So disappointed in this place on so many levels. The rooms were very outdated, the bed was so uncomfortable. I think I would've rather slept on a blowup mattress. The pillows were trash, thank God we only stayed two nights. When my sister arrived ( who actually booked months prior to us), the office informed her that they could not locate her confirmation and reservation, even though they did have the room for my parents, which was on the same reservation. They went on to tell her that they had no rooms available for her as they were sold out, even though she had paid in full and there was a room available for a person whom had not yet paid. They still refused to give it to her. Extremely unprofessional and rude. After a runaround d a manager was able to somehow get a room to her around 5:30 PM that day. In addition, my parents, who are in their early 80s, were given a room on the 4TH floor in a building where the elevator was broken. Not a word was said about a broken elevator! We are presently staying in a 2 bed 2 bath unit and we called the help line to report that one of the bathrooms has low water pressure in the sink and shower - the shower also doesn't have hot water. They said that this was due to the drought but our other shower and kitchen sink have fine water pressure. Also the master room shower that all 5 of us have been using doesn't stay at a constant temperature - it oscillates between scalding hot and very cold. read more

Booked a 2 bedroom condo through RCI. Smooth sailing all the way! I had a beautiful 4th floor condo with an ocean view. Very clean, everything worked, and there were extra beach and pool toys in the closet. The only issue we had was not enough toilet paper & dishwasher pods. A quick text to the front desk & it was taken care of right away. This is a good location to access both Miami and the Keys. The pool is awesome too! read more

Absolutely a beautiful place to vacay! I'm in room 3304, and it's stunning. The marble floors and countertops make me feel elegant. The elevator has been a lifesaver. The pool is such a perfect temp, and sparkling clean. There's been plenty of lawn chairs and tables covered with umbrellas. The bar by the pool isn't in business, but everyone seemed to have brought a stocked cooler. Very chill vibe. No one bothers you and I feel very safe. read more

Don't believe it. Then, tried multiple times to get thru to the general manager who I was told was on site, but never called me back. Then this occurred: We spoke with the Customer Review Rep Christy King who called us bullies and called our son a liar and said he was lying about his. She screamed at us on the phone. Came for Memorial Day for the first time and honestly do not recommend. Went on a group trip with a family who has been going for about 20 years. They rented a one bedroom signature suite and a two bedroom signature suite. The two bedroom was beautiful but the one bedroom which was the one I was staying in had nothing upscaled or signature about it. To begin we were welcomed with a musky humidity smell when we entered. Our bedroom had a double bed not queen as listed on the reservation. The toilet seat cover was cracked and the lighting was dimmed. The couch and ottoman were stained as well and the walls had some stains. The kitchen light did not work at all so we were unable to cook dinner as we had planned. Instead had to take all of our ingredients to the other suite and cook there. After calling customer service twice and informing them about the kitchen lighting and the very small, noisy and uncomfortable bed, their solution was to leave us a table lamp on the kitchen counter. The next morning we went to the office to share about our unpleasant stay. The shift manager working informed us that they are not able to fix the lighting issue and need to order a part in order to fix. Which in our opinion is not the consumers fault and we shouldn't experience an unpleasant stay due to that. She also shared she was approved to provide us with a $100 credit (we still haven't seen this on the CC bill) and were given an email address if we were not satisfied with the $100 to share our concerns. A few days after returning an email was sent and it's been a week since and still no response or credit. It is very disappointing that while everything is so expensive you save what you can to plan and book a vacation to enjoy with family and friends and end up with such a horrible experience and service. They need to correct the room/suite descriptions on their website and ensure that if you are paying for a signature, you are not receiving a standard so this doesn't occur again and isn't seen as false advertisement. read more

I wish they had 0 stars. This resort has no idea how to run a resort business. They called me when we were on our way to ask what time we'd be there, I said in an hour. We get to the resort, the guard gives us a piece of paper redirecting us to an off-site office to check in. Why didn't the girl who called me just give me the address and save me the run around? I finally find the offsite office, check in and asked for the key. I'm told to give a piece of paper to the security guard back at the property. I give it to him and he says "where's your key?" THEY WOULDNT GIVE US ONE BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY'D CALL WHEN THE ROOM WAS READY. So here we sit 2 hours later.... No key and no room. Guard sees us still sitting at the property and asks if we got our key yet. NO! He calls the office and they tell him the room isn't ready yet. Over $1,000 for 2 nights and here we sit. Just horrible service. I have no idea what's going on, but I know one thing for sure, they took my money. read more

Noise is excessive and makes the room during the day impossible to stay in. Property management is apologetic, but that's it. Maybe they should let people know that this is a possibility. We will be staying here for the 3rd time in 3 years next week. Always come in February President's weekend. Always rent from VRBO. We rent 2 condos each time and all have been great. You will read bad reviews on this place but I think all of those bad reviews are from people who rented through a hotel company. The building and grounds are well maintained. We like the pool and large hot tub. The beach is small but well cared for as they will rake up the seaweed as often as necessary. We are boaters, but do not bring our boat as it would be a 20 hr drive. But I'm impressed with the marina and the quality of boats that are docked there, and on trailers in the parking lots. read more

Where to begin... 1st go somewhere else, we checked in on a Monday late afternoon. Was told our reservation would not be ready till 5pm, even though we requested early check in. Front desk service shitty gave us a comparable room. Long story short it wasn't even close. Back to front desk after starting to get irritated they magically had something we should have got the first time. Restaurant has been hardly open. Pool bar opens late afternoon for a couple hours. Our room another laundry list of issues. If you're going to charge me FULL price than ALL your advertised amenities shall be available. There is no onsite water activities. Beach is hard packed feels like sand spread over cement. The room is advertised for 4-6 people, 1 roll of TP per bathroom, 1 dishwasher tablet, 1 miniature bottle of dish soap, no basics like salt and pepper. Pots an pans look like they were purchased at a yard sale no usable lids. Stayed for a week no cleaning services at all. Should be 1 visit midway to clean and replace useable items. We had to buy ice cube trays along with basic items. Front desk advertising ice but cooler is always empty. Impression of Front desk employees is inexperienced and an obvious desire to be anywhere else then here attitude. Toilet is free hanging off the wall, shower has NOOOo water pressure, here that doesn't exist . We saw a 3" cockroach in the bathroom. Floor is dirty, this is not COVID cleaned. read more

It seems like based on the reviews there are some rooms/condos that are kept up and nicer than others. We stayed in building 1 floor 3 room room 305 which was nice, clean and everything in working order. These are 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos with a full Kitchen, living room and washer/dryer. We did not have time to check out pool but it looked nice. After traveling for over 1.5 weeks spending 1 night at this location was great to spread out, get some laundry done, cook food in kitchen instead of eating out once again. I will say they are a mile or so off the "beaten path" so we had to drive to grocery store, to restaurant, etc. read more

I think this place varies greatly based on the time of year and the room you get; luckily our room was clean and was better than the photos! While there was a little rust/dirt on the fridge and the pull-out couch was difficult to put away (likely broken), overall it was in good condition! Our 2 bedroom suite had 2 bathrooms and 2 very small balconies that overlooked the water. We enjoyed the pool and beach area but the cafe should be avoided (understaffed). They also have a hot tub, tennis courts, boat ramp, and small marina for rent. It was a peaceful vacation with few other guests around during our visit which was surprising during spring break read more

Let me start my review by saying, the rooms are individually owned, so your experience can vary based on your room assignment. This was my 3rd time staying here, and we stayed in the best room so far, which was an end room in building 3. Building 3 is closest to the pool. Our room was clean, everything worked fine, and had a great view. The pool area is great, with plenty of loungers and a few tables with umbrellas. Nice to have a bar area at the pool, and the bathrooms are clean. We went to their beach area, and while it is small, it's nice to have this on-site. Noticed that the boardwalk leading to the gazebo has just been rebuilt. Grounds are nicely manicured, and I also like having a guard at the front entrance. Great experience! read more

But if you insist, be prepared to listen to music at the pool that you can't hear or that would make your great-grandmother happy. I decided to listen to my own music (modern yet appropriate) at poolside - that was a big no-no at this Peyton place. This "resort" place is a joke. Helen Keller could have navigated you to a better stay. Please stay somewhere where you can experience a better culture. Burned out light bulbs, one stove top burner doesn't work, not even salt and pepper on site, towels were ancient, repeated requests for second chair for tiny balcony went unsatisfied, most of the chaises on the little beach were broken in one way or another, pool bar rarely open, missing slats in vertical blinds, some silverware in the drawer was dirty, barely furnished. I mean, would it hurt to have a lamp in the living room so the person using the sofa bed could read a book? We were told again and again that the contents of each suite were the responsibility of the individual condo owner. Then the online booking tools should conspicuously state that each guest is at the mercy of the individual owner who may or may not have maintained minimum standards. In the absence of that, I have to believe that this lackluster property reflects equally lackluster standards of Provident, the resort group that manages it. In short I would have loved to have stayed in any of the units depicted on the webpage. None of which was anything like Suite 5304. read more

I love this hotel! We are in the Bonefish building. You can see a beautiful sunrise over the ocean every morning. There is a lot of wild life here as well. Iguanas, Pelicans, fish, jellyfish and more! The pool and beach are wonderful too. read more

This was the filthiest place I have ever stayed. There were light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling in the hallway. Our unit couldn't have been cleaned in months. There was layers of dust accumulated on the fire sprinklers, baseboards and behind the beds. The metal end tables were rusty. Holes in the screen of the patio door. Walls hadn't been painted in years. Huge disappointment and waste of money. Skillets were badly scratched and not safe to cook with. Front door was disgusting. Could go on and on. Need a better process for checkin. Gated entry. Checkin is located at the beach restaurant/bar which is closed for service. One person working it, waited about 30 min in line to check in, ridiculous. The suite was great! Great size, 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, small balcony, full kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher (with complimentary dish detergent pack), elevator. Problems: TV didn't work; room description stated there was a pullout sofa, which there was not. The suite had 2 lazyboy sofas with multiple recliners, and no extra linen to sleep on the couch. Pool is nice and big, crowded though (the place is huge n has only one pool that I saw). Tennis courts, a child's swing set (no playground). Small private beach, crowded. read more

Ocean Pointe Suites at Key Largo has some good and bad sides. Bad sides overweight...... We had the opportunity to stay in a Two Bedroom Suite with excellent view on the sea. The rooms were spacious. We were just across the street from the pool area and we could go there very quickly. There´s a guard at the entry. The good things so far. The Ocean area is near the Reception and the Cafe, but this area is more than small. The water is shallow and should be ok also for small children, but beware of Jelly Fish! So better visit the pool area. During our stay, the pool water was so warm that you nearly can say it was hot. This was not very refreshing. A little colder would have been appreciated. We recognised that during our stay, nothing - and I mean really nothing - was replenished or cleaned. Overall: The Kitchen was dirty, but it seems that the carpet has been renewed recently. The whole Suite smelled like it was soaked in carpet glue. The staff was not very friendly. Would I visit this place again? For two nights it was ok. For more than that --- no thanks. read more

An absolute nightmare! Units are beat up stains all over the walls and the furniture is in poor condition. The kitchen is barely usable with the bare minimum of things needed for cooking, and the dishes had some sort of sticky crap all over thrm, had to wash them before possible to use. The fold out couch had only a bottom sheet, no top sheet, blanket or pillow anywhere. It took two trips to the management / check in desk before I was able to obtain those items! Dearest Ocean Pointe, Another year, another successful Memorial Day adventure in your humble abodes. :) I have to say, this year I was most pleased with our suite. It was decorated pretty well, the kitchen had a nice stone wall decoration throughout, the bedrooms were clean and spacious, and the living room was ample enough for us to get rowdy. I will say that I noticed, much to my dismay, that a lot of little rules changed. For example: we had an iPod with a mini-speaker (barely loud enough for anyone to hear that wasn't in front of it) at the jacuzzi (pool area) and were immediately instructed to turn it off, because apparently there is no music allowed at the pool now... Also, there was a noise complaint against us at 9pm on Friday night. Really?!?!? On a holiday weekend you're going to tell us we're too loud?! But alas, being in Property Management, I totally understand the need for Rules & Regs, and therefore, we complied rather quickly. Still... As always, my love and I sat in some beach chairs located in a few inches of the beach water. How relaxing! We even caught hermit crabs and saw little fishies swimming around our chairs. One of my favorite experiences of staying at OP. :) We also had a nice walk down the boardwalk, although no fun pictures this year. Your staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the check in/out process was smooth, quick, and hassle-free. There's also a bar located in the same area, so one can begin ordering drinks STAT! Not to mention how easy you are to get to and find. A great place to stay when visiting the Northern Keys; all of the comforts of home with the amenities of a hotel. We scuba dive in the Keys, and have been here quite a few times. The positives: big enough for more than one family to stay, so if you are diving with friends, this works. Kitchen in the rooms (these are condos) so, you can have fun and enjoy the day after a post-dive nap with food you've bought nearby. So, overall, great! And centrally located to lots of dive locations. Then again, the rooms are dated - these were obviously purchased by people who just wanted an investment, and allow the condo renters to manage them - and not so well. The furnishings are very tired, (we "fell through" one couch seat as it totally gave out), the rooms are not the cleanest, and the surroundings (pool, elevators, parking) seem very very tired. Then again - we haven't found anything around the area any better. So we will "do it again", but just wish Ocean Pointe did better, or someone did. At least the diving is GREAT! read more

Stayed here for 5 nights to attend a wedding. While the 2 bedroom suite was very nice (2 bathrooms, TV, spacious living room, clean kitchen with some utensils and appliances), a couple things brought down the rating. 1. The pool was under renovation which was very disappointing. 2. Room service did not come in to clean the room or make the beds even once over the course of the 5 days. Anything over 3 days should automatically call for at least a quick cleaning of the rooms. 3. We had to call for fresh towels, and actually go to pick up soap and shampoo. 4. Hair dryer in one of the bathrooms was broken which was quite inconvenient. Things we liked - buffet breakfast for ~$10 a person, the marina, convenient elevators, walk along the beach area, the dishwasher, beach towels provided in rooms. read more

If you're looking for a hotel it's a great place. If you're bringing a boat and want to deal with the most worthless dock master there is, also a great place. I am quite surprised how many negative reviews exist for this place but it does seem the hotel is doing some renovation works. I can spot modification and re-decoration in my room, which is in the Marine building, but I am more than satisfied with this place. The room is huge and equipped with all the things you need after a muddy and messy beach day. The shower works well and everything looks clean. The pool is still under construction but who need a pool at key largo? There are tons of other sea stuff to do and we have been kept busy all day with all the water sports. The private beach is nice and you are welcome with two towels in the room that you can take to the beach. Our room has a balcony facing the sea and it looks gorgeous in the morning. We got our room through priceline special deal and I would suggest you try the same. The price we paid is much lower. Though they ask you to pay for wifi, you can easily connect to a guest wifi account for free. One thing negative about this hotel is that I did not get to see any water sports agency on site. Hilton nearby has carribean watersports company, so you can easily go on a boat tour if you stay there. Overall this place is definitely lovely and satisfying. read more

We stayed here last week and were satisfied with it. We were in a deluxe 2 bedroom/ 2 bath that was current in decor. The kitchen had what we needed. The newly remodeled pool was nice and the DJ was a nice touch. The beach is not anything great but not sure how it compares to others, this was my first time in the keys. At check in the staff was friendly. We were a bit underwhelmed with the bar. We were hoping for something a little more fun to hang out at. Parking was convenient and we didn't have trouble finding a spot. I never ate at the cafe so I cannot comment on that. Every employee I encountered said hello and was friendly. We stayed in a 2bedroom ocean view suite over the weekend. It came with a full kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a king and a queen bed. Everything was great - the employees were all outgoing, friendly, and helpful. The ONLY complaint we had was the size of the balcony. There were four of us and only enough room for two small chairs - it was uncomfortable for everyone to be outside at the same time. We definitely plan on coming back! read more

I'll change my review after my stay but for now two stars is what it gets all because of the woman with the bleached hair who is the gate keeper to this condo. She is by far the rudest person I have ever encountered. She must be very proud and enjoy the feeling of being superior. You literally push a button to let guests in past a plastic gate, who are paying good money to go on a vacation, you're not guarding the pentagon. Simmer down. I highly advise the supervisor or manager in charge of her babe a conversation with her. There is never any reason to be rude, short, sassy, or make hand gestures like a child when someone is just trying to check in for a vacation. read more

My wife and I went with a couple of our friends this past weekend . We arrived to the property around 10:30a to see about getting a parking pass for one of the cars since we were driving all the way down to Key West. We were greeted by Shinae in the front desk who was not only a pleasure to speak with but was also willing to help getting us the parking passes. Shinae also went above and beyond by offering us a room hours before check in time which is at 4p. The room was one of the two bedroom suites. The room was clean, spacious and full of amenities. With a great view of the mangroves and ocean. The only negative thing i can say is the balcony was rather small. The property is clean and well kept. They have a nice beach, pier with gazebo and a area with BBQs. If you have a boat they have plenty of trailer parking and a small marina as well. We enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to return. read more

At first blush I was impressed with the room we had in building 4, 3rd. floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The problems we noticed while there was first, the King size bed was in terrible condition and could be described as sleeping on a U shaped mattress. Also, the door lock to the balcony did not work which was a safety hazard when we had small children. The door lock to the bathroom did not work either. They do not service the room in any way unless requested. TV, Kitchen, Coffee Maker, Frig all worked fine. Winged back chair was very uncomfortable. Sofa was good. Considering it was spring break, I think the cost is reasonable. I did notify management of these issues. I would probably stay again but would hope they fix these sorts of issues with the room we were in. They have luggage carriers which was nice getting our luggage from the car to room up the elevator. We did not use the pool, but the beach was nice albeit very postage stamp small, and upstairs registration and bar looked nice. You could pay much more and do far worse than the Ocean Pointe Suites. Look for dozens of cats coming out on the ocean side of the building! Some folks were feeding them....kids have fun coming up with names for them. read more

I realize these are privately owned condos, but the management company drops the ball when it comes to oversite. Had to sit down and make a list upon occupation of room to note damages and avoid any issues upon check out. Issues that the front desk had "No idea"?? Their " beautiful pool" when we arrived wad under renovation? That would've been nice too know ahead of time. The room (5304) was disturbing. A gallon of used paint set on top of the gas water heater (unsafe) Several maintenance issues of broken items (toilet paper holder, patio blinds etc....) The most troubling was the stained couch that included part of the carpet....disturbing and I hope it isn't bodily fluid. read more

Can't blame Covid as these units are individually owned there's no excuse for blinds that are half missing and visible dirt in the lobby.
