Leasing my new A3 was simple and smooth. The sales woman, Stephanie Green, was very cool and helpful. She patiently explained to me the benefits of leasing over financing a used vehicle, and took me for a spin - I was sold, after having driven Hondas and Toyotas for the past 20 years. I've never leased before, and as far as I can tell all went well. (I hope I'm not ignorantly missing something, though I don't think I am as far as I can tell!) My time was cut short and I had to leave quickly after signing the lease papers, so she came down the next day to my office in Albany and spent 45 minutes with me showing me details about operating things on the dashboard. From the very first email to the thank you note to express appreciation for closing the deal, Amal has been courteous and professional. My wife and I have been shopping for a vehicle on and off for the past year, and have visited numerous luxury car dealerships around the bay area. Our experiences with the sales staff from those dealerships range from pleasant but mediocre to disrespectful in a few unfortunate instances. Something we truly appreciated in Amal is his attentiveness to our needs and his ability to not only listen to, but also address all of our concerns, one by one. Probably one of THE BEST car buying experiences I've ever had. Was car shopping all day, went to a few different dealerships in Marin and finally landed on Audi Marin. I'm a young guy, and I was with a few buddies of mine, so usually salespeople don't take me seriously or give me the time of day. Nobody was pushy, and when I asked Stephanie Green a question about a car on display, she was quick to answer, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly and had a great conversational personality. By far the best car salesperson I've ever dealt with. She wasn't pushy, and instead of trying to upsell me, she worked hard to find the right car for me - and for my friends. She was quick to pick up the fact that I had to get approval from the boys before making a buying decision. We test drove 3-4 cars, and instead of acting inconvenienced, she was happy to oblige. I give him TEN STARS! Amal is very personable, the man never stops smiling, and it's a real smile. I'm extemely disappointed in the customer service at Audi Marin. My car has been there for over 2 weeks and I have no idea about the status on the repairs. I've had no follow up phone calls and I've been trying for a week to get someone on the phone. All you get is a phone tree of options that take you into a voicemail and no one calls back. We also contacted the Audi Customer Care Center and got nothing but lip service. There's been no follow up from them as promised either. Overall I have to say this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. That says a lot because I'm ALWAYS the guy that gets stuck doing the negotiating for my female friends for their auto purchases, so in essence I've bought a lot of cars and it's never a pleasure. Now back to my experience at Sonnen Audi -- initially I must admit I was turned off when I first called because no one answered the phones (I later saw how busy they were). I tried calling a few more times before I got ahold of someone. The first guy took my info and never called me back. I tried one last time and got ahold of Nathan Proctor (Internet Sales Mgr.). He was super helpful and even went out of his away to help me arrange transportation from San Francisco to Marin. Long story short, I bought the car! To be honest, I probably purchased 1 of the cheaper cars on their lot yet Nathan was super helpful and friendly from beginning to end, he offered me snacks and refreshments while I waited and tried his best to speed it along. The entire process took about 2 hours on a busy Saturday and I'm super satisfied. Even a few days after purchasing my car I texted Nathan to ask a question and while most sales guys would have ignored you at this point he happily responded. I called Audi Marin to bring my Audi4 in for a 20k service and for a recall that was issued. I live an hour away from the dealership and was told that a Service Advisor would call me to discuss the length of the appointment. I never received a call so I called yesterday (one day before) and told the receptionist that I needed to know how long the appointment would take as I live one hour away and need to let my work know. She seemed put out by this request and told me a Service Advisor would call me. I have never heard from anyone and my appointment was at 11:30 today. I decided not to go since I had no idea of the the length of the appointment and you would think they would have called to ask me why I did not show up and I STILL have heard nothing - 2 hours after my appointment. I have had WAY BETTER service at Ford and Honda and am disappointed to be neglected like this from Audi Marin. I bought my car at the Audi Rocklin and received expectional service there during my purchase and at the 10k appointment. I guess I will have to make the long drive there!! read more

This review is in regards to Mo Bonakdar in sales. He's the type of salesman to be very helpful and caring, right up until after you purchase your vehicle. As soon as vehicle was purchased, it is difficult to reach him regarding issues or concerns. Even when I did get him on the phone, he was very careless and rude. Did not show the slightest concern for my issues, and even blamed me for problems that were unrelated. I really would go on about how bad Mr. Bonakdar has made my experience, but I'm sympathetic towards the dealership that is represented in this manner. The salesman (Esan Geroux) was knowledgeable, low pressure and an all around pleasure to work with. His manager (Nathan) was also low pressure and is a good guy. Probably needed full price to pay for the new building with tons of empty space. Not to mention as a female executive (PhD as well) I got the impression they wanted to talk to the "man" of the family. This whole operation stinks. I wouldn't buy a car from them or recommend them.
