I'm on my 3rd Audi Q5, first 2 times couldn't get help on the Audi Marin floor to even purchase! There is something strange about not getting help to buy or lease a car at all, waiting and looking for over an hour each time and asking for help. 3rd time I thought it was going to finally happen at Sonnen Audi but they can't/won't make the best deal. Nor Cal has deals with all other dealerships on the car you want, so don't bother the call around. You have to get to So Cal if you want to broker great deal on an Audi. Service used to be awesome, just did my first 10k checkup, wasn't given paperwork as usual~maybe a green initiative? They finished late Saturday but I was told my keys were with sales to pick up on Sunday, the receptionist said she had no keys or paperwork. I had the other half of my keys and needed work stuff from my car so I asked if she could see or find my car in the driveway as the service guy had texted me where he would leave it. She said no it's not there. Came to get car today, not washed or anything, didn't have any answer for why there was the confusion, they apologized but refused to look into the reason for the miscommunication. I understand that Customer Service is going away- but this was one of those last places you could find it. But I notice that my original review is gone and maybe my car is tagged to do nothing extra. Someone backed into my front bumper and left a little dent. Scheduled an appointment 3 days in advance through Audi Marin's website for them to assess and quote me what it would take to fix. I live 50 mins away and my fiancee is kind enough to take the car in for me. I get a call 10 mins before the appointment letting me know they "don't do body work" which would have been helpful to know in any of the prior 3 days - also wouldn't have wasted my fiancee's time. I couldn't recommend anyone going here. If you have the time and can make the drive, take your car to Audi Fremont - completely different experience there. Real pros. read more

2nd Service Department Update: The people who work here are just absolutely amazing! Alan was my service technician this time and he was great. I broke a plastic piece in my car earlier this year and he found the piece and replaced it for me. The wait for service isn't terrible at all (wi-fi with an open lobby to get work done). And I just love that I get my car back vacuumed and washed :) I was 15 minutes late to my appointment and they still took my car. While I was waiting, I overheard one client saying "you don't have any loaners? Come on!" and another that said "I'm on a time crunch." And the employees kept apologizing and accommodating. I was sold a used car that had frame damage. This information was not disclosed to me before I purchased the car. Under no circumstances would I ever consider doing business with this organization. At the very least this is unethical and dishonest business practice. It is not a surprise to me that I consistently had major issues with the car every couple of months. Had I been in an accident this could have been a serious concern for my safety. After learning of the situation, Audi initially offered a response that amounted to "but we were provided a clean car fax," showing the true lack of concern this organization has for its customers. The truth of the matter is that If you pull a current report of the vehicle's history you will uncover the fact that this vehicle was sold to me with structural and frame damage and I was told it did not have anything wrong with it. The only thing the initial response proves is that Audi or Marin has competency issues on accurately researching and representing the types of cars they are selling to customers. I was eager to see if Audi is capable of acknowledging the mistake and doing something to rectify it. After speaking with the General Manager of the location, he told me that he was sorry about what his business had done to me and that he'd get back to on Monday. As I expected, that was simply a lie as he had no intentions of calling me back or doing anything to rectify the situation. This business makes it a habit to not uphold their commitments starting with their GM. This business is an absolute joke. I would highly recommend taking your business anyplace else. I am considering a lawsuit, but I would rather enjoy my life without association of Audi Marin. I value my time too much to have it consumed by such an awful organization. read more

I was recently in a bad accident caused by a driver who ran a red light and T-boned my car. I had a 2019 Audi A3 and I truly think with the technology of the Audi pre-sense, saved us from what could've been fatal. With that, I know my next car will definitely be with Audi. I decided I should maybe look for something that is a little higher up...potentially the Q3. My last car was from Concord Audi(AMAZING PLACE) but I live over in the Marin area and I thought it would be convenient to go check out Audi Marin, just to LOOK at the Q3. I was approached by Zac, who I had told I got into the accident a few days prior and that I just wanted to take a look at the Q3. He seemed nice. Let us look at one, test drive... as a car dealership would. As soon as we got back, he wanted to crunch numbers and see what the cost would look like...As he went to print out what "could be my monthly payment" I looked at my sister and boyfriend and said "Why are we doing this? I told him my insurance pay-out has not been completed yet." I let him talk and show me the numbers and I said again, "I'm actually not going to be making any decisions until everything is all paid of through insurance. But I appreciate you going through letting us test drive and printing out the potential numbers." I was in disbelief that he continued to say "I would really like to sell you a car today" "You could always put the down payment on your credit card" Again, had to say no, I'm not making any decisions until insurance covers everything for my totaled vehicle." I thought that would be the end.. but he decided to go grab his manager... Not sure what the tactic was here but it was the final straw. I wanted nothing more than to run out of the dealership and never look back. I left the dealership upset that he just didn't really seem to care about the severity of the situation or listen to me when I said NO what felt like 100 times. I wish that's where it ends... I get a call THE NEXT DAY(Sunday) from Zac...remember the one I told that I am not making any decisions until my insurance goes through? "Hey just wanted to see if you had heard anything from your insurance?" ... "No, I haven't" -Me "Oh, ok.. well if you wanted to I could send you the credit application and additional paperwork to get it all going remote and we even deliver the car to your home".... What car? What paperwork? I told you NO, I am not looking to buy a car yet. He could FINALLY sense with my short answers that I probably wasn't going to go through with it.. and asks "Just keep me posted with insurance.. but when it is all said and done.. do you think you will move forward with this deal?" And I said "Honestly I am not going to." And he asked why.. and I told him "I am going to stick with the guy I've been working with at Audi Concord." And he goes "Oh wow ok that's unfortunate. I did all the work and someone else is getting paid." And hangs up on me. To say I was mortified is an understatement. He was completely unprofessional and insensitive to the situation at hand. I immediately called back and spoke with his direct manager who was embarrassed and apologetic. Hopefully Zac will be reprimanded for his actions and receive the proper training on how to treat customers/ sell a car. Bottom line.. I will not be giving my business or recommending anyone to buy a car at Audi Marin. read more

Now it has been 1 year and have not got anything from DMW. I went to DMW and verified. It turned out they never sent the paperwork in. I attempted to call them 5 times and each time, they would tell me that they would get back to me but here I am again driving without a proper DWM registration. Not only was the former manager of Sonnen sentenced for embezzlement (see article below), but this dealership does not even honor car warranties purchased in good faith. An issue with my car purchased there went ignored after numerous complaints. When it became a safety issue (several months after the warranty expired) they refused to pay for the repair. Took the car to Royal Auto Group in San Francisco where they picked up the bulk of the repair cost. Thank you to David Torkelsen of Royal Motors in SF--good will goes a long way. We had an appointment with Audi Marin and was looking forward to purchasing a new vehicle. We experienced two odd experiences. First, the salesman we were scheduled with left within the first 15 minutes while we were test driving a car (salesmen do not test drive with you due to COVID). No one approached us to let us know and we had to track someone down to explain that apparently he left because of an emergency. Secondly, we were given another salesman who just wouldn't answer our questions. When we asked a simple question about what general interior colors comes with the car, he said he'll tell us when we go back inside to his desk. We were off put by this response so we looked up the colors, which were only 4 colors, on the Audi website instead. Also, they wanted us to back up the test car into a tight space between a pole and another car. The only saving grace was the service department, who were super nice in helping us park. We ended up buying a new vehicle with upgraded options at another Audi dealership. Definitely their lost and our win. read more

I feel compelled to leave a raving review about the fantastic service I received at Audi Marin, in particular my amazing experience working with Joshua Feinberg in finance. I've done numerous leases over the years with Acura, BMW, and Toyota - and this was by far one of the easiest, most seamless experiences I have ever had. Joshua was completely transparent with all of the lease numbers (money factor, residual, etc) and put out a friendly and positive vibe from the very beginning, he even offered my daughter a snack when we first arrived. He was well dressed and professional. He repeated and confirmed exactly where I wanted to be on the price from my research on KBB and Edmunds which was a relief considering all of the stereotypes out there about dealerships taking advantage of customers based off their knowledge or lack-there-of. There was no need for any back and forth negotiation and everything matched my calculations from Leasehackr. I purchased a used car and a warranty on June 30th 2022, by early September I had a MAJOR repair, so I called the salesman who sold me the car. Not only was the repair expensive, but the car was sold to me UNSAFE TO DRIVE! The vehicle was not properly inspected! I have been driving an UNSAFE CAR FIR 2 1/2 month with a baby under 1 year old! Service caused fuel leak leading to broken engine belt and alternator. I took my car in for an 85,000 mile service and the next day my car started smoking. The technicians that worked on the car did not replace the gasket (cheap and easy!) with the fuel filter causing a big fuel leak that eventually eroded the engine belt and got in the alternator causing my car to break down on the freeway. I had the car fixed at a different shop and Audi Marin said they would refund the cost of repair but it has been over a month and they are "still working on it". Since the leak that they caused, the representative has been unfriendly and short with me, very unprofessional. Take your car to a local mechanic - this place cost me way more money and trouble than I could have imagined! read more

Audi Marin's repair/service department has the worse customer service ever. Every time I have ever called, I do not get a callback. This time it has been OVER A WEEK since I left a message about making an appointment for a repair. I usually have to call 2-3 times to get a response. When they do respond, half the time they have no or incorrect information. Once they didn't even know where my car was when we were supposedly fixing it. I LOVE my Audi, but we will never buy another Audi due to the horrible customer service we have experience in the repair/service department. read more

Purchased a used 2019 Q3 approximately 9 months ago. Purchased all the extended warranties. Came in for a recall appointment at approximately 4-5 months of ownership and the car was currently leaking water from the ceiling lights. I was told that I'd have to make another appointment to address this issue because the service department would need to keep the car for an extended period of time and I would need a loaner. While speaking to the service person 2 customers behind me reported the same issue. Next I find that my passenger side floor boards are soaked! Fast forward to today...my appointment is in 2 days and I called to make sure that I would be provided a loaner vehicle and was told that Audi no longer provides loaners and that I can rent a vehicle at my own expense. Totally unacceptable! I was told that my service advisor Elijah would call me to discuss....4 hours, no call. Called again and was told that they would escalate the call to the service manager...guess what? No call back! Called the next day and explained my situation, passed around to different service reps. Katie told me that Elijah was at lunch, service manager was out for the day, blah blah blah. I asked for the GM of the dealership and was told she'd have to get permission before I could talk to him. Called the sales department myself and asked for Mr. Hannah (GM)...waiting for call back...the saga continues! Wish me luck!! Moral of this story...Audi Marin does not give a shit about customer service and this car has some serious leakage issues!!! read more

He made himself available by text and answered my questions on his days off. We weren't sure what model to get, whether to consider a plug-in hybrid, and what trim level to get, so we had a lot of questions. Ozzy was knowledgeable about the details and didn't try to oversell us on the highest level of everything. In fact, he worked hard to find us a specific car with the exact specs we were looking for so that we didn't overpay for features we didn't want. Audi Marin..... You sure do make customers feel unappreciated post purchase. The wife and I have purchased 4 Audi's at your dealership over the past 13 years. She likes the brand, purchases the prepaid maintenance plans with each new vehicle as well as purchasing tires when needed and so on. So... The other day I noticed that the wiper blades were in need of replacing, I searched online and Audi Marin has on online parts store.... It had an advertised price of $56.55 for the front pair as well as stating they were 22% off.... Normally $72.50. So, I jump in the car and drive to the dealership. Besides there being literally no parking what-so-ever for customers.. I park at the strip mall next door and head in to the parts counter. I get to the counter and tell the gentleman what I need... He then tells me $72.50 for the pair and I said that they are advertised online for $56.55 and held up my phone showing Audi Marin's parts department website and price. He then looks at me and says that that is the online price and that if I want that price.... I have to buy it online. I stated that we've bought 4 cars here and that it seems odd not to honor the online price while at the actual parts counter. The parts department guy could have cared less to make the sale or not... Not even attempting to give a deal. Oddly... In December 2022 I walked up to the parts counter and bought the SQ5 sport exhaust tips from the same gentleman for the advertised online price.... which was almost $200 less than the "Walk-in price. Makes no sense to pick and choose which price you want to honor, It made enough sense for me to walk out, Go to AutoZone and pick up wiper blades that are superior to the OEM offering for $62 out the door and then come home to write this review. When you have a client who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at your establishment You'd think you'd want to keep them around but when you want to jerk them around over $15.95.... Forget it. We like Audi but not your dealership nor parts department. We're thinking about trading in the SQ5 for an eTron in the next few months and unfortunately for Audi Marin we are taking our business elsewhere. read more

My recent purchase at Audi Marin went well till I hit the finance department. I found the car at the price i was look for with the terms I wanted. After a 2 hour wait I met with the finance guy around 5, tired, hungry and a little annoyed. We zipped through the contract in 10 minutes in what should have taken at least 1/2 hour. I was persuaded/encouraged into purchasing the remainder of the extended warranty for an additional 20% increase to both the purchase price and my monthly payment. Not what I wanted being retired. I called my kind salesman the very next morning and explained the situation. Very understanding said he would address this with the finance guy. Never heard back even after repeated messages. I thought we were tight... I then received the curtesy e-mail. How was your experience? EXPLAINED THE SITUATION. Did you get a follow up call? NO. How may we contact you email or phone call? BOTH. No response, I was able to speak with a person in the parts department who was very kind and understanding but of little help. You could expect this from Slappy's auto sales in the Bronx but Audi in Marin? Really? I got the car back to Sonoma with the tire sensor light on to find both passenger tires were over inflated by 10 lbs. What else did they miss on their very thorough inspection? I guess I really need that extended warranty, at any price. I would have to give the detail a solid B. Customer service ends when you walk out of the door. Nothing special here folks.
