Our boys love going to all the camps, and do not mind having to wake up early during their "vacation" time so they can attend summer camps. We also have several friends who have children that participate in their gymnastics program and love having their children involved in the different programs offered at the gym. The people who work in the office at swim Atlanta Hamilton mill are as nice as can be. I was absolutely stunned at the bad attitude that one of the swim coaches had. Her name is Patricia. She made it obvious that she was mad that my daughter started her class after they had already had 2 classes. She couldn't get over that the front office didn't have her name on her list of kids for her class. She was looking at the paper and throwing it down, pacing, her hand gestures obviously showed frustration ( even while talking to my 9 yr old daughter). She singled my daughter out and made her feel unwanted. She was so grumpy and agitated, no patience. My daughter wasn't even able to finish practice bc she made her feel so bad that she was in tears saying she wanted to leave. Shame on coach Patricia for making a sweet, excited little girl question her love for swimming. Only then, when she saw my daughter crying and Us go in the office did she come in say come on Addie you were doing good, what's wrong? I couldn't believe she had the audacity to come say a single word to my daughter while she was crying bc of her actions!! This lady will single handedly make them lose business no doubt about it. I say "camp", because it wasn't. The "camp" was unorganized and not structured. This is what happened on the first day of camp. First off, about the facility, I really didn't get the concept of having a hardcourt floor and sand for volleyball together in the same facility because sand was transferring everywhere. Also the place is not sanitary. There are 2 restrooms. The one in the office had a ton of fruit flies flying around and the one in the gym had fruit flies and dead bugs. Plus, the place was tremendously hot. So about the "camp". First, he was the only instructor for the camp, with the exception of his son and another lady....not really sure what their roles were, because they really didn't do anything. There was no formal introductions and no daily agenda to explain what they would be doing for the week. Then he had all the kids lumped into one group... 5-12 year olds. A real basketball camp separates the kids into their own age groups. He also had everyone shoot on the very tall goals and the little kids not having the right size ball. At around 12 noon he separated the big kids and the little kids, but he had the big kids play 2 games and the little ones work on shooting with his son and the other lady. It seemed that he was more interested in the big kids, then everyone as a whole. I don't know who that female "coach" was, but she cannot teach at all. She had to look at her phone several times to figure out what to do. Little kids have a short attention span, and she didn't keep them entertained and the kids were bored. They had the kids together instead splitting them up. The majority of the kids were not focused...they were standing there not paying attention, playing on the net, and not learning anything. Then they broke for lunch at 1:30 pm and watched a show or a movie in the tiny break room. Then after lunch they played in the sandbox for the rest of "camp". Money wasn't paid for him to play in the sandbox for the majority of camp. The purpose of the camp was to learn about the rules and skills about basketball. On Tuesday, this is when I really knew that this was a scam because Mr. Hines was holding another basketball camp for a daycare center while the i9 basketball campers were playing in the sand volleyball court. When we got there, the camp didn't start on time which was scheduled at 9am. So my mom and I went for a walk, and my dad stayed in his truck. When we returned, my dad said that the door to the facility was locked. When the kids from the daycare center arrived they couldn't get in. So the daycare workers had to call Mr. Hines to unlock the door. My dad asked, "why was the door locked", and Mr. Hines replied "because of security reasons". But yesterday, the door to the facility remained unlocked the entire day. So, my mom had to go around to the back to enter into the facility. Once inside she observed that the i9 campers were not participating in their scheduled basketball camp, instead they were playing volleyball in the sand. It was the daycare children who were on the basketball court participating in their basketball camp. So, my mom left and told my dad what was going on, after much discussion she returned an hour later and discovered that they daycare kids were the only ones on the basketball court being taught about basketball, and the i9 campers were taking a break in the sandbox. At that point, my nephew was taken out of camp and did not return. My dad called i9 to explain what happened. I9 refunded our money, and they were going to discuss the situation with Mr. Hines.

I quickly learned after being on team for two years that this gym is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The thousands of dollars we paid for meet fees weren't fully used to pay meet fees, its was kept by Southern. After realizing what has been going on behind the scenes and the addiction issues the family that owns the gym has, i had to quickly move my kids to another gym, paying a whole new load of fees. Southern charged me for may tution, we left end of April. When reaching out to southern to get my $300 back, they declined. But they have no problem keeping the hundreds of dollars we gave for meet fees that were never even paid for the meets. This gym is extremely unprofessional and is not a safe place for children or your money.

One is a woman and the other is the other owner... Craig the hubby :) He is fun and engaging. He makes learning CrossFit fun for the kids. I have one son who is all into activities like these. I have a daughter who is a little over weight, reason we are here, and hates stuff like this; however, she loves this place. They both do!! People here are friendly, fun and serious about their journey. They are great with teaching the kids proper form which was my main concern! And keeping it engaging. Secretly I'm kinda watching the adults too! Their program with their fun coach seems pretty solid also. Love this place. As long as the hours and days work with ours, we will be here for a very long time. Parking is right outside and plentiful! We pay one price which allows us to come 3 times a week!

A gym member pointed at us and told the coach we may need help then she finally turned back around to address us. The vibe was very stuck up and not welcoming. We decided to try the free workout since we were already there. But to top off the bad experiences, the coach (don't remember her name but she was an older woman with short dark hair) was all over my husband l. Kept following him to speak to make convo and giving him extra attention. Pretty shameless and unprofessional. We both felt extremely uncomfortable. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the workout was actually good.
