and her communication with our builder was non existent. We wanted to make changes to our order to complete our project and it took them weeks to respond. We paid extra for everything and they were super expensive. After, the project was completed we needed to order one more tile to finish one of the bathroom and she never responded. We will never recommend this company to anyone. read more

This bad review is primarily because of the customer service I received from the initial phone call I made after being referred by our builder's Sales Agent. We wanted to extend the hardwood flooring throughout our new constructed home in Georgia so we reached out to Atlanta Flooring who installed the initial flooring. I should have followed my first instinct of not dealing with Atlanta Flooring from my very first phone conversation with the representative that took the call. She was clearly out of touch on her customer service skills. After finally being connected to a so called design specialist named Sandra Polo who I believed was a sincere and professional specialist I decided to give Atlanta Flooring another chance However, my first instinct was right. The rudeness and lack of care for customers continued with Sandra Polo. My experience with her got worse because she turned out to be the BIGGEST LIAR and FRAUD I have ever dealt with in my life. After having an appointment and driving over 75 minutes to discuss and purchase additional flooring and other designs I wanted them to perform in my new home because Sandra made sure to tell me she was a design specialist, I spent a total of 15 minutes speaking with Sandra at the front door. She did not escort me back to her desk and proceeded to rush me through our appointment. In addition, she assured me that, I would be receiving a phone call shortly after our rushed appointment that my quote for the additional flooring and my wall designs would be sent to me immediately because she would go back to her desk and work the numbers. However, I had to contact her and in doing so my disgust for her HORRIBLE CUSTOMER service and lack of enthusiasm for my business was brought to her attention. After I expressed my feelings to Sandra, she was extremely apologetic and wanted me to give her another chance. She immediately rushed one estimate to me in reference to the flooring, but neglected to give me the quotes for the other designs I wanted done in my home that we discussed. I contacted her and what did she do her usual, LIED and thought that I was going to continue with her FRADULENT behavior. I told her that we were NO LONGER interested in doing business with Atlanta Flooring, and we now have another flooring and design center installing our flooring that we are happy with and had the BEST EXPERIENCE from start to finish. Although we had the WORST customer service experience with Atlanta Flooring because of Sandra Polo I am SO GLAD that we did not spend one red cent outside of our new construction with this company. My home builder contracted with Atlanta Flooring Design to install floors in my new home, and from my initial walkthrough my entire 40 feet foyer area wood floors from the front door to my stair case were not glued down properly. You could actually feel and see them lifting and I hadn't even moved into the house yet. Upon moving in, my builder scheduled an appointment with this company and when David, the inspector, came to my home he advised me to wait a few more months before having them fix my floors because more wood may lift upon my house settling in and more wood in other parts of my house may lift, and if it did, they could fix it all at once. Well, I contacted Atlanta Flooring Design 4 months later to come out and fix the foyer area and areas in my kitchen and dining room that had lifted. On repair day instead of replacing the wood, they punched holes in my floors to add glue and applied pressure with their hands to hold the wood down for 30 secs. The following day, my floors buckled up because they didn't bring anything to apply and hold pressure on the floors on the day of installation. They scheduled another appointment for me the following week and the installer repeated the same action the installers the week before did and my floors lifted again. I contacted my builder and told them at this point I wanted my floors that had lifted and bubbled to be REPLACED- not repaired. When Atlanta Flooring Design came to install my new floors they arrived with the wrong wood. It did not match mine so I refused to allow them install because I didn't want to have mismatched floors. They placed another order and a month and a half later came out today to install; yet the wood did not match my floors for the second time. It's now been a year of going back and forth with this company. My phone calls from the floor ordering specialist, Janay, are never returned, and they have not held up to their warranty contract with me and my home builder. I do not recommend Atlanta Flooring Design because they claim they'll make repairs to your floors, but they'll actually punch small little holes in them to put more glue underneath them, and they won't bring anything to apply pressure to hold your floors down for at least 24hrs while the glue dries- your wood floors will bubble up. Also, they've ordered the wrong wood twice and have not reached out to me to apologize for the inconvenience or attempt to resolve this year long issue. This is the most unprofessional company I've ever conducted business with. read more

We hired Atlanta Flooring Design Center to do the tile in our new house. They installed the tile out of square, warped, and crooked. I found out through other tile contractors that AFDC has a reputation for hiring cheap inexperienced installers. AFDC refused to correct their work, and we had to hire another contractor to repair the damage they caused and properly install the tile. We're building a house in Grant Park and our builder sent us to the Atlanta Flooring Design Center to select our finishes. We made an appointment with Angela and she helped us coordinate everything. And when I say everything, I mean everything: the exterior, fireplace, door hardware, cabinets, countertops, mirrors, paint & trim, plumbing fixtures, carpet, tiles, and hardwood floors. Aside from commercial work, they also do residential work. When we went back to the Design Center to change some of our initial selections, Jim was very helpful. He specializes in residential design (renovations, etc. from what I gathered), and just happened to be kind enough to lend us his eye. I felt really good about all of our selections when we left that day. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the market for new flooring, cabinetry, or countertops. read more

This will be a long post, but that's because there's a lot to write about. First, we went to Atlanta Flooring Design for installing our hardwoods and our carpet. That went mostly well, but we made the mistake of going back to them for our kitchen remodel. The kitchen remodel will be the focus of this review. During the summer of 2016, my wife and I went back to this business to discuss having our kitchen remodeled. We went and made an appointment for measurements to be taken. However, our son was born early and we had to push this appointment back. We worked with a sales consultant named Constance. She was relatively new there, but she was friendly and determined to do the right thing. She came out to our home for many, many appointments. Probably more than were needed. We eventually settled on certain design choices. And this is where the problems began. The amount for the deposit was taken for the correct amount. We were charged much less than what we were suppose to pay up front. I called and attempted to correct this but I was told that we would settle up the account later after all was finished. We also soon learned that our sales consultant was fired and that we were having someone else (Britt? Bret? Brittney?) take over. Never once did she contact us to introduce herself or to review the remodeling job. Coming from a sales background, this is a major issue. On day 1, the electrician was late. Not just a few minutes, but he was 8 hours late. I ended up having to stay up so that he could finish the job. He left around midnight. The tile installer was another major debacle. No one had ever shown us the backsplash tiles that we "picked out" - we said we wanted white subway tiles but no one ever showed us choices of design patterns.On the day that these were to be installed, my wife had to ask to see the tiles. These were not what my wife had wanted, but then again, no one ever asked or followed up. Regardless, the job that this installer did was pathetic. The tiles were crooked in many areas and in others the tiles bowed out. Our project manager made him come back twice. The first time was a total tear down and the second was to try and fix other shoddy areas. The cabinets that we ordered were mostly ordered correctly. However, there were parts that were not correct at all. We ordered one large drawer for our utensils, but we were given two smaller ones. The installers eventually cut out the divider, which was done awfully. After two more people came out, the center bar was deemed "as good as they can get it." Additionally, I had to ask where our utensil organizers were since no one ever brought those. The real mess happened when they were moving appliances. Many of our hardwood boards were scratched, dented, or both as a result of the installers moving our appliances. Need I remind you that they damaged the very same hardwood boards that they installer in 2015. After many, many discussions with a manager there named Charles Taulbee, I eventually made it clear that I needed to speak to one of the owners since no one ever was interested in doing this job correctly. Eventually, I got my wish and spoke to Frank Winter. He was not happy about how this was handled and he swore that his company didn't operate like this. No one ever followed up, but when they wanted their money, they called to "settle up" and yet we're shocked to find out that the job wasn't, in fact, finished at all. Communication is lacking here to say the least. After several attempts to "fix" our damaged floor boards, they gave up. The same manager I was "working" with informed me that they would never be able to meet my -apparently- high expectations. And he's right: I do hold high expectations. When you pay for something major like this, you want it to be done correctly AND in the least amount of time. We were originally quoted 6-8 weeks for our job, but after all was said and done, it took almost a year. As I told the various people at this company, if we would have known that any of this would have happened, we would have just went to a more reputable contractor. If you asked me about to summarize my experiences with Atlanta Flooring Design Center, it would be this: imagine a train wreck, a dumpster fire, and a nightmare all were merged into one. THAT is the best and most accurate description of working with this company. I wish that I could give a lower review score than one star. One star is far too generous. Unless you enjoy having to do all the hard work yourself and being left out in the dark, avoid this place like the plague. read more

The builder who built my house three years ago contracted with Atlanta Flooring in Suwanee. I have had major issues with the installation of my Master Bathroom Flooring Tile from the start. During the builder walk through, there were about 4-6 tiles that were cracked. Atlanta Flooring sent someone over to replace the tiles. Needless to say, this person did not do a good job. During the warranty period, 14 tiles had to be replaced by Atlanta Flooring due to further cracking of tiles and installer incompetence during replacement of tiles. I was told by Atlanta Flooring management that the issue was faulty installation by the initial installer. I requested that the entire tile floor be pulled out but Atlanta Flooring refused, even after speaking with the owner of Atlanta Flooring. "That would be like a total remodel" the Field Manager stated to the owner during my presence. Last October, after another tile cracked, I asked Atlanta Flooring to replace the one tile. (I have extra tiles which I purchased). Since the warranty had expired, I was now told I had to deal with the retail division, not the builder division of the company. I had to pay Atlanta Flooring $200 up front before the work would even be done. The first installer that was sent to my home had a medical condition and was shaking all over. He cracked a large chunk of tile next to the tile that needed to be replaced. So, the retail manager sent a second person over to fix this. He was just as incompetent and verbally disrespected me. Instead of just the 1 tile that needed to be replaced, 4 tiles had to be replaced because these installers chipped tiles. Even the 4 tiles next to the ones they replaced which were perfectly fine are now slightly chipped. Their work was sloppy. About a month ago, 1 of the tiles these guys replaced cracked. I called and asked if there was a warranty on their work since this was done less than a year ago. Initially, the woman I spoke with agreed to replace the 1 tile free of charge. I requested a specific installer and person to supervise to do the work since I only had a positive outcome with them. I was then told by sales there was difficulty in scheduling and was emailed the name of a tile person I might try to call from another company; no mention of whether Atlanta Flooring would cover the expense. I decided to post this review to let others know of my horrendous experience with Atlanta Flooring during the past 3 years. The tile installers I dealt with, with the exception of 1, did horrible work so I would not recommend. read more

I can't even give them 1 star... I would have to give them a big ZERO!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Our HOA contracted with them to put a new floor in our elevator and it's the worst flooring job I've ever seen. It's not what we picked out and they didn't put any trim on it so there's an exposed area all around the bottom of the floor. It looks absolutely awful. But the worst of it was the attitude of Alan Franks when we asked for them to complete the job to what anyone would expect, which is a quality finished look. He refused to help us in any way, saying finishing it off wasn't in their quote to us. How can you quote a job in the first place that is only half complete? Really terrible. They may be better at commercial then residential. The work was done professionally but the agent representing Atlanta Flooring Design Centers is reason for the 1 star. This is the experience of dealing with a very unprofessional company. There were constant mistakes. 1st the measurement, 2nd the required materials and finally needed materials for steps that were of course not included. The markup for labor and materials is ridiculous! They came out to the house for the measurements! This was not like he took my guess over the phone! He had no problem trying to pitch me the 0% financing which I turned down. For how pathetic this was, I want you to know this was a total of 350+ sq feet including the stairs. This guys original quote to me was $10,000.00 WTF is he going into the woods and cutting down the trees and making the wood himself. By the way the material cost was about $1200.00 The only thing that stayed consistent is the price kept going up magically. I told them good bye and good reddens. Unless this is a contracted company by your builder don't use them for personal projects. The quality of work is exceptional but this has nothing to do with them this was a subcontractor. Used this company for our kitchen cabinets and counter tops. They made a lot of mistakes in our kitchen cabinets. First, they delivered the wrong material. Second, some cabinets were the wrong size. The guaranteed cabinet installation should only take a day or two. It took them 1-1/2 months to finish it. Installer has to come back 3 times. And just like Atrox S. review original price quote went up even though we added nothing new. Their sales rep. Vanessa made all the measurements. and yet all the errors were being charged in my invoice both the wrong size (which they're employee Scott already picked-up) and the replacement cabinets plus extra installation fees. Its all their inaccuracies and delay. I hope the management will resolve this issue because it is unethical to put their employees incompetents at their customers expense. read more

Atlanta Flooring put carpet, tile, and engineered wood into my new home. They worked through my builder. We closed on Jan. 2016 and the carpet is lifting and the engineered wood is chipping. The master bath has grout and had to be stained by them after installation and now the grout is two different colors. I have tried to contact and work with management, but to no avail. An Atlanta Flooring representative showed up when I went into arbitration with my builder and made claims that they would take care of the things that they knew were their responsibility. They lied to the utmost.I live in an area outside of Augusta, GA and they were driving from Atlanta to this area. I guess they think that since we are so far from Atlanta it does not matter. Take your money and use another company that does quality work and stands behind their products. read more

I wish there was an option for a zero. We moved into our brand new house almost four years ago and choose upgraded carpet through Atlanta flooring. Within the first year we had rolls all over our top floor. They came and "fixed" it and within a year the carpet is ten times worse. We have fought our builder and Atlanta flooring on not only the quality of the hard woods they installed but the carpeting. I would strongly recommend not using them for flooring. read more

These people don't actually install but use third parties and their QC, quality control, aren't installers nor have the knowledge to actually perform the jobs/problems they are scheduled to come and visualize. Obviously not smart and doesn't make sense. When they do require something to be fixed it took multiple and I mean multiple times to finally correct the problem which still not right. Used this company for a residential renovation. Overall, the room turned out mostly fine in the end, but every single subcontractor sent over by Atlanta Flooring had to come out 2, 3, or 4 times each to fix previous errors (significant time on our part keeping up with all of the subcontractors and what needed to be fixed). Little to no measures were taken to contain dust or dirt, and some subcontractors left substantial amounts of trash for us to clean up. The corners of all of our walls going to the room were scuffed, carpet was damaged, walls were damaged. Further damage was done to the room as other small items were fixed. Original price quote continued to go up throughout the job even though we added nothing new to the design. Edit: the company did reach out to us after we contacted them several times and we were able to get some of the items finally fixed (5 months after the start date of the project). read more

The builder of our new home, Fischer Homes contracted Atlanta Flooring to install the carpet in our home. They initially had to come back and make repairs soon after the house was built due to the carpet squeaking when we walked in certain areas of the house. About a month ago they sent the same repairman back to repair the squeaky carpet in our master bedroom, the noise stopped for all of two weeks. I contacted Atlanta Flooring and was told to contact the builder, of course the builder doesn't want to cover the cost now because our home is just barely out of the warranty period even though it was their contractor, Atlanta Flooring who installed the carpet. I really wish I could attach the video of their poor workmanship to this review, I will have to save that for Facebook. I would not recommend this company to anyone because they do not stand behind their work. DON'T USE THEM! read more

Horrible service. Over two weeks have passed since our measure, and I still don't have quotes. Apparently it is 'too hard' for our sales person to get them done because we need each room quoted separately for insurance reasons, because he 'has to answer the phone and talk to people who walk into the store'. Other companies have mysteriously been able to give us quotes within 3 days. Avoid them at all costs. read more

The Outlet Store is a joke. The ONLY good thing in the place was the person working there. I don't recall his name but I know he had a bit of an accent. Super nice person, extremely helpful, very cordial, pleasant, well mannered. He tried to help us but when I compared prices to similiar places, they are way too expensive so not much of an "outlet". Then I check reviews (as I usually do when I'm thinking of putting down a good bit of money for a product and/or service) and see that people have had to have workers go back to their homes to fix THEIR OWN mistakes up to 4 times before it's correct!! So I went with another company and they did a fantastic job. My recommendation is to stay away from this place completely! read more

Horrible!!!! I called to get a quote and estimate for a very high end stair carpet, Stanton style Donatello. The salesman set up an estimate; they never showed. We went to the sales center the very next Saturday. They assured us their person that did estimates was on vacation and was having a hard time catching up. They assured us he would show the following Wednesday, that visit was 9/9/2017. Today is 9/26/2017 and we have not heard from them yet. I would NEVER use this unprofessional company. read more

Atlanta Flooring and Design was hired by the builders of my subdivision. They were asked to come out a replace bubbling, uneven vinyl installed by another company. They did a horrible job. The flooring had to be replaced again and they didn't even do it right then either. It's still bumpy and bubbly. Because my builder refuses to get this done correctly, I'm having to pay out of pocket for a different company to come out. Don't go with Atlanta Flooring and Design, unless you just want to see them again and again. read more

We bought very high grade carpet for our entire upstairs + rubber pad about 7 years ago I think. It's been terrific, no issues with the carpet - but mainly my 5 star rating is for their carpet cleaning service. We've only used them to clean our carpets & they've always been wonderful with scheduling our appts right away. I also had to call about 5 years ago when my then 2 year old made a huge mess in his room with - well, it wasn't food! :( I was so distraught. I called them late afternoon the same day it happened and they sent someone out within an hour!!! Incredible service. We've just never had any reason to use anyone else. They've cleaned our fabric furniture & back deck rugs as well. I feel their prices are very reasonable for all the work they do - but honestly, it's worth more to have people in my home that I can trust. read more

We spoke to Atlanta Flooring at a home show and described the carpet in our new build home had stretched and had lumps in every room. We were contacted promptly and an installer was sent out to take a look. They scheduled right away and the team that came out was fantastic. They moved all of our furniture and repaired every room. They replaced everything and cleaned up and vacuumed and our carpets instantly looked like new again. We were very happy with the prompt response and outcome. read more

We called on Atlanta Flooring to refinish our floors and kitchen tiles in our condo. Having called on them before and experienced great customer service, we called on Vanessa once again. She made our customer experience an effortless one and helped us choose our tiles, flooring and backsplash and all within our time constraints and budget! She is awesome to work with and truly cares about the customer and the customer experience. Even when faced with some of the challenges working in a high rise condo, she took control and made it happen. We had Atlanta Flooring remove carpet from my living room, upstairs hall and master and put hardwoods there. Our home is 25 years old. They removed all the squeaks, and the floors are absolutely gorgeous!! They had to match our existing floors and it is a seamless match. They also replaced the carpets in the kids bedrooms and the office, and Julie, our designer was able to find us a great deal on carpet! We also had tile put in the laundry room, again, we found a deal at the liquidation center. All the men who came and worked on the house arrived on time, or even a little early, they worked hard all day, stayed late and finished the job quickly, which is very important when you have a busy household and lots going on. My parents are about to renovate their home,and I am going to have them call Atlanta Flooring! Our house looks new! read more
