They first encapsulated all areas with plastic sheeting to prevent debris from getting into the rest of our home. They then suited up and got right to work efficiently and thoroughly. After the job was completed Carlos's crew removed all debris and even cleaned our porch to keep the wind from re-depositing the dirt. We had been having a rat issue in our attic for close to a year and finally decided that our traps and the random dead rat wasn't working. We needed to find the entrance and get it closed up. I called 3 different companies and decided that eric seemed the most knowledgeable and sincere of the 3 and the price, although not cheap, was in the ball park of the others. The 5 year warranty was a huge selling point and looking at reviews it seems like they honor it. We had Abraham and pedro finish up taking out the insulation, rat proofing, disinfecting. They were polite and hardworking. Pedro showed me pictures of the finished attic and it looked great. He put in a few traps to catch any remaining rats. He said that they could come back and check the traps which they did. My wife and I went up in the attic later that night to check out the work. It looked good, as the pictures had shown. We added a few more traps as I could still hear some activity. By the next 3 days we had caught 5 rats in the traps. For the last few days I have not heard any activity so we are hoping that they were able to find all the openings and have closed them all. I will call now for them to put in the new installation. I called Attic Bros late April to get to the bottom of a leaking situation in my roof following a hard rain. I had met with another attic appraiser who shall remain nameless. Upon first glance, I thought id be given the runaround and be sent off to another roofing agent to would then tell me the issue was with my insulation, as i had previously assessed. Attic Bros sent over the young professional Joseph to take a look at ground zero. Within an hour, he sussed out the cause of the holy situation in my attic was attributed to a set/family of squirrels that were actually finding some housing in my materials. I had always suspected such, but never had and inkling as the three other companies i had called simply defered me to roofers. Joseph crawled into the attic which showed no signs of droppings or infestation and was quickly able to spot the entry and exit ways for the little dudes, and provided handy work to seal them the same day within a 2 hour window. Probably the most detailed out of 8+ quotes. +1 for suggesting doing the job correct the first time around. +1 for reputation in the marketplace. When I brought them up to the other players, they had good feedback on attic bros. Attic Bros solved a number of my attic needs quickly and at high quality! My old ductwork was damaged and had asbestos I also wanted to install central air-conditioning. Nir from Attic Bros came to do an inspection and give an estimate. They accommodated my tight timelines since I wanted everything fixed before my family was visiting. They took care of the company that did asbestos removal and AC installation. Day 1: Asbestos removal company came right on time and finished before schedule Day 2: Team 1 came to replace all the duct work and team 2 added the AC condenser and coils and did all the electrical. They also installed the Nest thermostat. Initially they estimated 2-3 days but finished in 2 days! (the quotes were comparable to others but their timelines were better) The guys also installed the Nest thermostat (which I had purchased separately) and did all the setup for me. We had received new roofs at our Condo complex. Knowing what a mess it created in our garage I felt the attic needed to be cleaned. It had not been cleaned since 1974 when we bought it new. Carlos and crew arrived on time, completely covered the traffic area, removed the old loose insulation & other debris. They then sealed any leaks around pipes and soffit air vents. Next they sanitized the attic before installing new Batts insulation. They came on time, were friendly, efficiently did their tasks and cleaned up afterwards. Ori came to give us the initial walk through and estimate and he was just wonderful. We felt the estimate was very reasonable. Our attic had not had its insulation changed since the 80s. It was pretty disgusting I wish I could share photos but the amazing before and after photos on their website give a good idea of what our attic looked like. It was so dirty I felt UGH just looking at these photos. Thankfully it wasnt that way for long. Vic and his team came out and all we had to do was relax in the main room for about five hours They took care of everything including plugging all holes with wire and were such a pleasure to work with. Contacted them through Yelp message for an onsite quote to remove old blown in insulation, seal any air gaps, rodent-proofing and installation of new batt insulation. They asked for my contact info to make an appointment which I provided and then didn't get any responses for 2 days afterwards. I followed up with another message about scheduling and they told me Monday between 2-4pm. Thank you to Michael for coming out today to give an estimate for adding a heating duct to a bathroom that we will remodel early next year. He was extremely knowledgeable and took a dozen photos of the situation which showed there is an existing duct that was tiled over by the previous owner! So, we won't need to proceed with the work. Wanted to get our attic redone and rat proofed since we found some droppings in the attic recently. We got a couple other quotes from other companies, but we actually liked the consultant that came out, Daniel, a lot. He went straight for our crawlspace and did a very thorough sweep. I have used attic bros in the past so I called eric the owner and asked him for help. Attic bros could not be more diffrent. They came for s true thorough free inspection then gave me options. I have an update. I have increased my rating because once I posted my review here after unsuccessfully trying to resolve this for months, this business finally resolved both problems. The two employees who Eric sent, David (to finish the cleanup) and Jesse (to fix the damaged ceiling) were pleasant, professional and did a great job fixing the two items. Then at first I got daily calls/texts asking me when I was going to change my review, until I asked for it to stop. Today, the owner (same fellow) called me from a different business number (San Jose Heating & Cooling), and asked that I remove my review, which I don't think is an appropriate request and which I am not willing to do. I am very grateful that this was resolved, but it did not un-happen. The employees were great, but I have found the experience with the owner increasingly difficult. read more

This is my second review of Attic Bros. And who does that?? Only someone who is consistently impressed with the service provided by a company. And, I just have to sing their praises again! You see, I live on a hill, and rodents are a constant battle. They can't be eradicated, they just have to be managed, and Attic Bros does that with a smile! The awesome job they initially did in our attic came with a warrantee, and so, every few months (or even more often) they come and check their traps and the holes they've filled, to make sure its all holding up. I called Attic Bros because I had a rat nest in one of the ducts under the house (which seemed to fall within their service range). But to get that taken care of, I would have had to pay for a bunch of services that I did not want or need. And yet without even going under the house to evaluate the situation, the estimator somehow came up with a $390 charge to replace the duct. He didn't even know which duct was the problem, or whether it was just one. He insisted that the attic must also be treated (even though I am positive there are no issues there). And they required that the crawl space and attic be disinfected (for $650!). What a bunch of hooey. All together, they wanted $1875 to replace a duct and close up 3 places rats could get in the vents. That's a rip off. They may well do good work, particularly for insulation. But their sales practices leave A LOT to be desired. There was a lot of specious talk and the hard sell. A very unpleasant experience. They were very professional, explaining to me and my husband what they were going to do and breaking down the cost for clarity. The logistics for them to come over to give an estimate and then later to do the job was very smooth. They finished everything within a day. They cleaned out everything that they could in the attic (which had been left with a lot of junk from the previous owners).
