I hired attic bros today to do my rodent proofing and attic cleaning. My attic is very tight, and other companies I contacted said they needed to open a new hatch in my other room. But Carlos and his team was able to change insulation in my attic without extra hatch. They also sealed their work area, didn't create a mess after they are done. We used Atticbro for our house to get rid of rat issue. 9month after the full service was completed, rat came back. Possible reason is probably because our house is adjacent with neighbor's house and the tile roof is connected. Ricardo provided service professionally and pointed out the problem. I used another 5-star rodent control company to clean up attic and crawl space clean up and seal up of my house. They are ok but the workmanship is not as expected -- the attic is not clean up complete that left some mouse droppings and the sealing of the opening is not complete. The other company did lackluster inspection and over charged the area involved. So when it comes to the next step to install new insulation in the attic, I decided to look around for better people. The real test of whether a company is a five star enterprise is not so much how they perform when everything goes right, but how they perform when things go wrong. My experience with Attic bros was a 5 star experience from the very beginning of my getting an estimate from them until the attic cover was finally closed at the end of the project. Making an appointment for a free estimate was a breeze. A few days later Ori came out to look at my attic. He climbed into the attic and examined the entire attic space taking numerous pictures to show me what needed to be done. He patiently answered all my questions and gave options for what services they could offer. He later emailed me his estimate for attic clean up, sanitizing the attic, rodent proofing, new insulation, and new ductwork. It ain't cheap, but I needed to have it done. After doing some comparison shopping, I settled on Attic Bros and we set a date for the work to be done. On the agreed date, Vic and his crew showed up on time and talked me though everything they would be doing, starting with building the plastic tunnel from the attic access to my front door, keeping all the debris contained. Vic and his team worked tirelessly the whole day but unfortunately one of the team had an accident and punched a big hole in my bedroom ceiling. While I was understandably angry, both Vic and Ori assured me that the repair would be done so that it looked better than before. I want to say a few words about Ori. He was amazing to deal with, and extremely responsive. Ori is Attic Bros secret weapon! The person who they found to do the repair was a real craftsman. When Armando was finished with the repair and painting, it was truly as if the accident never happened. All during this process, and even afterwards Ori was in contact with me to make sure that I was satisfied with their work. Maybe this constant contact was because of the accident, but like I said at the beginning, true 5 star companies reveal themselves when things don't go right, and how they respond to problems. We had our Attic redone by Attic Bros around 8months ago where they removed all of the existing insulation and added fresh insulation. We requested that they pay special attention to openings as we had problem with Raccoons and Possums. This paid meticulous attention to the problem areas that we called out and did a great job closing them up. We pointed out various options for insulation e.g. Cellulose batts which they diligently explored and provided feedback and suggestions on the best path forward. A few months in we started to hear some scratching noises up in the attic and we scheduled a check and fix. Ricardo V came over and did a meticulous job of going through the unfixed openings in the roof sealing all of them up walking through all of the gaps. He was very practical and clear in resolving this. Kudos to Ricardo, It would have been so much better to have involved in the first work done. Our attic insulation was original to our house from 1979, so I wanted to improve the heat retention. I used Yelp to find vendors, and I chose Attic Bros and two others to come out and do an analysis. Among the three, Michael from Attic Bros did the most thorough analysis, explained things in the most logical and thorough way, and then came in with a price that was competitive with the others. The office staff followed up on everything from beginning to end. I was always aware of the next steps and timing. They handled the BayREN rebate paperwork quickly and followed up with me through that process. The onsite crew was efficient and minimally disrupted our work-from-home life. I got frequent updates on progress, and the clean-up was spotless. My wife has commented that since the installation, the house feels warmer.
