The 1 star reviews here should be taken with a grain of salt, as new car buyers are so often fickle and difficult (as the reviews here clearly demonstrate, in my view). Like many, I thought the only Audi purchase options in town are the two dealerships controlled by that same family that owns the Minnesota Twins. My visit to Carousel was so entirely disappointing that I was considering a purchase of a luxury product from Toyota (Lexus) or Honda (Acura). My brother ( a five-time purchaser of an Audi product) urged me to reconsider and reminded me of the new dealership in Richfield. I let my fingers do the walking on the internet and I learned a good deal about the Audi Richfield and its impressive owner. One of the things I most appreciated about Audi Richfield was the very fact that I wasn't pounced upon by salespersons the minute I walked into the door and was instead allowed the opportunity to browse inventory by myself. Of course, I had done all of my homework before arriving at the dealership, understood its new and used car inventories and, being an informed purchaser, preferred to review product by myself. When I was ready to discuss options and to test drive product, I received fantastic support and advice from their team. My salesperson, Norb Franxman, was a true gentlemen who immediately understood that I would arrive at a purchasing decision on my own and did not need to be goaded into it. He quickly had vehicles brought down from the third floor to the parking lot and even agreed to drive one of the selections with me. He was a true partner in the process. I then negotiated the trade-in of my hot hatch (Ford Focus ST) with the used car manager, Dave, and again was treated with honest discussion over its value and my option to sell it on the street this spring. In the end, I knew I received a fair trade-in value for the car. I finalized the paperwork with the finance manager, Don Grundman, a veteran transplant from Motorwerks in Bloomington, and he walked me through the options for after-care with no sales pressure whatsoever. He was candid about the dealership's start-up challenges and the difficulty of being the first upstart in this metropolitan area for Audi since the original franchises were awarded many years ago. I found the honesty refreshing, selected a couple of after-care products and walked out with a brand new A6 Premium Plus. Couldn't be more pleased with the afternoon or Audi Richfield. To quote Mr. Franxman, "Audi offers the luxury of Mercedes Benz, the performance of BMW and the reliability of Honda". Audi Richfield will become the clear alternative in Minneapolis-St. Paul for the purchase of something from this great automobile lineup. read more

This dealership fell far short of expectations when I purchased a certified pre-owned Audi with an Audi exclusive special paint color. I bought the vehicle sight unseen from 18+ hours away, relying on their assurances of its "showroom" and "immaculate" condition, and a clean Carfax. Unfortunately, the reality proved to be quite different. Roughly a month after receiving the car, as the initial heavy wax coating began to fade, the true state of the paintwork became apparent. What I anticipated as minor clear coat issues were revealed to be far more significant upon a professional detailer's inspection. The findings included several body panels containing filler, a clear coat respray that extended onto window seals, widespread light and dark paint, overspray in inappropriate areas, and peeling clearcoat in various areas. To get a second opinion, I brought the car to a reputable local body shop. Upon learning the vehicle was certified pre-owned, they expressed surprise at the "garbage" quality of the previous bodywork and opted not to undertake any repairs. Seeking a resolution, I contacted the sales general manager via email and followed up with a phone call. The response I received was dismissive, combative and rude. The GM stated they would not take any action and suggested I should have visited the dealership before purchasing--a suggestion that conflicted with their initial description of the vehicle's condition. When I mentioned involving Audi corporate, the sales GM ended the call. Subsequently, Audi corporate intervened and requested a response from General Manager Joe Boscco within two business days. To date, I have not received any communication from Mr. Boscco or his team. It's concerning to note that I read another review from three months ago with a similar complaint for hidden paint/bodywork, which also appeared to remain unresolved by the dealership. I advise potential buyers to exercise caution when considering any used vehicle from this dealership. My experience left me with an overpriced car that was not as represented. read more

It is strange, that the same dealership that treated me like royalty from start to finish, can also receive single stars for ratings. How can one explain that ? I know that I cannot explain it. I originally was looking for a pre-owned A5, with most available options. I drove to see it in February of this year. From the moment I walked into the dealership, I was made to feel very special. Melissa Irwin greeted me, and I explained to her that I was the person that called and had spoken to her about the pre-owned A5. She asked if I had seen the new 2018 A5, and I told her that I had only seen a couple of photos, and that I was not impressed by those photos. She asked if I would like to see one for myself, and compare the actual car to the photos that I had seen. She took me to a brand new A5, that was in the middle of the showroom. It was love at first sight ! And Melissa knew it too ! She then took me upstairs to the pre-owned vehicles, to compare the 2016 model with the 2018 model. Both are beautiful vehicles. However, for 2018, Audi really outdid themselves in every way: Exterior, interior and the electronics (some of which I am still learning how to use) ! I told Melissa that I would need some time to think about it, since my "Plan A" to purchase the pre-owned 2016, now looked to be threatened by the newer "Plan B". But I was not pressured in the least at any time. After a few days, I called Melissa, and told her that I was definitely interested in the 2018 that she had shown me. It was the best auto buying/leasing experience that one could imagine. I also met Rob Dahnke, John Giese and Joe Bosco at that time, along with Don Grundman and Josh. All are great people to know and to do business with. I HIGHLY recommend Audi Richfield. And in ~ 2 1/2 years, I will be buying or leasing an Audi from them again. Today I picked up my recently purchased 2022 Turbo Blue Audi S5 with 50% tinting. I purchased my vehicle from Audi Richfield, which was my first experience in buying a car from them. The entire process from start to finish was fantastic and a big shout out goes to Wesley Ross, the sales representative I had the pleasure to work with. I know from personal experience that working through the sales process can be a mixed bag and largely depends on the quality of the sales specialist you work with which is often random when walking into a dealership for the first time. This was the case for me having never been to Audi Richfield. As it turned out, I was very fortunate to have been met by Wesley when I arrived at the dealership looking to test drive the S5. Wesley was a first rate gentlemen who made sure my experience at Audi Richfield was the best it could be. He listened carefully to all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about all the features and technology that the S5 offered. You never felt like he was pushing you to buy the car but instead wanted to make sure all my questions and concerns were being properly addressed so I could make an informed decision as nice cars like the Audi S5 are expensive but well worth the money. I went to this dealership to look at a used vehicle they had that I really liked. I was unsure about going here, being that I was not purchasing an Audi, and cannot afford an Audi. I was treated so great! I wound up loving the vehicle I had stopped to check and, the paperwork went so smooth. I was done in about 2 hours. The vehicle was great, but after only 4 days, I had an issue where on my way to work it began to overheat. I called and spoke to Joe, the General Manager, and he said to bring it by and someone would take a look at it. I brought it in the next morning, and they gave me a loaner vehicle. I heard from my salesman, Norb that it was a blown hose, and it would be about $500 to repair, but since I had just bought it (used with no warranty mind you), that they would split the cost of the repair with me. This not being an Audi vehicle, they had to have it sent somewhere else for the repair, so it took a little over a week. I went yesterday and picked it up. It looks and runs great again. They washed the exterior, and it looks as good as the day I bought it. When I inquired about the bill amount, no one knew what I was talking about. I spoke to my salesman today, and he said that they would be covering the cost of the repair! I was very pleasantly surprised by this. I cannot thank them enough for this. I've been a BMW buyer for some time, currently had an X5 with a V8 for towing our boat. Looking to buy a convertible I test drove the BMW 2 and 4 series. I decided to compare to Audi. Yep, I drove the A3 and A5 which totally surprised me what a great ride and the quietness of the A5 was to drive! Going from a v8 to 4 cylinders is quite a change...for me. After a lot of hesitation I decided to test drive the Audi S5 a 6 cylinder. I found a red one (love the color) at the Richfield lot. My daughter and son in law came with, both are car enthusiasts! We walked in and Brad Davis greeted us took us on a ride in the S5!! The car was loaded with options and Brad spent time with us driving and going over options. I knew before walking in I was buying this car it had everything and more than I wanted. I knew what my car was worth from two dealerships. He gave me a very fair price for my car!! After driving for a week, I set up time with Brad to go over the options and the questions I had while driving it! He's so professional and knows so much about cars! This car has a lot of options unknown to me but Brad took the time get me comfortable with everything!! I love my car and I can't Thank Brad Davis in sales enough for such a great experience! Little late in making this review but I typically like to wait to feel something out before I invest the time in commenting further on it. I purchased a 2015 A3 Certified Pre-Owned from Audi Richfield in March of 2018. I worked with Chrisette Bany and had a super easy and low-pressure buying experience and I would highly recommend her and the team at Audi Richfield! Since then the car has had minimal issues and has rekindled my trust in the brand, especially coming from an older Audi bought 3rd party which was quite the opposite situation. This dealership is noticeably better than the other two in the metro and I don't have to ask to be helped or feel as though my presence is a hindrance to anyone. I drive 30 minutes just to go to this dealer when I could drive 10 minutes to be at the Minneapolis one...Very friendly staff and much more understanding of frustrated or confused customers and willing to make accommodations! Scheduled an appointment at Audi Richfield for S8 turbo screen recall. Arrived and car check completed, no leaks. Work was completed as scheduled and by the time reached home coolant low alarm was on. Added coolant, added coolant again, added coolant again and again over 1500 miles. Took the car back to dealer and they stated I needed a water pump and thermostat housing, $2400. Done. Pickup the car...(20 degrees outside) no heat. Went around the block and back to service. Advisor stated they didn't have anyone to look at it and bring it back next week. I asked for a loaner vehicle....no. I had someone else repair the heat issue my simply opening the air bleed in front of the windshield. Fixed. So where else to I have air trapped, turbo cooling, intercooler? IDK. And did I really need a water pump or was the leak due to the recall service? Poor Audi service in any regard. And I'll be posting this on all my forums. Thanks. read more

Audi Richfield provided a great experience with our recent purchase of a new Q7. Everyone here is friendly with a laid-back, yet professional, attitude. Our salesman, Mike Dahl, is the absolute best! He's very knowledgeable about the brand and really acts as more of a "consultant" than a salesman. He was very thorough in his education of the new car's features and even called a few days after I took delivery to see if there was anything else he could do to be helpful. They were very competitive with their pricing and the actual sales transaction with Don Grundman was a breeze. My wife commented, "this is the easiest it's ever been to buy a car!", and I absolutely agree. The box of cookies we received from them a few days later was an added bonus. I'm on my second car purchased from this dealership. Hands down, the best in MN! Shortly after the pandemic, I went in to buy a new car and the guy basically talked me out of it saying that the deals are terrible. Went back to the same guy a couple years later and walked out with a new car. I appreciated his honesty. Had one of my cars serviced at Audi MSP where they tried to charge me after the fact for an included service and then also told me a bunch of things wrong with the car that needed to be fixed for about $1,200. Took the car to Richfield for second opinion and they told me I didn't need any of the suggested work. One of my cars was in the shop for over a month (new engine) and they regularly communicated updates to me throughout. I've had Audis for close to 30 years and Richfield is the only dealer I will trust in this state. read more

I came across this location (prior, was only aware of St. Paul and Minneapolis) while searching for a used A4 to replace my car due to an unfortunate winter accident. This location had a model with the features I was looking for. Mike did a great job helping with the purchase. A couple weeks later I was noticing noise from the rear tires. Weather and road conditions have been poor recently (even during the test drive), this was the first opportunity I was driving the car on clean roads. I was offered pricing options on new or used tires to replace the ones on my car, which I felt were very fair. I look forward to building a relationship with this location, and eventually purchasing a new S4/6 in the future.... hopefully under better personal circumstances! I highly recommend Audi Richfiield. I bought a used Audi Q5 and the whole process of buying my Audi went really well. It is the first Audi I've owned. Michael Marek was my sales rep and I would give him five stars too. He's knowledgeable, professional, and really great to work with. He found exactly what I was looking for in the inventory they had on site. The inventory is stored inside so there's no ice and snow to scrape off or walk through. My Audi doesn't have a scratch or dent on it and the interior looks brand new as well. Their price was fair and my trade in allowance was a fair price. I just purchased a new A4 with a manual transmission and couldn't be happier with the car and the dealership. I stopped at the dealership just intending to look at their cars and to see if they had a manual in stock. They had one and it was exactly the color I wanted with options that I now can't live without. They offered me a very fair trade in value on my new Acura (which I couldn't stand because it was an automatic) and a very fair price on the car. In fact, so fair that I couldn't pass it up. They offered a very fair price for my trade-in and a reasonable/fair price on my new auto. I was especially impressed with Brenda Hienkel as my main contact during the process. Terrible experience with Audi Richfield management. We had agreed on a price for them to purchase our vehicle, brought the car in, spent an hour signing paperwork, signed off on EVERYTHING. Got a call from the manager the next day (who had looked at the car already) and he said "sorry we just can't take it, I didn't realize it needed brakes". 3 hours of my life I'll never get back, what an absolute joke of a customer experience to go back on your word like that. We've had 8 Audis in our family and my husband worked at another location for 8 years. If that's how they treat us, RUN! read more
