If I could give a zero I would. We purchased our Audi Q7 in May 2019 and basically had to beg Audi to even acknowledge us. Unless you are a white couple, you aren't going to get a lot of attention. This dealership is a total reflection of Marin clientele and who they want to serve. My fiancé and I are mixed race couple and when we walked in we didn't get acknowledged. We had set up appt to see car and had to wait for a while. Noticed a white couple near us get a goodie bag (Audi labeled tote bag) with their purchase, and we got nothing. They couldn't even be bothered to clean and detail an $80k car and it was incredible the stains we found in the car. Albeit, we bought certified pre-owned but were promised detailing and there was goopy stuff stuck on buttons and in crevices, weird stains on seats, and clearly no attention to detail was paid. Do not work with Rod H or Amal B. They will screw you over. read more

My wife and I had an exceptional experience with Victor and Esan at Audi Marin. Both are very professional, honest, straightforward and knowledgeable about their vehicles. On our first visit we met Victor. We sat down with him and he helped us identify the right vehicle for our family. We decided on a Q5 that was pretty much fully loaded (premium plus model, plus a few additional extras). We came back a few days later to view/drive the selected Q5. Victor was off for the day, so Esan took care of us. He owned a Q5 himself, so he was an Q5 expert. Esan spent a lot of time with us, answered all our questions and got us a great deal. After the purchase we came back a few days later and Esan spent over an hour teaching us how to setup the car settings to our preferences, also how to use the features while driving. There is so much new tech (virtual cockpit is the coolest), in the car, the training was really needed. Esan went above and beyond and it was truly appreciated. This review is for the Service Department only. It took forever for them to accommodate my recall service as parts had not become available. Finally made an appointment three weeks in advance with a confirmed request for a loaner. Got there early on the morning of my appointment, and had to wait in line for my assigned service representative, despite the other three reps having no customers whatsoever. Then was told by one of the "unavailable" reps that there were no loaners available with no regard for my scheduling my work day around this appointment and having the need for the loaner. As my rep was still busy with another customer after 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave and was told that the rep would call me shortly once he is done with his customer, in order to reschedule. It is 5 days later and still no call. Very unprofessional. read more

Don't buy the prepaid service that they try to sell you if you buy a car here. They simply can't get you scheduled. It's a total scam. They are telling me nothing available for at 6 months!!! WTF, am I supposed to not drive my car for six months if I don't want to go a half- year beyond recommended service?? Plus I've called multiple times and left messages with no call back. I am rating strictly off my experience with Shahin (I hope I spelled his name right). I have been car shopping online and at other dealerships/lots for about two months now. Shahin was the ONLY person that treated me beyond royalty, he treated me like a person. When you go to a dealership, you already know if you are telling the person helping you that you are going to pay cash for a car, they are going to "treat you like royalty". Honestly, that whole "royalty" thing is b.s.. I told Shahin flat out how much I could spend, that I didn't want to finance, and the features I expected out of the vehicle. What can I say, Shahin met EVERY requirement I had and did not press me too hard in trying to up sell me. Don't get me wrong, he suggested some of the newer cars; but he didn't waste my time making it a mission to close me on the up sell. He made the process so easy and fun. I hope this dealership does not take this review as someone who was not doing their job in converting a Used car sale into a New Car or Lease. Instead, I hope that they will learn from Shahin. After watching dealers within Sonnen Audi/VW (and elsewhere) I can honestly say that I had never received service comparable to what he offered. If you are in the market for a car period (whether it be an Audi or not) I would recommend at least calling this dealership and asking for Shahin. I was in the market for a new A3 Etron. A year ago I was talking to a salesperson, who told me that they did not have any but for a $1,000 refundable downpayment I could order one. I passed up that offer, but recently, when I was serious, I went down again, and test drove one. I was working with Mo, who has good reviews. I was set on having a red one, but they did not have any in stock. Mo reiterated that for $1,000 refundable downpayment, I could order one and have it in 4 months. I assumed that because I was ordering one, I could order any options I wanted, e.g. sport package, gray interior leather, roof racks. Mo checked around the state, (on the condition that I would pay $2,000 shipping fee) but red with gray was not available. Unknown to me, and unexplained by Mo, red with gray leather is difficult/impossible to find. I went down to see him one day with my check for $1,000. He was not there, but called me back to say that the deposit was now $5,000 and NONrefundable. When I asked why, he told me that the car was "unsellable" if I backed out. Really? I can't be the only person wanting a red/gray combination. I asked "well what happens if something catastrophic happens to me in the 4 months I am waiting?" His answer was "Well, think about it from our perspective..." That's when I went back to the office, found one online in Denver (but with black interior) in 10 minutes. Bought it over the phone, the guys in Denver could not have been nicer. The shipping charge was $700, (not the $2,000 quoted by Mo) and the added discounts that they went out of their way to find more than offset that. It's clear to me that the Audi Marin customer is NOT their priority. Not even when I was prepared to drop over $50k with them. They are looking out for themselves first and foremost. One star or two? Two because it was a fun test drive, and I was treated well when things were going their way. read more

My latest episode with Sonnen messed up on the original order on one of their most expensive SUVs, causing a new reorder & delaying my car 6 months. I should have known it was going to be a fiasco at this point but gave the brand a benefit of the doubt. Bottom line, they give customers short quick responses to get them out of the building instead of listening to issues & addressing them properly. I'm saving the other 9 additional incidents that brought me to this point of frustration. My car purchase experience at this dealership was very unpleasant. It could just be my salesman. We were buying an used Audi A4. Agreed on the price over the phone and made an appointment to visit the dealership. He hurried the test drive. My wife wants to drive back, but she felt uncomfortable asking. After I insisting on making the switch for her to drive, he agreed to it with some reluctance. He didn't know much about the car. Makes a comment that 'perhaps this car might not have a rear view camera', even though Audi has rear view camera as a standard on every car for the past many years. After we are back at the dealership, he said that he only has 30 min left before his next appointment and left us at the vehicle and disappeared. After a while I had to go chase him down. We pointed to him a missing plastic clip. He said he is going to look for it and replace it. But as we are doing the paperwork, when I reminded him of that clip, he comments something to the effect of why are you making fuss over a small plastic part. After all this, I had to just sit and wait for over an hour for the finance person. As I am killing time and checking out the cars in showroom, he comes out and tells me that I am supposed to be waiting in the seating area and not wandering around. Quite insulting. At least the finance guy was efficient and finished the paper work quickly once he started. The entire encounter was unfriendly, condescending, both rushed and delayed at the same time. I do not feel their service level measures up to Audi standards. Later on, I find that the sales person made many false assertions including one regarding missing vehicle code. I did not want to deal with them anymore and am looking for alternatives to get it fixed. read more

Our experience with this company was terrible. I was going to purchase a 70,000 SQ5 from the dealership; I had negotiated the price already and had an appointment to come back and sign the purchase docs. I had made an appointment with the sales rep, Stephanie, and made it clear that all paperwork needed to be completed (they had all necessary docs two days earlier) within a certain time period as I had other important obligations that day. I arrived check in had expecting to have a first rate experience to go along with the high quality, expensive car I was buying. That did not happen. The finance staff hadn't begun to process my paperwork and had absolutely no regard for my time or the fact that I had set an appointment. The finance people did, however, come out to pitch a lease Vs a sale of the car, misleadingly suggesting that a lease would "save you money". Anyway, Stephanie did her best to keep me waiting, seemingly incapable of getting her finance people to get me out the door. She offered me tomato's, cheese, etc. In the end, after waiting for some time, I was running quite late for my other obligations and the finance rep presented me with paperwork that had numerous errors. Ugh! The finance people seemed to be laughing and kidding around the entire time- not professional or serious at all. In the end, I finally just couldn't wait any longer and walked out. I told Stephanie I had such a poor experience at their dealership that I worried the after purchase experience would be equally lacking as I had read in many Yelp reviews. Stephanie said she'd get her GM involved, but I never heard from him. Obviously Audi Marin is on such a financial ride that they don't care about an individual car buyers experience. Stay away from this dealership if you care about the quality of your experience. read more

Just updating this. After waiting the month for the $2K hitch install, the hitch started to loosen and became unusable and unsafe around Oct. I called and left messages at Audi Marin and never got a response. When I finally got in for tightening it, no explanation was given as to why the hitch wasn't properly secured from the start. To reiterate: this place charges over $2K to bolt a hitch to your car...and they can't even get that right. Avoid them at all costs. read more
