I ordered deluxe mixed vegetables lunch special for $10.99. I added two dollars of beef and two dollars of chicken. The dish came out hot the vegetables were delicious and fresh cooked just right. The sauce was kind of a sweet garlicky sauce I don't care for sweet but it was OK. The chicken was cut in big pieces while it was soft it was very rubbery. The beef was very chewy. The lunch special came with egg flower soup which was very good, spring rolls, very mushy inside, some fried wontons, and steamed rice. Portions were very large and an excellent deal for $10.99 for all of that, well $14.99 because of the added meats. A quarter pounder meal at McDonald's cost more than this healthy dish. Their food is good, but PHONE communication is poor. Their On-line ordering "preferred" method does not allow pay over phone. However, the rep wanted to argue with me. The option only allows "pay at counter." I'm in Modesto, but having my Son pick it up on his way by. I wanted to pay in advance, so he didn't have to. Save your money and your stomach. The quality of the food was inedible for the expensive price. I ordered a family meal and the huhunan beef was too sweet and had a god awful aroma to it, I gagged while chewing it. The chow mein if you can even call it that was so elastic and old that I couldn't even break it up chewing it. All the proteins chicken, beef and shrimp were slimy and had the worst texture. The only edible food out of that overpriced meal was the appetizers and soup. I was glued to the toilet after trying to finish one plate. I work nearby, so if I'm craving Chinese...it will do in a pinch. The pot stickers are really good. I also like to get the lunch combo with sweet and sour pork with fried rice. The fried rice isn't what you would expect though. It's just rice with soy sauce and egg, so it's pretty boring. The eggroll that comes in the combo is just cabbage and super greasy. Today I decided to try the BBQ pork chow fun. The serving size was large, but it lacked in flavor and there was so much oil, I could feel it sitting in my stomach. I accidentally dropped a small noodle onto my pants and the oil seeped in and left a stain. Why is it like this? It's pretty gross! read more

I never even got a picture of the veggie egg rolls, because they were seeping through their bag with grease and something tasted off about them. The sweet and sour tofu was the worst, with watered down sauce and over cooked tofu. The egg foo young was more enjoyable; yet most likely the worst I've ever had. Over priced.... Ordered combo plates the are not filled like most Chinese restaurants do. They consider chowmein to be an entree and not a side like rice so you can't substitute. It's insanely expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area. They service was not helpful at all they are pretty strict on no substitutes. They even left a note in my bag saying sorry no substitutions.... But it's not so much about no substituting as the prices they charge... won't be coming back here, going to stick with Golden china. We've been coming here for a number of years and have never had a bad meal. Although we live in Modesto, we find an excuse to drive to Turlock for a good Chinese meal. On our most recent visit we ordered the Sizzling Rice Soup, honey Walnut Shrimp, and Pot Stickers. This was more than plenty for the two of us. No complaints here. read more

They brought out 2 extra plates which was nice because we split everything. The flavors were very good, a traditional Chinese food taste. Not too spicy for the Kung POW which was nice.
