Stopped in the other day to give this restaurant a try. This location used to be Lucky taco (which I miss). They did a nice job renovating it. Good atmosphere and all the workers seem very friendly. The bar was jampacked and enough TVs to catch some sporting games. My wife had a margarita which was good and I tried the cocktail from the menu obi won negtoni which I have to say was maybe the worst drink I have ever had, wow is it bad. I had the cottage by which was good and we also tried the fish n chips which was really good. My daughter had the bruno burger which was also good. Menu is not that big but enough I guess. All in all good place but Im just not sure British food is for me. read more

Skip the cod/haddock in lemon butter sauce. Can't remember which fish it was, the sauce was pretty flavorless. It did come with two sides so I chose the glazed carrots and the mashed. The mashed potatoes were however, the carrots were flavorless similar to the sauce. The buttery breadcrumbs on the fish were nice, but not enough to give it enough flavor. Fish and chips are amazing. Ok service, our sever never came back to see how our dinners were. And it was not busy. Will definitely go again to try other menu options including dessert which we were too full to try. read more

I love this restaurant. It has everything. The queen in a pink suit greets you when you enter the restaurant. Decor is fun and authentic. The food Is wonderful. Audacity exceeded our expectations. We went on a Sunday night, around 7pm and we were sat immediately. The bar was full but we were seated in the dining area, but the atmosphere was still amazing. Our server Mark was incredible. He made sure my allergies were accommodated, gave amazing recommendations, and was super attentive without being overbearing. He was also super friendly and made more than just small talk. Honestly, this is the best food we've had in a really long time. My half chicken was cooked perfectly, super juicy and wonderfully seasoned. I can't even describe how incredible the honey glazed carrots were, just the right amount of sweet. My Girlfriend got the Audacity cutlet and said it was the best chicken she's ever had. Overall, Audacity genuinely surprised us with how much we enjoyed the entire experience. I brought my best friend out for her belated birthday dinner. We were blown away by the excellent service and food. Our server, Dan, was truly fantastic - attentive, helpful, funny, and friendly. His recommendations were spot on. Pam had Bella' portobella and loved it. I had the fish and chips. It was the best I'd ever had. If you like peas, don't skip the mushy peas. The name is deceiving. They're delightful! Dan talked us into trying the potato poms as a starter. We knew he could be trusted from that point forward. Cocktails were wonderful. We both had a "cloth of gold" old fashion. Wonderful. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable. It was trivia night, which added to the experience. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding that was unbelievable. There are not enough stars. three average stars, British food, I mean , not cliche, but English food? first, the draw. my fish and chips, very thick and the oil was pounded to death, and the coating wasnt the tastiest, the audacity. to have a table right in the suns path for a pleasurable 20 minutes while I could choose between retinal burns or just sitting perpendicular to the table. before being seated, when we asked about that big comfortable looking table told it wasn't on rotation so they plopped us in the WORST table in the place, the audacity. when I asked if the boddingtons was on draft, told yes, and then after waiting only then finding out it's cans. I asked about a nitro they had if it was a stout, I was told it was a nitro (i think maybe an ale? not positive) the audacity. after asking if we could have a Shirley temple for the kids drink (included) and a refill only to see 2 of them on the bill, the audacity. look, I'm havin fun with this too, not my fault they set it up this easily. just the something of some people. read more

Some of the best British pub fare I've ever had! The chicken and leak pie was so warm and comforting and the mashed potatoes served with it were so smooth and delicious. They also serve iron bru which is a unique Scottish soda. The pub is decorated very tastefully and our waitress was very kind and attentive. The food did take a while to come out but it was a busy Friday evening, so that's totally understandable. Would definitely recommend this spot! read more

We've visited twice now and have been happy with both visits. The atmosphere is comfortable and the food has been very good. They have some more unique English dishes like scotch eggs (highly recommend trying), and the bar has a decent beer selection. We've had super-friendly servers on both visits. Food: had several items. All of them are fantastic. Even the appetizers were fresh and borderline delectable. Service: fantastic. Multiple hosts on to make sure they greet you virtually immediately. We stopped in for dinner last night and the place was packed! Super cute ambiance, obviously, British pub style. We were able to be seated immediately. Server was odd and not good but we both felt that was a one off so I'm not going to get into it. I mention it to say that management was unbelievable in this situation and we both cannot wait to go back. Now let's talk about the food. He got the cottage pie and I got the pasty. The pasty, swooooon.... Perfect crust. Buttery and perfectly crisp when you cut into it and inside is this beautiful mix of sirloin and veggies. It's served with mashed potatoes that rival all mashed potatoes. And lastly, the crowning jewel, the gravy. Rich, bursting with flavor and perfectly thick. He loved his cottage pie and I of course snuck a bite and I could totally see why.. we definitely want to try the fish and chips and so much more. They sent us home with a sticky toffee pudding and even at home and warmed up it was next level good. Price wise you are getting a perfect portion for the price. Starting this off to say that the food here was delicious and we will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. This is the second weekend that Audacity has been open, so I assume they're still figuring out how to manage the volume of food orders and timing. This isn't a problem for us, but if you're an impatient diner, I would wait a few weeks before coming in so you're not frustrated like the diners next to us were. Everything we ate was delicious and well done. Our server was attentive, and the drinks were excellent. The fresh crisps brought to the table upon sitting were warm and such a nice touch. We ordered the Dick Bradsell cocktail which was delicious and a good alternative to an espresso martini. We ordered the potato poms which were creamy and paired well with the cheese sauce. The toad in the hole was much bigger than anticipated, but the lovely dense texture of the Yorkshire pudding and the sausage and caramelized onions was so satisfying. Definitely a dish for sharing. Finally we ordered the coronation chicken sandwich which was served on a buttery toasted croissant and with thick cut fries or "chips". The coronation chicken was nice and creamy with good curry flavor and the croissant added just the right texture to it. The fish and chips was light and crispy, and the fish was deliciously fresh and flaky. Having the malt vinegar right on the table was perfect. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was served with a caramel sauce and ice cream and was very good. We would have preferred it served warm typically, but otherwise it was quite good. The only suggestion I would offer is for whoever is controlling the music: tap into the deep library of British Rock and play that through the sound system rather than whatever was being played the night that we went. The place looks and feels like a British pub, but the music wasn't matching that vibe. Otherwise, congrats on the launch and we look forward to coming back! read more

We had a great experience here. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were excellent. We ordered the Toad in the Hole and Scotch Eggs as appetizers and ended up ordering a second round. I had higher hopes for Audacity. My husband and I stopped in for the first time during a week day and grabbed a couple of apps and pints. We sat at the bar and had a great time. The service was great and the scotch eggs were delicious. We opted to have dinner with friends early on Friday evening. The overall experience was disappointing. Our server was very nice and very accommodating. The fish and chips weren't fired correctly. There was too much batter on the fish and they weren't fired at a high enough temp to fully cook through. The chicken, leek, and bacon pie had to be sent back twice due to the pastry not being cooked through. The third version of the pie had the top cooked and wasn't warm throughout. I had ordered the steak pasty and it got taken away with the first serving of chicken and leek pie. My friend and I split one of each and our server was the only one who noticed that another steak pasty didn't come out. He apologized repeatedly, I appreciated the sentiment. I didn't want to be difficult or create anymore stress than was already added. The lack of customer service by the owner was apparent. Not even a visit to the table, it was conversation in passing. My piece of advice would be if you aren't meant for the front of the house, don't interject yourself. You're just not cut out for it or choose to be there, change your vibe. This is a new place in downtown Manchester. Will caveat that we went for drinks but not food. Atmosphere is not nearly as authentic as we had hoped. Born in the USA and 80s music was playing. Was hoping for more of a British theme for music. The beer selection is almost entirely American. PBR, local crafts not much in the way of British or UK beer selections. The bar was packed so it's getting a good business was just very disappointed with the drinks and feel of a place that claims to be authentically British. read more

We were at Audacity tonight (6/12). The food was great...the Scotch Egg was perfect, the fish and chips were amazing, and the cottage pie was delicious. The sticky toffee was also very tasty. They have only been open a month and the place was packed, which made the service slower than anybody wanted...staff included! Then their computer had trouble so our bill got messed up...but in the end, good food, good friends and a good time was had by all! The bugs will all get worked out. What a find! Stumbled across this place in downtown Manchester, met a friend for dinner and we were tired of the usual spots. So we tried Audacity, a British style pub on Main Street. It was very busy inside with a holiday party for one group and a full bar. A bit loud but fun. Decor is very busy with lots of British paraphernalia, soccer flags, UK flags. Dinner got off to a slow start....took a bit for service to arrive but then it was fine. Good selection of beers, my friend is more of a wine drinker, selection was more limited but she found something suitable. We started with the Scotch Egg which was yummy. She got the chicken, leek and smoked bacon pie, and I got the cottage pie (basically Shepard's pie). Both were served with brown gravy (I think everything is served with brown gravy). Both very good and definitely not the usual local food. They also have normal American type foods for the less adventurous (burgers, salads etc.) but you can get that anywhere. Will definitely return, a fun place with unique cuisine! read more
