    Drunken noodles
    Luv H.

Really enjoyed eating at Orchid Thai Cuisine! The restaurant was beautiful and the decorations made the place feel very welcoming and relaxing. We ordered the green curry and the drunken noodles. The green curry had a stronger coconut flavor than curry paste flavor and it was a little on the salty side, but it still tasted really good overall. The drunken noodles were delicious! The service was also great. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back again to try more dishes!

I have had takeout and delivery many times from this restaurant and this is my first time to eat in it. The place is large with an abundance of indoor and outdoor patio seating. We sat indoors at a window booth. The interior on first glance appears upscale and nicely appointed until one looks closer at the abundance of artifical flowers and plants engulfing the upper perimeter of the room. Plus it could use some sprucing up as well. Overall if you don't look too hard it's nice enough. I have found at both pick up and this time eating in that the service is not overly friendly, just matter of fact and bordering on surly. No one appears to be enjoying their job. Nonetheless the food is consistently good, and the prime reason for a visit. The menu is broad and there are many choices from the usual Thai dishes plus a good array of seafood. This time I selected the Thai Chow Mein with my selection of tofu for the protein. I ordered it "spicy", one step below "Thai Spice". I ordered it with a Saporro beer on tap. Service and delivery of food was prompt and the dish look very appealing and appetizing. All of the flavors were absolutely delicious and the chow mein noodles tasty and perfectly cooked. The tofu was good and nicely cooked as well, still tender and lightly toasted on the outside. I found the spiciness level just OK under what I was expecting and hoped for, which hasn't been the case with my other takeout or delivery orders. Orchid Thai is a good, consistent restaurant. I will definitely continue to have them as a 'go-to' option for delicious Thai food.

Mango chicken is a must try!

Well we'll well!!! Here I am back in Lincoln for the day! I finally got the day off and I decided to spend it with my BESTIE here at Orchid Thai Cuisine. I introduced her to this restaurant about 8 years ago and she's been a fan ever since. It has been years since I have been here and walking in here is still as elegant as it was before. It's beautiful in here. There is a stage for when they have entertainment/singers with sounds of water trickling. I love that outdoor seating is available and there are a few waterfalls and gorgeous banana plants set up with big and smaller tables. We decided to sit up at the bar. Chris was our bartender/server. He was very chill and he knew we needed a drink. We started off with waters, ordered a big sake, and each a glass of Sapporo. For lunch, we each ordered the Mango Chicken (it comes ala carte and we both love it) and she ordered her other half drunken noodles with chicken to go. I didn't even see Chris put our order in and our food was done pretty fast! The chicken is so delicious with chunks of mango. I think it is tossed in a little bit of a sweet chili glaze. There is nothing around like it! We also each got a side of rice (it doesn't come with) and it was so tasty and freshly cooked. Chris got us refills on the sake a few times. We got it got... and it comes pretty hot! He was on top of things the whole time! Super service! Delicious food! What's not to love about Orchid Thai Cuisine??

Coconut soup - with shrimp tails attached. Choking hazard! Soup was very milky and had no flavor.

When you walk in you are greeted by a heavily decorated room - very ornate like it belongs at Disney. Ordered the coconut soup, paid extra for shrimp. The shrimp still had the tail on, which caused me to CHOKE. I dug around to find the others - there were two more with the tail on (see pictures). The soup was very bland. Disappointing. When our entrees arrived, a the manager appeared asking if we wanted to go containers. Um, can we take a bite of our entrees before you throw us out the door? Really rude! Rice paper rolls were really plain - lots of shredded lettuce and a big chunk of tofu. They were miserly with the chili sauce, the server had to get the manager to "ok" the extra dollops of chili sauce and the manager delivered it to our table. Again, she was cold and said nothing as we thanked her. One and done, for sure. Their food isn't good - we much prefer and highly recommend Ruen Thai in Roseville.

We've been here many times and it's always great. They have some seriously tasty cocktails and their food is always on point. We decided to stay in and do takeout last night, and it was just as good as dining in. We got their Thai Chow Mein and got it "crazy spicy." They have different levels of spice and "crazy spicy" is the spiciest. If you like a real kick, their highest spice level is the way to go. My husband usually sticks with his favorite, the chicken satay with peanut sauce, which is consistently delicious. I also grabbed a Thai Iced Tea, which was super refreshing.  When I went in to pick up our order, I noticed they've updated the decor recently and it looks really nice. In the past, we've come by on weekend evenings when they have live music, which adds such a great vibe. It's also super convenient because there's usually plenty of parking in the lot. It's just a solid, welcoming spot for the community.

Always yummy. However I wish the heat scale would be consistent. Ordered Medium heat, was not hot at all. Last time I ordered it was perfect heat. Seems w each cook the heat is different. Service is always good and attentive. They just revamped the decor inside. Kinda busy

Green curry chicken - not green at all & awful unknown odor

First time here, takeout order includes: chicken basil fried rice, chicken green curry, beef pad kee mao (drunken noodles), and an order of sticky rice. Took about 15 mins, hot, portion sizes are bigger than other places but so is the price. Came this evening around 910pm and there's several ppl at the bar which looked nice, restaurant looked nice too. Food: the green curry is like not green at all, resembles the color of Tom Kha, then the smell was AWFUL. It smelled like a fart to be honest. No clue what that's from at all. Didn't smell like curry at all or coconut. I have no clue what it's diluted with or why it's not green. I went ahead and tried it bc my MIL said it was good and it didn't taste like curry either. Unfortunate. The pad kee mao beef (drunken noodles) looked more like pad see ew and had no spice to it at all even tho we ordered mild. Really lacks flavor in addition to having no spice, with an excessive amount of grease/oil Basil fried rice chicken very bland too. Even when you eat a bite of basil, it doesn't taste like basil. Missing flavors of seasoning sauce too. I'm super bummed bc this was for my man's bday dinner with his family and I did not enjoy it plus this was 67$. These are basic dishes we always order from other Thai spots that have never disappointed. I had this spot on my bookmarks for over a yr too. Rum Thai and Pinto Thai are so fire so there'd literally be no reason for me to ever return. Not eating Thai leftovers is insane for me to say. Esp bc I JUST got back from Thailand this week.

Always love orchid. I've been here many times with friends and always have had a wonderful experience. I love the papaya salad and pad Thai dishes. I also love getting the lantern lemonade to drink. We love coming here on nights out because it's close to our favorite bar and the food is delicious. Service is always excellent and the ambiance is inviting.

This was my nephew's choice for his birthday dinner last night and I had never been here before. It is located in the shopping center where Urbanos and Silino is. I liked that it was wide and open so it is easy to see where people are. We arrived first and they set up our table for ten while we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Each person ordered their own entree but I partnered with my sister and hubs to do some sharing of Pad Thai, crab fried rice, and happy chicken which was a sweet stir fry with veggies. Added a side of sticky rice that was a brick and not really edible. Everything else was fresh and delicious! Portions were good for $20 and I ended taking enough home for another meal. My only complaint was how far staggered our meals were served in our group. By the time the first person was half finished, the last entree arrived. Luckily, they noticed when eight of us were happily eating when two were sitting there with empty spots and checked on the order. What impressed me the most was the service! Our waitress was very kind and patient and helped my indecisive sister with the menu. They kept our drinks filled and cleared away the dishes without asking. Then they saw the cake and candles we brought and offered to set that up for us. They took it out of the box, placed the candles, lit them and put it in front of the birthday boy. It was a very nice gesture! I left very satisfied and happy with my experience. That's how you do 5 stars! well done folks. I will be back.

This is the spot to go for Thai food in Rocklin! I am a huge fan of Thai food and everything I've tried here has been so flavorful and exceeded my expectations. Their curry was maybe some of the best I have had. The mango sticky rice was so good and a definite must try too. The portions here are all great, as a group of 6, just 3 dishes filled us all up. My only complaint with the food is that rice doesn't automatically come with the curry which I think it always should. The service here is always very good and they tend to get busy but their takeout service is great too.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with vaulted ceilings, Thai decor and statues, abundant indoor dining and a lovely patio. Excellent menu featuring Thai cuisine, all the favorites such as drunken noodles, pad Thai, and red, green and yellow curries. Plenty of vegetarian options. Healthy, veggie rich dishes, salads, spring rolls. Great cocktails and a nice bar area as well. Service is always great. Wait staff is friendly and accommodating. It's a great spot for lunch or dinner if you are craving Thai! I recommend the Drunken Noodles, Red Curry, and Tom Kha soup.

I was in the Lincoln area during Lunch time and Yelp sent me a suggestion to try Orchid. I decided why not it was lunch time anyways. Bou, was I glad I tried. It was a lovely dining experience . The ambiance was not a bland Hall with a few tables. It was a grand lovely place with beautiful tropical wall decor and an absolutely lovely center piece. I was seated in a booth with a bamboo view. I chose an old fav drunken noodles. King Kong chicken was interesting. All the old favorites are there. Menu is pretty much a standardized menu. The place stands out because of service and exquisite ambiance.

It's in a busy plaza, but there's plenty of parking available. Inside is decorated nicely and has plenty of seating, and I was greeted right away. I ordered take out at the counter and while I was there they were offering lunch portions in addition to their regular portions. I ended up ordering Thai Tea, Tom Kha Soup, Green Curry (lunch portion) and Pad Eggplant (full order) along with rice to go with the Pad Eggplant. The lunch portions are a bit smaller, but come with rice, while the regular portions are larger and a bit more expensive and rice is extra. I took a seat and waited for my order. They brought my Thai tea out right away and I sipped on it while I waited. The tea was tasty and had good flavor without being overly sweet. As I waited there were a bunch of people stopping in to pick up take-out orders. It didn't take too long to receive my order and it was well packed- in fact, since I ordered my Tom Kha soup with tofu and chicken they even had an extra small container so the full portion, with add ons would fit. I thought this was very considerate. All the food was still hot once I returned home and it was packed very securely. My favorite was the Pad Eggplant, on the menu it's listed as choice of: Chicken, Pork, Beef, Tofu, Mixed Vegetables, Shrimp, or Calamari | Stir-fried eggplant, bell peppers, carrots, onions, green onions, sweet basil, and your choice of protein sautéed in Grandma's special sauce. The Grandma's special sauce is the reason I ordered it and it was delicious. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was flavorful, and I ordered mine with pork and it was great. The green curry was good, but didn't blow me away- this is something I typically order at Thai restaurants and the curry had a very soupy consistency that was thinner. The veggies were fresh and delicious, and didn't soak in the curry flavor, they held their own fresh veggie flavor. I prefer my curries thicker, but it was still tasty. The Tom Kha soup was also good, but again thinner than my favorite spots and lighter in flavor. I also noticed they had slices of ginger in the soup which leant to flavor but between picking out the ginger and bay leaves there was more pieces that could have been removed by the restaurant instead of serving them. I would go back to try more items from the menu, and would definitely get the Pad Eggplant again.

Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. The pricing is very reasonable for the portions and the flavor on the dishes is so good! I don't know what they do with their Chow Fun, but the noodles were so flavorful, soft and fluffy and didn't need any extra sauce. The Tom Kha soup is a comfort food for me and this is always a great option. I forgot to order rice with my curry, but eating it like a soup is equally satisfying. The Kao Soy was flavorful and the noodles were great with the broth and toppings. I've dined in and gotten take out and both are great experiences. The team here is so friendly and welcoming. When I order takeout, I typically order at the restaurant and wait and they always have me sit at a table and offer water or another drink while I wait.
