I was a little skeptical about coming here for my wisdom tooth removal because of some of the Yelp reviews. I even looked into other offices, but ultimately decided to come here, and I'm glad I did. The parking lot is small and located directly behind the office, but I had no trouble finding it. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly. I'm generally very nervous about dental visits, and the thought of having my wisdom tooth removed had me emotional after receiving the numbing injections. One of the staff members kindly offered me a tissue and shared some tips to help me relax, which I truly appreciated. The doctor thoroughly explained the procedure and reviewed my X-rays with me beforehand. After the numbing shots, I was amazed at how quickly the tooth was removed I didn't feel a thing! He had already told me what noises and sensations to expect, including a little pressure and tugging, which helped ease my anxiety. I was so relieved when it was over. The doctor and his assistant were both kind and professional. The assistant carefully reviewed all of the post-op instructions with me and also provided written instructions to take home. Came to this place for a new visit since its close to my home. First of all this people in front desk they dont greet you and they dont even knowledge you at all. You just come in and sign,have a seat and they call your name. When you go inside they do xray and watever you want your visit to be. But none of the staff is friendly or have a smile on their face. Its been awhile since I have been to a dentist but. It is so different from years ago. But, if you let them know to have more care or be gentle on your teeth and they will. The girl I had just did alittle bit cleaning she was nice and she explain whatever question I have. Overall of course everyone has different opinion when it come to your hygiene. I've never felt like I needed to make a yelp account until now. TLDR; Horrible structure and management that could cost you recovery time and botched wisdom teeth removal process. As well as money. They will make CRUCIAL mistakes and still charge you. First thing to consider. THIS PLACE DOES NOT PUT YOU UNDER. NOR DOES INSURANCE COVER BONE GRAFT OR MEDICINE THAT'S GIVEN. Those are out of pocket. Second, they told me and I wrote down the wrong date so scheduling was a mess after that. It took a while to get it sorted out. Only then I got my wisdom teeth removed. Which went fine if a little rough. Third, and most important, medicine for a successful recovery process is arguably the most high risk aspect. They COMPLETELY FORGOT to process the medicine request after asking me where to pick it up from. I only got them because I had to call and remind them DAYS LATER when they were open again. The amount of medicine I realized I could've had an easier time with the pain that set in post-surgery. They still charged me. I could've and should've sued considering I signed a contract specifying that I would be given instructions and medicine regarding how to handle the recovery process. Only now I realize I could've avoided the excruciating pain of my wisdom teeth recovery process and money costs entirely. If you can, please look somewhere else. read more

The only part that took long was for the numbing to set in but after the dr took my teeth out within like 8 minutes. UPDATE: main doctor said this was the only dental office that accepts medi-cal for teeth infection. So I feel I had no choice but to come back again. Came in and they did my x-Ray scan again for some reason (I'm guessing so they can make money off those) when they already had pics of them. Which was in the span of 2 months. I had to wait 1 hour and 40 minute. Doc came in, looked at x ray scans and informed me that there's nothing they can do and proceed to give me alternatives which cost 9,000 bucks (excluding tax) for one tooth on an implant. Definitely on the very high end! Just for the record, you also need to pay out of pocket $100 for their own "medicine" an extra fee when medi-cal covers for their own pain meds. This establishment wastes your time, they're only in it for the money, and will find ways to make money and cares nothing about you. For anyone experiencing what I'm going through, I recommend researching endodontists in your area, they're more experienced in treating tooth infections, and some accepts medi-cal. Or go to Mexico and get implants done for under 2,000 and crowns less than 500. had to do my own due diligences because these doctors only in it for the money and will not recommend you to any places that doesn't benefit them. read more

Today 8/28/25 My mom Evangelina De La Cruz had two extractions. My mom was extremely nervous and anxious about the appt. because she went through a bad experience at another dental place. It was extremely painful and because of this incident she is scared. As I am typing this review at 2:13pm, her appt. was @ 1:00pm l, she texted me around 1:20pm and said everything went great. It was fast. The Dentist was very professional and gentle. The assistant too. Very kind! When the dentist applied the local anesthesia my mom said he was very careful making sure she was ok and during the extractions as well. She highly recommends Atlas Dental Care. Rough, uncaring staff. Ignored pain signals. Worst dental experience I've ever had. I had a terrible experience at this dental clinic yesterday june 27 and would never recommend it to anyone. I went in to have my top wisdom teeth removed while still healing from the bottom ones, and the staff showed no care or concern for that. They were incredibly rough, shoving tools into my mouth even though I had stitches and swollen gums. The doctor was extremely heavy-handed, pulling hard on my face with no regard for my pain. I raised my hand to signal that I was in distress -- crying during the procedure -- but they completely ignored it. When it was finally over, I was told no prescription pain medication would be provided, just over-the-counter suggestions. One of the nurses even mocked my pain by asking, "Why are you crying, did it hurt?" When I said yes, she asked, "Why didn't you raise your hand?" I told her I did, and she just said, "Oh, sorry I didn't see." No apology, no concern, just sent me on my way. From the front desk to the nurses to the dentist -- this place is unprofessional, uncaring, and completely lacking in basic empathy. Avoid this clinic at all costs. read more

Atlas Dental was 10/10, prior to going to them I was absolutely screwed over by a Western Dental who butchered my insurance billing and made it so I had to go for 2 months without the root canal I needed. Coming to Atlas dental I was quoted over the phone for $200 for my root canal, by the time I walked out of my consultation, I was literally given the root canal on the spot for $50. I had such a great experience here with my root canal, Laura was great at keeping me calm and reassuring me that everything will be okay (I was nervous). Dr. (I forgot to ask for his name) was amazing! He was quick with the root canal and had such a gentle hand with the anesthesia. Normally I have such a hard time getting numb and he had no problem. He's a bit stern but when you're nervous you need that logic to kick in so I didn't mind him being straight forward. He was polite and made me feel comfortable. Thank you so much guys! read more

I let them know that I was scared,and experiencing an anxiety attack due to that. They went above and beyond calming me and making sure I was ok throughout my extraction. Dr.Kim was amazing! My experience at Atlas Dental Care is different from what other patients that have went here have experienced. At first I was nervous about my wisdom teeth extraction but the office staff made sure that everything is right before extraction. The office experience itself was feeling like you're reassured at home. When I was nervous at consultation the nurse reassured me just like the lady who gave me water did. Teeth extraction was quick it was like 30 minutes to an hour with no pain just local anesthetic. I would seriously recommend this place for anyone who wants to get their wisdom teeth extracted. But they do not only do wisdom teeth extraction but a whole other range of services catered to your concerns and needs. The front desk seems unprofessional. No one greets and you could be standing there for a help with no other patients waiting and four workers but no one to assist you. They look at you and act as you are invisible. It's like there's a wall between them and the patients. I've been coming here for almost a year now, and everyone has been so great! I've gotten deep cleaning, extraction, root canal, and crown, and each procedure has been a good experience for me! It's not easy finding a dentist or dental office that you like so I'm glad I found this one, everyone is always so nice and I love how they explain everything and let you know what they're doing. Dr.Kim is really nice, and communicates well, he always asks if you're okay during a procedure, and always let you know the timeline and if it's almost done which really helps ease my anxiety. I recently just came in for a crown and everything was done in a timely manner! I believe Alexis was the dental assistant I was with, she was really sweet and helped rinse my teeth. They over book their days and are very rude to their patients. They are very disorganized and clearly have extremely wait times. Just for a consult takes about a 2 hours of wait. Lots of their equipment is very dirty and they do NOT use protective equipment to prevent cross contamination I noticed they have a new shiny X-ray machine which I believe why they try to persuade patients they need extra care when in reality they are in debt from the new unnecessary machine. Based on poor staffing and lack of quality!!!! This place is a fucking dump I hope they shut down! read more

Terrible experience we waited over 2 and a half hours for a consult for an Implant. No one was friendly nor helpful. We left with no answers the Dr came in two minutes and said might have bone might not so what did we come to you for. Felt unwelcome there and there manager or whoever she was when I told her we been here too long what system of implants do you work with didn't know so you have all the systems. I found ATLAS DENTAL in a search for a provider to do a root canal on my 14 yr old. I was scheduled quickly and office staff was nice. After treatment, we've had issues with insurance (no fault of ATLAS) and in turn had to get more then two fillings to keep the root Canal procedure protected while insurance cleared the cap approval, I'm giving 3 stars because the follow up for insurance, and for returning calls has been subpar. At this point I've been helped and will go a third time to clarify the issue. Will update at said time. UPDATE: The procedure was redone, quickly and it seems all is well, we are waiting for insurance to approve. Will post final update at time of crown placement read more

The facility is nice and clean, the dental assistant took forever to do my X-rays. The dentist is so rushed when he did my cleaning he didn't even do a thorough cleaning he was so rough. I decided to go to Serenity dental near by instead. I don't think I would recommend to people with medical. Worth doing research on the place you go to. read more

Everyone in the office was incredible. From the receptionist to the to the very nice young lady making my next appointment. On 03/05/2025, I was referred to this office for some extractions, so my original appointment was 05/01/2025 but was told to call Friday to see if I there may be an earlier appointment. I was lucky enough to get an appointment Monday at 7:45am. Arrived early and the young girl up front very friendly. When I was taken back the amazing young lady who took my x-rays was outstanding so friendly. Dental offices are not my favorite place but she made me feel at ease. I felt extremely uncomfortable for my first visit here. I came in for a consultation at 12:40AM. At 1:10 they took a panoramic x-ray. I was made to sit in chair and no one came to check in on me until about 2:20.PM Almost 2 hours after check in. I felt so grossed out at how dirty everything was. Tissues on the floor, stains all over the walls and gunk on the dental tools. I noticed that the camera they use to take dental photos was placed in a pretty unhygienic dusty metal rack on the wall. I wanted to take more photos but didn't want any issues with the staff. I have had a wisdom tooth extraction before which was considered high risk because my tooth sat so close to the nerve which controls all jaw sensation. Now I need another one that is also considered high risk and this Dr Kim is strongly recommending that I get a bone graft after the extraction. I have enough knowledge to know that a bone graft is not required from experience and the opinion of my colleagues who work in dentistry. This office is in a low income Hispanic neighborhood that has a large amount of Medical patients. I feel that because of these factors they do not care enough to provide a clean space for us or to be transparent about their intent. I have read many other reviews about this place and so many are bad. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because some of the staff was nice. That is kind of their only redeeming quality. But it doesn't excuse the lack of cleanliness or vagueness about which dental procedures are optional and which are not. I just got such a bad feeling as soon as I walked in and the other bad reviews confirm my suspicion. I would look elsewhere. I will be looking at alternatives in Orange County where the demographics are not low income. Higher income neighborhoods cannot afford to slack off in cleanliness when their demographics have money and can sue them. The low income serving dentists are not as diligent because they know that most of us cannot retaliate for malpractice or other issues and they know it. read more

All I can say is that this place is a total FRAUD!!! They'll threat you to pay for the bone graft which you wouldn't need and let you wait for 1-2 hours for the appointment,. Front desk is extremely unprofessional and rude, her name I forgot, they refuse to take my call, and put me on hold forever. Finally I decided not to take my wisdom teeth out here, and it took them forever to delete my insurance authorization, because they don't want me to get it done else where, I was in pain and suffered for 2 months and finally got my insurance company called them and solved the matter, I wish I could give -1 star or file a law suit against them, they are not doctors they are killers read more

Most everyone is scared of the Dentist and I am no exception! I was reffered to Atlas Dental and I didn't know what to expect after my initial exam Miss Andrea I want to say quite literally took me by the hand a explained every process to me and assured me I was in excellent hands and she was right! Dr. Kim explained what he was going to do and asked me what my fears were and I told him. He took the time to explain again (lol) the process. Once I was numbed up! I felt no pain! Whew! Miss Andrea kept on checking on me to make sure I was good! What great customer service and just plain old fashion CARING!! She even educated me on what questions to ask my insurance company because I didn't know what was covered. I appreciated that very much! I felt like she had my back. The front desk is very friendly and welcoming. I trusted Atlas so much I managed then to have Dr. Kim do my root canal as well as my extraction for a dental implant. All the fear and anxiousness was in my head! Lol I'm grateful I'm having a good experience because it makes me want to be more proactive and take care of my teeth! I would not recommend this location. My appointment was at 12PM I wasn't sent to a room until 1:45 PM. The orthodontist didn't come see me until 2:05 PM. He only spoke to me briefly no longer than a 15 second conversation. While waiting the receptionist told someone the ortho was running late on appointments. However, they should have contacted people letting them know that they are a little behind. I had already waited 30 minutes and thought it wouldn't be much longer. That was the mistake on my part, I would have cancelled/ rescheduled if I was told in advance that they were running this late. I understand that it can be busy but they should be considerate of peoples schedules. As patients we are considerate to make our appointment time and that respect should be reciprocated. My overall experience was horrible and a waste of my time. read more

Save yourself a headache and painful procedures. I hated being there. The floors and bathrooms are dirty. Understaffed which causes miscommunication between the employees at the Dental office. They scare you into purchasing different medications because Medi-cal medications aren't as effective as the ones that they are offering. Also they forget to send in paperwork to your insurance company because again miscommunication and being understaffed. At least their honest about why things don't get done. I sent in paperwork sedation on the 14th of July and they didn't send in the paperwork to authorize my claim till the 27th of July because they had forgot all about it the only reason I got my referral in is because I was calling the dental office constantly The Dentist did not spend anytime speaking to me about my dental care and spoke to Medical Assistants to ask them why was I was screaming during my root canal I was screamed because of the pain. They kept saying it was sensitivity but I know the difference. It was pain I cried my eyes out because they stuck a needle into my nerve. I felt that no one bothered to give me an explanation or discuss different options they all just left me there on my chair waiting for me to get up leave. I believe the Dr. that runs the place talks to you like your stupid are at least that's what I felt since he was talking about me like I was not even present. He tried to convince that this time it wasn't going to hurt how am I going to trust you if you can't even submit proper documentation to the insurance company. Let alone trust you to do any type of procedure.I am now dealing with an infection that its affecting my breathing because of pus that is infiltrated in my gums and I am so exhausted of having back and forth with this dental office.
