A month later we placed a to go order and mentioned the appetizer and she confirmed that was correct. I go to pick it up and the owner comes out and says he will not honor that because the price of the appetizer was too high and pick something else. #1. That wasnt what they offered and we agreed to. #2. If you're not going to honor it why not call me and let me know so I don't drive there and waste my time again? He has my number. Edit: regarding the response below. If the intentions were to offer items up to a certain price then that should've been made clear. The problem was they clearly specified ANY APPETIZER of your choosing numerous times. And obviously they have a responsibility to address this when I placed the order/after instead of waiting for me to drive there.

Unfortunately, nothing was offered. The food was good, but this experience was upsetting, especially seeing my daughter almost in tears over her shirt. I hope the restaurant can handle situations like this better in the future.

The fish was some of the freshest I've ever had - flavorful, definitely sushi grade, and I could tell that it also wasn't previously frozen due to the color and texture. The miso soup and the spicy edamame were well-seasoned and delicious. My nephew had a combination plate with orange chicken, broccoli beef, and chicken fried rice. One thing to note that was really nice is that the restaurant allows you to create your own combination plates, they're not set items with no substitutions. When our waitress brought my nephew's combo plate, the food looked freshly cooked and delicious! He ate every bite! When I arrived and asked what the charge was for, I was told it was essentially a tip for the kitchen because it was a to-go order over $100. Let me get this straight: because I spent over $100 on a to-go order, I'm required to tip the kitchen for preparing the food I ordered? We didn't dine in. We weren't waited on or catered to at a table. When I asked if I could opt out of the service charge, I was told I could not. So I paid an additional $19.50 service charge just to pick up our already expensive food. Then there was the food itself. My son and I each ordered a Dragon Roll, and both were disappointing. You could clearly see that the eel was overcooked, and the rice was dry. Neither my son nor I enjoyed the roll. When you're charging these kinds of prices, the quality should match. Unfortunately, I still have another $100 voucher that I need to use. Once that's gone, so am I. As I'm writing this at 5:50 PM on a Saturday, there are only two occupied tables inside. Between the ridiculous prices, inconsistent food quality, and a mandatory 20% service charge on to-go orders over $100 that wasn't clear when ordering, I can understand why customers may be choosing other options.
