I used to have high anxiety at every visit in the past with other dental services. When I started going to Atlantic Dental I needed lots of work. I expressed my fears to Dr. Paz, Dr. Tamir and hygienist Lourdes and they all helped me through my fear with gentle service and explaining every detail of what to expect. My fear of the unknown vanished! I had my molar removed, root canals, crowns, smoothed out a chipped tooth, and cleaning. I even feared deep root cleaning that included shots! Lourdes, the hygienist, was very gentle and educated me to the importance of keeping gums healthy. She encouraged me to use a water pick and recommended special toothpaste for gum restoration. Atlantic is currently listed as the HMO provider on my wife's HMO plan. I called and made an appointment and provided the insurance card information. They recorded it on their computer. When I arrived they told me they do not accept HMO anymore. That would be something importantto tell a new person before you set an appointment with them and they take the time to come in. read more

I saw Dentist Aaron Paz who showed a lot of concern and compassion for my predicament. He treated me right away and took care of my problem. I have been going to Dr. Paz since he had an office on Painter. During my first marriage my entire family went to Atlantic Dental and we received excellent care. I could not speak more highly about my experience at Atlantic Dental! After what was a very long period of time since my last dental visit due to a phobia of dental work I finally came in made my first appointment back in February. Dreading the experience and afraid of what the dentist would find I was completely caught off guard when the hygienist Lourdes made my initial experience more pleasant than I could have ever hoped for. She could tell I was nervous and found every way to make the experience for me calm and relaxing. Putting on soothing music which for me made a world of difference. She also has an amazing skill with giving numbing shots. You will never feel it and it blew me away. We came up with a plan and the entire team has been absolutely incredible. DR. Tamir has made every procedure and experience a pleasant one and extremely efficient! Every procedure has been quick and painless. Every member of the team has come through from the assistants at the front desk who have worked with me and my insurance to make sure I am taken care of to the assistants on my procedures like Chris who have also set a calm tone every time I come in. For anyone who has a dental phobia this is the place for you! They have changed my smile and I also recommended the place to my partner who has come and they have done incredible work!! So I've been with this office for a little over a year now. I had a different ortho for two years before I came here. The other ortho was super unprofessional and I finally decided to switch. I had an impacted front tooth and was stuck with the baby tooth for a very long time until I came to Atlantic Dental Group. After some research on offices that do dental implants, I came across Atlantic Dental Group and asked them if they were able to take me in even though I had braces from a different office and they were very welcoming. They got me out of braces within a year and hooked me up with a fake tooth while I had braces on so that I could smile confidently. I talked to Dr. Paz about my options after braces to replace the missing tooth (I had the impacted tooth and baby tooth extracted before I got the fake tooth). Dr. Paz was honest with me and let me know from my x-rays that I did not have enough bone for an implant and would have to go through bone grafting and he suggested a dental bridge. He told me he would make more money if I got an implant, but it would not be the best option for me. Fast forward to today, I currently have a temporary bridge in and am going back in two weeks to get the permanent, porcelain bridge placed. Dr. Tamir is doing the work on my bridge. I will definitely update my review depending on how my teeth look after everything is done. The three unit bridge is costing me $3085 if anyone was wondering. So far, I am very happy with the customer service provided to me by both the doctors and the front desk receptionists. I hope my smile will finally be perfect in a couple weeks because I have gone through 3+ years of dental work to try and achieve a confident smile Update: My smile is amazing now! read more

Atlantic Dental Group are the best dentists I have ever had. I have easily gone through three dentists before this and I can tell you none have been anywhere near as good as dentists and hygienists here. Last year, I had to get three of my wisdom teeth removed and I was quite scared and concerned over the procedure. Like everyone, I heard all the horror stories about this type of procedure how much it hurt etc., but when the date of my procedure came Dr. Tamir walked me through it and assured me that everything would go smoothly. Because I was going to drive home after the procedure they only numbed the area, but didn't put me under. Once the area was numb Dr. Tamir went to work and I kid you not was literally done in what seemed like two mins! the procedure itself did not hurt whatsoever and as I mentioned was super quick. I even jokingly told Dr. Tamir "that was it?" I went for a follow up and Dr. Tamir was very thorough as in what I can and can not eat and what to expect. Do yourself a favor and get this procedure done with these amazing folks you will not regret it, prior to the procedure they told me that had I not gotten one of my wisdom teeth removed I would lose the tooth next to it. You don't want to lose a tooth because you prolonged a simple procedure, take it from me I am the biggest quack when it comes to pain, but felt nothing at all. The procedure was also absolutely affordable which was a god send because I didn't know what to expect cost wise. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Atlantic Dental Group, the dentists, hygienists and the front desk staff are all very courageous, friendly and will put you at ease. When I go for my teeth cleaning I'm always super relaxed.
