(Edit 8/19: The owner called me and was very apologetic, looking to make things right, and since I already took care of the nail pops, offered to take care of the followup repainting of the ceiling once we're ready. This certainly suggests that my experience was not typical. If you hire them and have an older house with 2x4 ceiling joists, then I would recommend asking them about this kind of outcome before they send out the crew, to ensure that my story is not repeated. I think they genuinely want to do good quality work.) We hired Attic Bros to do an insulation removal in advance of some electrical work, and then install insulation and radiant barrier once that work was complete. The guys who do the work were great - to do that kind of work in the summertime with that kind of enthusiasm takes a special kind of person. That said, the full experience wasn't really positive: Removal: Despite making it very clear that we were clearing the attic for electrical work, they dispatched the full team that day and were surprisingly argumentative about wanting to do the install at the same time because they brought all the people and materials. Installation: On the original visit, the job manager said he would request that the installation be spread over two days with a smaller crew, because the attic was so cramped and the ceiling joists so small (2x4) that they shouldn't put a large crew up there all at once. We made the same request when we scheduled the work. They were ultimately unwilling to do this - sure enough, sending everyone up at the same time was too much weight, and caused nail pops in the ceilings of every room in the house. They were initially very accommodating - in the morning they were saying they would call me later that day to schedule someone to come fix it over the next couple days. After a couple days of not being able to get an answer I just fixed it myself. Much of the reason why I fixed it myself was that the more I looked, the more problems I found with attention to detail. A staple through a garage door wire. Radiant barrier placed over intake or exhaust vents. Attic hatch covered in dirty hand prints. And there were issues I had to point out mid-install, like a batt compressed too tightly or radiant barrier stapled to the underside of the roof decking with no air gap (both of which were readily fixed - like I said, the crew was great, just rushed) All that said, it looks like they did an excellent job cleaning the attic, and a solid job installing the fiberglass batts in the attic. I think the workers did their best to try to deliver what I wanted within the time and equipment limits their management placed on them. read more

Michael was extremely thorough with his investigation and evaluation, the recommendation for what work needed doing and the quote for it was reasonable. Vic, Maurico and Humberto were wonderful! They had a huge task ahead of them with the crawl space being in absolute horrific conditions. I just purchased this home that had been a rental for 30 years and not maintained. There was a serious rodent issue under the home with the insulation torn to shreds as well as deceased animals underneath. They came in with professional and courteous attitudes and knocked it out. They also cleaned and insulated the attic, sealing up every potential opening. Vic explained every step in the process showing me progress photos along the way. They came to take a look at my attic for a cleanup estimate due to a a past rat problem. The experience has been great overall and their level of professionalism is extremely high. After a thorough inspection, they actually recommended not to have any service from them given it would be a small do it yourself job. He showed me pictures of areas to tend to and discussed how to do the cleanup. I felt they have a very true focus on customer happiness and being highly ethical. Used Attic Bros on the recommendation of a friend when we had a rat infestation problem. They were clear and responsive for the consultation and came for the first visit. During the follow-up visit, they forgot the date scheduled and then canceled due to COVID-19, despite the fact that the business is essential and allowed to continue. After being told that the office would be closed until May and that we would be contacted then for our follow-up, that date has come and gone. Not only do we still have a rat issue, we had to hire another company (Clark) to abate the rats at an additional cost, since Attic Bros didn't fulfill their contract and couldn't get the job done. The Clark technician noted that they Attic Bros had only a few few traps placed under the house for the square footage and that they weren't placed in locations that would likely catch the rats. It seemed like a very cursory service for the dollars paid and their inability to deliver on the contract is extremely disappointing. Would NOT recommend. read more

When they came for an assessment, they were timely and thorough, including showing pictures taken throughout the attic, as well as the crawl space. This gave me an excellent understanding of the situation. On the spot, they were able to provide an estimate, as well as offer discounts, to decide how to address openings and critters that we had, as well as consider replacing the insulation. We scheduled for the removal and replacement of insulation (much better quality insulation), as well as sanitizing the entire space - the team was professional and cautious with the house, everything was sealed, and when neighbors had a challenge with noise, the team addressed immediately and used a different strategy to complete the work. My experience with Attic Bros. has been fabulous! My original call to them was because of hearing critters in my attic above my room in the middle of the night. Having never dealt with anything critter or attic related I was a total newbie to all of this. I actually did not realize Attic Bros was an insulation company and not an exterminator, I had just seen all the excellent reviews on Yelp and gave them a call. The free estimate was great Michael came out and was very professional, informative and honest. He said my insulation was really in terrible shape, basically just crumbles of past insulation. He explained to me how they would do A-Z in sealing all entrances areas, sanitize, new insulation, and set traps etc. I figured after unknowingly being in a basically uninsulated house for 15 years, I would invest in the long term health of my home. We set a date for the insulation but they called and said an earlier date had opened up so I was able to get it all done faster which was a blessing because the critters were partying in my attic at 3am. The insulation day was very smooth. Sergio and Vic and their team were absolutely fantastic, fast, professional, considerate, and addressed all my questions. They went above and beyond my expectations. About 3-4 days after the work was done and traps were set, I started smelling something that smelled like really stinky feet and it kept getting worse to the point it was coming through the air vents. Sergio and his assistant came out right away and found a large rat in a trap. This saved my Memorial weekend from being miserable from the smell! The only thing I questioned was that the insulation used was not the brand and type that what was quoted. Owens Corning was used. But it was explained by the office that it was equivalent quality. I do recommend Attic Bros and I would use them again for future needs. read more

We had a major rat infestation here in a duplex I rent and our property manager called this company in to remove and replace the insulation in attic, clean the rodents mess and block all entrances from the outside to prevent rats from entering. First they came in and cleaned and removed any and ALL garbage in attic and crawl space then they disinfect and then blocked all possible access points and lastly install new insulation. They even left 6 rat traps for the just in case moment. Vic was the supervisor and he had 2 awesome techs here assisting him. He explained what/how and most importantly the why. Answered my questions and concerns professionally. Even though I'm just a renter he took the time to listen and understand. Meant a lot. These guys are so detailed that when in crawl space they even removed a flattened box and anything and everything else that didn't belong there. A week later and no signs of rats or hearing them run in attic....NOTHING. so relieved and not jumping at the slightest noise or afraid to open a cabinet in the kitchen. Very punctual. They came and did a complete quote with photos and recommended services. The turnaround to get an appointment was quick. A crew of 5 showed up and the first thing they did was create a worker tunnel. They carefully laid out plastics to protect the wall and block off the living room so any of the dirt and dust did not go all over the place. Once they were done, they cleaned up and showed me the after photos from the same perspective of the before photos so it was easy to compare. They also pointed out some additional findings along the way. If I had one area of improvement would be to vacuum the areas around the worker tunnel. I did find a few scraps but to be fair, it was a super nitpick. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

I called and scheduled a free estimate that same week as I was in the search for not only pest/rodent control but duct cleaning, as well. Great one stop shop! I'm completely satisfied with the experience with Attic Bros. We heard loud noise from attic and called Attic Bros. Eric came within hours on new year's eve. He inspected the attic and provided detailed plans for rodent proof. Carroll came on the day of work as scheduled. It was a rainy day, unfortunately. However Carrolldid great work running around the house finishing the rodent-proof, fast and professional. He sealed all possible rodent entrances and installed traps. During the entire process, Carroll was nice, polite, and walked me through the work very patiently. Update 04/20/2019: My attic turns out to be a trickier one. The rodents came back and bite through the roof. With several rounds of investigation, Carroll found out the root cause from a tiny gap from subroof and sealed it. We used Attic Bros back in August for our roof rodent infestations. Spencer helped us with our initial consultation and he was great. Attic bros ended up removing and installing our entire roof and insulation. David and his team were responsive to our emails/calls and provided detailed answers to our questions to ensure we understand the process. They made sure to check in with us as well which we greatly appreciate. Despite Covid, they followed protocols and made us feel safe. After the roof installation, they came out a couple times per our request because we heard noises in our roof. Each time they came out, they did a thorough job and answered our questions. I had attic rats, which I inherited from the previous house owner. Have been trying to fight them myself for about a year - total failure, could not catch a single one. Still, there were scratching sounds and droppings. Turned out you are supposed to close all the entry points first :-( Free visit to give you an estimate, other companies charge $275 just to come over and set traps, see above about setting traps without closing holes. We engaged with Attic Bros about 2 years back to get rid of mice in the attic. While the staff has been generally very nice, the mice kept coming back, and we felt we were dismissed when we asked for extra help... It took quite a few visits before Vic came for the first time, and he really was thorough in checking for entry points. He found a few potential entry points in the crawl space that no one had checked before. Also, he was the first one that finally came inside the house to check different spots - and patch them - where the mice could have come inside the living area. If not for Vic, this review would have been 2 star max, because we were getting very frustrated that we would have to call Attic Bros every 3 months. I am very pleased with Attic Bros. First, Eilon came on time, he was very nice and considerate. He inspected the Attic and he gave me his recommendations and quote on paper right away. He later followed up with the official quote by email. The purpose was cleaning and improving the insulation. I couldn't do all the recommendations, so we went back and forth a few times and Eilon was very accommodating and understanding all the way until we settled on the final work. The final work was to clean the attic, replace the insulation, and install a new one. The attic was a mess, apparently from over the years repairs and improvements by previous owners (new lights, wiring, etc) were done up there and no one bothered to pick up after themselves (sawdust, debris, old fixtures, energy drinks...). On the service day, the project manager Yishai was equally nice. Very accommodating and he really cared about the work to be performed properly and to my satisfaction. Even after I asked them to do certain things, he kept asking to make sure there was nothing else I needed about the attic work. He even offered to help me find someone for other repairs and improvements I need to do. He put me in contact with Eric from Attic Bros and he is going to help me with my other needs. Yishai and his crew did an excellent job and it was a pleasure to deal with. The attic is now clean, tidy, and I can already feel the effects of the better insulation. We had been discussing about getting our attic done for a couple years after really high utility bills and finding out that there was really old insulation in our attic. We chose Attic Bros due to a number of factors including professionalism, price and time frame for the job. Joey was extremely professional and the crew was efficient and cleanly. The job was done in one day and although we stayed away for most of the job we wanted to check in and Joey was very accommodating letting us see the progress of the work being done.
