    Eggplant stir fry with pork
    Lil B.

Saturday early dinner at 5pm. Must have been between server shifts - it was a little slow on the food but not low on the kindness and good service. Started with Pot Stickers. Ordered Choochee Salmon and Eggplant Stir Fry with pork. Brown rice. And a pot of jasmine tea. The salmon sauce was like peanut butter and red coconut curry flavor. Both dishes had veggies done near perfect. My eggplant was a tad over cooked but still was good. The stir fry sauce was delicious. Pot Stickers came out steaming HOT and the dipping sauce was good too. Portions were adequate and kept me from overeat. I took a small box home with leftovers. Lots of tables so might be good for groups but if you come with a large party maybe call ahead and make sure they'll have an extra server. Our server was holding it down - phone orders, to go, bussing tables, taking orders and bringing out the food. She was great!

The food is sooo goood! We ordered a whole bunch of stuff to try. The server was super sweet. The restaurant is very unassuming as it is basically tucked into a strip mall. We ordered the Tomkha Soup, fresh rolls, cucumber salad, and something else I can't remember what it was called. Can't wait to go back. We wanted to try the Papaya Salad but they were out...so next time! As usual, we started eating before we snapped a pic.

Was in the area and decided to dine-in this time. The Vietnamese roll is now determined to be a favorite at this place! It was better enjoying them at the restaurant fresh and warm! Crunchy and very tasty! The yellow curry mild had a little (tolerable) kick to it. Love them potatoes and carrots in that dish! Although towards the end of our meal, it got near closing time, we did not feel rushed. Our server was nice with a quiet demeanor. Happy to report we actually finished our meal before closing time. I would recommend dining in!

Went there for my birthday recently and made reservations beforehand for a larger crowd since I know its usually a pretty small waitstaff (1-2ppl). Everything was delicious amd came out promptly. Only complaint was that we only ordered one dish slightly spicy, but several of the dishes came out hotter than it normally is. I was fine with it, but I know some of my friends struggled to eat some of the food. The waitress had confirmed our order when she left and correctly repeated back we only wanted one dish medium hot, so I dont know what happened. Still a favorite of mine, but would like to warn those who can't handle spicy food to be very clear when ordering what your spice tolerance is.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff at the front. I ordered the Chicken Cashew Nut, it was amazing, I absolutely loved it! I definitely plan on coming back again, and would recommend to my friends. I've ordered Cashew Nut at other restaurants before but in my opinion this was the best I've had so far. Restaurant inside is clean, quiet and roomy with a nice set up for seating. 5 Stars all around.

    Red Curry

First time trying this place. It was completely empty when we walked in but was greeted with great service. For drinks, my family and I ordered the Thai tea and thai green tea. I wasn't a big fan of the Thai tea it was overly sweet in my opinion. The Thai green tea was pretty sweet too but I liked it a little better than the regular Thai tea. I probably wouldn't order it again. The soda tasted a little bit diluted/less carbonated than I would like it though. I ordered the tom yum with medium spice, mango fried rice, chicken red curry and pad thai medium spice. For the tom yum, the spice was perfect. It wasn't bad in taste I would give it a 7.5/10. The mango fried rice was the first time I've ever tried it. My family usually orders the pineapple fried rice. It seems like it contains the same ingredients as the pineapple fried rice but juice with mangoes there was an after taste to it due to a specific spice they put in it that I was not used to but it was very good. 10/10. I didn't try my family's red curry but did not hear any complaints. But wowwww the pad thai was 10000/10. One of the best I have ever tried. It was not lacking in flavor AT ALLL. very well done. I could tell prior to my visit that the pictures I saw on yelp did not disappoint. And having to try it in person confirmed it. Only thing is it didn't really taste like there was any spice but the flavor was outstanding. I can't wait to come back again! Hopefully next time I will make more room for the mango sticky rice :p

Khao Soi and Panang Curry with White Rice

This is my first time here. I was greeted immediately with the sweetest server. The food was AMAZING! The curry was so rich with flavor and so was the Khao Soi. The Khao Soi is almost like a green and yellow curry noodle soup. Definitely something new that I've tried and I loved it. Consider trying it if you come:) I also had the Thai tea which is a must have at any Thai restaurant and it was also tasty. The atmosphere on a Saturday was quiet & calming. Restaurant is clean and relaxing. Check this place out. Would definitely come again.

Nothing special about the decor, but this place has excellent food! I especially couldn't stop with the Pad Thai - soooo delicious. The sweet & sour pork was a little skimpy on pork. Parking is easy for large groups.

The Shrimp Fresh Rolls are huge, fresh and healthy. Just $9.99 so not bad and healthy AF paired with a a delightful Tomha shrimp soup. Empty place on a cold Thursday night 11/7. After I ate the rolls I ate all the peanut sauce. Yes, you can do that.

Their interior design and artwork is probably the best I've seen in Roseville. Bountiful crayons and coloring for kids - convenient for parents! Every item we ordered was absolutely muy fantastico! Love that you can specify spice levels 1-4 for many of their food selections. Personally, I feel level 2 spice is our sweet spot (we tried 3 and it was a bit too much). My take? 1 Mild spicy, 2 Moderate spicy, 3 Very spicy, 4 Killer hot spicy. Our mix this visit - MTK money bags, pad thai with shrimp (no spice), pineapple fried rice with shrimp (no spice), panang curry with chicken (spice level 3 - bit much for us), thai iced tea (1 dine in free refill! Not for takeout though), sticky rice, and beef salad (least favorite, not worth the price tag IMO). Excellent Thai food and absolutely worth a visit for foodie lovers locally! Probably not worth going far out of your way but great spot to satisfy your Thai cravings if you're in the area.

I ordered the Pad Mee Kow or Drunken Noodles with Beef just based off Yelp photos. I don't normally order this dish, but it's the best I've had. Noodles intact and not stuck together. Lots of beef. Not the most tender meat, so maybe pork would be better. On my next lunch visit, I ordered Pad Ka Prow with Ground Pork & Brown Rice and a small Crystal Noodles Soup. You can choose a spice level from 1 (mild) to 5 (most spicy). I chose level 3, but I probably would be happier with level 1 or 2. Choice of jasmine rice or brown rice. I enjoyed the chewy texture and appearance of the brown rice. Pad Ka Prow is tasty. I loved the Crystal Noodles Soup. If I were to compare just on the food alone with a couple of other high rated Thai restaurants,…read morethen maybe it would get a 4 star, or 4.5 stars. The food is delicious and prepared traditionally authentic, no doubt about that. When comparing certain dishes also served by a couple of other highly regarded Thai restaurants between Roseville and Rocklin, I prefer same dishes at those other places. But then every chef and cook deserves to present their own variations of the same traditional known recipes. However, Khobkoon has choices not found in other Thai restaurants as entire fish. Most others serve precut morsels of fish, but mostly only serve shrimp and chewy squid. If comparing prices between this one located in West Roseville area from Sisters Thai Kitchen also in West Roseville, both have slight different variations on shared types of traditional dishes. Both also have dishes not found in the other and that is a good thing for us seeking variety. The main difference, given similar pricing, is that Khobkoon provides conplete table service with all the basic proper amenities and owner's personal attention . He even gives a complimentary truffle chocolate treat per each diner. At Sisters Thai Kitchen, it is more like a semi self help service and yet prices are as if complete at table service. is included. To me, good service and comfortable atmosphere, even if not fancy, is a big part of the overall dining out experience. I dine out to enjoy the experience, not simply to eat just to stuff my stomach. The wall interior is warm carved wood with comfortable lighting. Yet prices are equal or comparable to the other one with uneven service. I will be patronizing Khobkoon more often, and especially since it is my preference to support overall fine quality restaurants , whenever possible, closest to where I live which sustains an economically healthy neighborhood as well.

On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs!
