This is a follow-up review of Attic Bros. It has now been one year since Attic Bros did rodent exclusion on my house. From the very first day of work (October 2024), I was so impressed with the outstanding job performance of Ricardo. He was meticulous and so knowledgeable in his approach in solving the rodent problems. He investigated every single area where rodent activity was taking place. Ricardo did all the comprehensive follow up visits for the entire year which I was very happy about because of the continuity and I had 100% confidence and trust in Ricardo. Since October 2024 there has been no rodent activity in the attic thanks to Ricardo. I would give more stars if I could. read more

Our neighbors recently had their insulation done and gave us a referral to Attic Bros. With summer approaching and PG&E bills what they are, we thought it was a good idea to look into the same service. Jordan came out and did the initial estimate. He showed us pictures, explained the service and gave us time to ask questions. Ultimately they remove the current insulation (assuming you have some), they do a decontamination/cleaning, and then they install new, thick batting and make sure all the things that need to be sealed up are sealed...I think that is also rodent proofing. Vic and two guys came a couple of weeks later, once we committed to the job. They were all friendly and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. When they first taped up the room, we were reminded of Dexter...fortunately it turns out they are just methodical in keeping your house clean! The price was very reasonable from our research and the service is impeccable. We think we can already feel a difference in how our house is maintaining temp. Vic even made a suggestion for air flow diverters that has improved our A/C flow :). read more

We Highly Recommend AtticBros! They were professional throughout the process of Inspection, Cleaning/Installation and Follow up Inspection. I think it was Ricardo who came to do the initial inspection and he was able to locate and show me where our problem areas were, including existing condition and inward routes the rats/rodents were taking in accessing our attic. This also came with several photos indicating those problems. When they came to clean and install the insulation, Vic B was the project manager and he was thorough in what their process was going to be that day and from what I could tell, their end product was excellent. They went around, inside and on top of the house to close up areas as well, which was a major plus. The only thing I noticed about a few of the screens they used to block certain openings was that they used this foam spray material that could have possibly been applied a little cleaner as there was excess foam left behind that were sitting around the area not affected. So I just peeled those pieces away. Thinking maybe there is a better material they could use that look and is applied with more ease without excess. Photos were given after they were finished and we really enjoyed Vic. He rocks! The follow-up inspection was nice because there was a residual rat that got into one of the traps and they reset and replaced that trap. We haven't had a problem since. Attic Bros came out and gave a quote (higher than one quote but a little lower than another). They were completely worth the price. They were also so easy to deal with. Ori, the project manager came to provide a quote. From the start we had a wonderful and calming feeling for what he and his team were going to do. He was extremely friendly and professional. He inspected the attic and provided photos of what was going on. He went through the steps that would be performed and offered two solutions. We opted for a complete cleaning, sanitizing, rodent exclusion, and installation of new batting insultation. The crew showed up exactly at the time promised and once again Ori, reviewed every step and had us inspect as they went along. So I called Attic Bros to inspect rodent activity before we move into our new house in Almaden valley. My recent experience with Attic Bros, particularly with MICHAEL, was utterly disappointing and unprofessional. From the moment he stepped into my house, Michael made derogatory remarks about the cleanliness of my attic, repeatedly using words like "dirty," "filthy," and "gross." I mean that's the whole point of hiring someone to clean my attic. Who would spend money if it's clean and nice. It was abundantly clear that he lacked the basic courtesy and professionalism expected from a service provider. Not only did Michael criticize my attic, but he also made unwarranted comments about unrelated aspects of my home, such as the popcorn ceiling, which is completely beyond the scope of his job. His behavior was extremely disrespectful and completely unacceptable. As an Asian house owner, I was appalled by his assumption that I would seek unlicensed services solely based on my ethnicity. Not just that, he also questioned me the legitimacy of other companies and their licenses which is so unprofessional and offensive. Why would I hire someone who does not have a license? I don't even know where to look for unlicensed pest control specialist or (the contractor) I edited this just in case he was referring about the contractor for my ceiling. Again that is not even his business at all. And he said he would not take this kinda project since the house has tile roof and attic is dirty, which I don't think he even has that kind of authority to do that. At the same time it makes me to question attic bro that don't they offer the service in Almaden valley? Because Literally almost every house in Almaden valley SJ has tile roof. But weirdly, he seemed to calm down before he left and " so you have any questions or concerns? I'll send you email about the quote shortly, you can reject it or accept it " . Of course, I'll reject it, there are a ton of pest control companies in Silicon Valley I can choose. Overall , my experience with Michael and Attic Bros was not only disappointing but also deeply concerning. Attic Bros was recommended to us by a longtime contractor friend of ours. Wow, he wasn't kidding. Attic Bros was fantastic! "Ori" was so responsive and thorough in his responses to my (many) questions and requests--really impressive. And then their field crew leader, Victor, was amazing too as well as his crew. Victor was so friendly, pleasant and nice to work with when he and his crew came out to replace our attic insulation. Thorough and professional, they did an excellent job as our attic insulation was some 60 years old and we had a ton of debris in the attic from the new roof we had just installed. They paid attention when I mentioned my cautions to watch out for existing computer cables and such. No one ever wants a rat infestation. But when you do, you want the level of service AtticBros has provided. Let's start with the quote. The guy who quoted us was on time and super professional, with his own gear and clean suits/ fresh booties (he had a huge pack of these). The other folks who quoted, were either small-scale and unable to handle a full house issue, later VERY to the quote appointment, or just didn't care to send a quote back. They showed up day of with a huge crew. They used plastic sheets and suits to keep the house clean and free from particulates (I have kids and was very grateful for this); took out all of the house insulation (GIANT VACUME); sealed every crack in the attic; sealed the basement crawl space; put back all new insulation. All before 5pm. Additionally, they laid traps and suggested we check twice a week. One negative here: Attic Bros do have to be scheduled to come in and tend to be a week or two out. This includes warranty work. The night after the big cleanout. We heard crazy commotion in the walls and one of the traps caught something. (very loud snap). Caught the one left! It took them two weeks to get out on a very hot summer. The smell nearly drove us out of the house before they showed up. But again, they cleaned EVERYthing and reset the traps. Nothing has shown up in the attic since. The basement, however... We've had AtticBros back out a couple of times for rats finding ways into the basement. The rats chew new holes in walls!! Ricardo has been above and beyond amazing with setting traps, removing the two we caught, closing up the holes and even looking for places they might go next. Much like the quote guy, Ricardo brings his own ladder/ equipment and is very courteous even removing his shows between the front door and putting them on only as he steps on the ladder. Ricardo's memory for details is impressive. He remembers every bit of our conversations. He's also great with advice and using the taps and pellets he's recommended we've likely put a dent in the rat population in the local area. Highly recommend. Five stars! read more

Highly recommend! We hired Attic Bros. to inspect, clean, and insulate our attics. Each and every Attic Bro who came to our house was kind, professional, and thorough. The process involved 3 stages. 1. Inspection. I can't recall his name, but the man who did the inspection was super nice. He did a thorough examination of our attics and took a lot of pictures, which he shared with us. He did a great job of explaining everything he was going to do, and what the process would look like if we decided to continue the project with Attic Bros. 5 stars! 2. Cleaning and insulation installation. Jordan and a few team members came over for this stage. They were great! I appreciate that, before they started working, Jordan explained what they would be doing and what to expect. When they finished working, Jordan shared photos with me of everything he and his team had done. 5 stars for their hard work! But I do have to admit, minus 1 star because the closet shelf got knocked down when they were working. Great guys though! 3. The follow-up inspection. Ricardo stopped by for the final stage. He did a thorough job of inspecting the attics. He checked the rat traps that Attic Bros. had installed. He even discovered a few spots where pests could still enter the attic, and he sealed them. Great customer service - both on the phone and in person. I used them to come out and seal up entry points and check everything out. While we were lucky not to have any critters living there, the team cleaned up some old droppings and replaced some insulation. Couple pointers: Attic Bros asks people to remove bad reviews. The star rating on yelp isn't accurate. For real estate agents: Attic bros blamed my real estate agent as the reason why they didn't disclose that the garage had rats as well as the attic. They asked if I could request him to pay part of the increased fee for them to come again. Just an FYI! In a nutshell: They don't do the work well the first time, which will cost you big in the long run if you weren't lucky like me and had another contractor find their mistakes. Then they promise to do some miniscule thing so you remove your negative review, and do that additional work badly anyways. On the first visit, they left my vent with a ball of foam sticking out of it, saying they didn't replace the netting because the guy forgot his power tools. I forgave them as they said they'd come back and fix it. Then another contractor found their shoddy work, which was very lucky and most people dont get! While in my attic, my electrician found the ending of my stovetop hosing lying on the fresh insulation disconnected. 5 years of that and I'd have much bigger problems than a few rats, likely mold and condensation completely wrecking my attic. Understandably, I was angry and left them a bad review. They called me back. They asked me nicely to please remove the bad review. To prove it, they will fix the hosing and replace the bottom outside vents with nice netting as I requested (see photo). With this second encounter, I found out how bad their communication is. You talk with the head office and they communicate with the workers but not clearly. It's like a hellish game of telephone and no one knows what's going on, including the contractors who are almost always annoyed with them too. They visited me 4 times to install what ended up to be only one $5 vent and ended up doing that ONE VENT wrong anyways. They replaced the ONLY vent that didn't need it, lol. See pics. On one of the 4 meaningless visits, I asked the guy why the garage is still smelly despite the attic insulation removal and find out inspector Otis didn't inform me about the rats in the garage ceiling space in the first statement. Because they have to come out with all their equipment again, it's going to cost a lot more than if I got it done the first time. I ask why the hell didn't you tell me about the rats in the garage the first time? Why would i only remove half the rats in my house? Did I tell you I'm starting my own rat circus troupe and wanted to keep some of them?? They blamed it on my real estate agent saying he asked to omit the garage from the work statement when he asked them to do an inspection, which he adamantly denied. And I asked them why didn't you inform ME of everything that had rats and let ME make the decision what I wanted done?? I'm the homeowner. I literally engaged in a 30 min to 1 hour shouting conversation with them over this; you should've told ME!! They insisted it was my agents fault and asked me to request my real estate agent to pay for the increased cost. They refuse to admit they were wrong. They come back to me. It's the holidays, we will give you a break. We will offer to give you a price for the garage insulation removal where we will make no profit ($2k! And still not cheaper than doing it the first time). I am smarter this time and look up other people and find someone 38% cheaper than the no-profit price they quoted. I was so fed up with them. And the new attic people were soo much better. They did it correctly and thoroughly the first time round AND were cheaper. (I reviewed them as well. Click my profile to find them instead of using these terrible people.) Don't go through what I had to go through! Get people who will do it well the first time! They'll do and say everything to get you to remove a bad review, but maybe... just maybe they should do a good job the first time to get good reviews. Novel concept. I just want to commend the entire end-to-end experience with Attic Bros from our initial quote experience with Ori to the excellent install by Vic and crew. It was professional, it was efficient, it was high quality and I am so happy with the final product. We had extensive work done in both our crawlspace and attic replacing old ductwork, putting in new insulation in the attic, and weather sealing the entire space. The house already feels significantly warmer since we had this install done without requiring the heater to go so much. We requested a site visit to our home and quickly received a response. A representative arranged to meet us to examine our attic. He crawled into our two spaces, took pictures, and then discussed what he found with us. We agreed that we needed rat remediation and removal of old insulation, replacing with new and better insulation. We received a detailed bid after the representative explained in detail what they would do. After accepting bid, they promptly scheduled a time to perform the work. On the date we arranged, a team of three began working. Very efficient and professional. Finished in one day. Cleaned up everything. Took more pictures to show us exactly what they had accomplished. They were both good people to do business with and just good people in general! From the very beginning, Jordan was the inspector/estimator for my project on attic clean-up and insulation installation and he provided me very professional advice about how the project should be and he was very patient to listen to my questions and answered all of them. He provided me a competitive quote on the project based on his estimation on the project. When I decided to go with Attic Bros for the business, it is pretty soon with the coordinator - Scott's help and Jordan's agreement, I was very lucky to have Jordan be my project manager on this project. The project started on time and went smoothly to the end. Although there are some mishaps happening to my ceilings in the kitchen and the family room during the time that the clean-up job and insulation installation was proceeded, the project manager - Jordan quickly responded to that issue. He went to Home Depot right away, bought materials and had his crew - Juan make quick temp fixes to prevent insulation materials from being exposed directly to my living areas. And he also reported that issue to his office and asked the office to make an arrangement to follow up that issue. I might update the review later when their follow-ups are completed. Overall, Jordan and his crew - Juan, Jesse and Humberto got the job done efficiently and tidily. For my case, due to accidental mishap happened to my ceiling during my attic project, they sent a handy technician three times to make sure my satisfaction can be met. Yes, they did and did it well. The handy technician - Ricardo and his teammate - Jesse did a great job on what their company asked them to do. Besides, it also impressed me that the coordinator - Scout kept his courteous attitude to arrange all the appointments and kept me informed of the status of those appointments very well.
