I had a great customer service experience until I didn't. I ordered a higher end SQ5 from Audi of Seattle, under a recommendation from a friend, and had a great experience at first. I picked out the car and features and I put down my deposit. Then I waited about 2.5 months to get the car (it actually came almost a half month earlier that excepted!). I show up and inspect the car and start getting through the paperwork. Everything is good. I am pre-approved on my financing, etc. But then when they ask how I want to pay my down payment I hand them my credit card. And they said that they are limited to only $2k for down payments. And I asked why that was and if that was reflected ANYWHERE in the paperwork that they provided or that I had looked at earlier. They said it was because of the 3% fee associated with it. I said no problem I will pay the fee. I had done this on my last two cars and the points from it was amazing so it was worth it to me to pay the extra fee. Then they said it was because of my loan. I called my bank and they said that the down payment has nothing to do with my financing loan as all the money for the down payment goes to the dealership and that there are no regulations or laws restricting me from using a credit card. Then they said it was just a policy and they wont dot it. I asked, "If I buy this car, and get to a point and it needs $30k in Maintenace. Would I be able to pay that to the dealership with my credit card?" They said of course. But they still refused to take my down payment. So not only did they go through a several long month process to order this for me, but never said anywhere that they don't accept credit cards and there is no law or regulation against it. They just don't want to. So be careful or they might just have a new policy that blocks you from getting your vehicle. I feel bad for the salesperson that lost his commission because his management isn't customer service oriented. I do not recommend as they have arbitrary policies to make things more difficult for their potential customers. read more

Worst car buying experience of my life. I wish I could give zero stars. They committed to a delivery date of 100 days, missed it, then offered no apology, recourse, and accused me of lying when I reminded them of it and asked them to offset some other fees totally $300 to compensate us for the inconvenience, which they refused. My wife and I were treated very disrespectfully by the team throughout the entire purchase process. After finally agreeing to still pay for these fees, they made us sit in the showroom for an hour and a half before we could actually sign any documents. This review covers my experience with the Service department at Audi of Seattle. We own a 2015 Audi A5 S-line Premium Plus with the alcantara sport seats. We also purchased Audi Care with said vehicle to cover it under a longer period of time should something go wrong. As far as the car's reliability goes it has been perfectly fine. However, there has been a problem with the driver's side seat jolting back and fourth under acceleration and braking. We deduced that the seat bottom is loose and it jolts back and fourth. This is documented fairly well on Audi forums, but isn't really a "known issue," that the dealers want to address. The first time we brought it in, the issue was immediately dismissed as normal behavior without them even looking at it. They were very condescending, and stated that the "seat has millions of different settings and adjustments that the customer can make and that is the reason for the seat movement." That answer was unacceptable. They performed maintenance covered under the Audi Care and give the car back. Low and behold seat issue continues. We bring it in for the next service, and mention the seat again. They say again It's normal, but we'll look at it. They return the car having done nothing about the seat so the issue still persists. THIRD time bringing the car in for the SAME problem as well as a recall. The service advisor brings out the "shop foreman," who starts going on and on about how he has worked for Audi for over 25 years, and that they all have some play in the seat. The shop foreman then proceeds to demonstrate on another customer's older S5 that was sitting there for service. He indicated that "the seat moves way more than your car does." What he failed to recognize was that the S5 had a VASTLY different seat design, and was older so therefore it was no surprise the seat had more play in it. He was also quite rude, and lacked any customer service skills whatsoever. And they still weren't understanding of the actual issue, and NOT ONCE did they offer to go out on a test drive with us to duplicate the issue and see the problem. Also, when they returned my car to me they had said that they removed the drivers seat and reinstalled it, and that it should've been resolved. Not only was it not resolved but it was now 10 times worse, and now the seat back had considerable more play in it than it did before. Honestly, with this experience I considered getting rid of the car because of the less than average service experience I've had with it. I've had better experience at a Kia dealership, and they aren't a premium brand like Audi is. That is saying A LOT. Fast forward to a few months later. I have been in contact with Audi of America's customer service to get the issue resolved. They said they were documenting the case and would follow up with Audi of Seattle to see if my concerns could be better addressed. The problem was getting an appointment with a loaner at Audi of Seattle. At the times I looked they were more than a month out, and I don't have time to keep returning to their service department for their incompetence. So, finally I scheduled a service appointment for Audi of Bellevue. Not only was it easier to get an appointment with a loaner, but the dealership is way nicer, and has a nicer waiting area. The staff from the moment I pulled into the service bay was courteous, kind, welcoming, and evident of a premium brand. I had mentioned my dissatisfaction briefly with Audi of Seattle, but I did not mention that I had been in contact with Audi of America. The comparison between Audi of Seattle and Audi of Bellevue was like night and day. The service advisor first off apologized about the issue I was having, and aligned with me too. Something that NEVER happened at Seattle. Second he compared the driver's seat with the passenger seat. He mentioned that they both have movement, so we told him that it's not just that movement, but it was more of a jolting under acceleration or breaking. He immediately summoned his shop foreman, who promptly went out on a test drive with me in my car and he immediately discovered the problem. They gave me no issues, no attitude, and above all were polite, professional, and delivered the level of customer service evident of a premium brand. They ordered the part for me, and it will be here in a few weeks, and it will be taken care of under warranty as it should be. There will be a separate 5 star review for Audi of Bellevue, but lets get to our bottom line. Bottom Line: Audi of Seattle is one of the WORST dealerships I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The dealership even after a remodel feels cramped, and doesn't really offer the amenities of what a premium brand should offer. This dealership tarnishes the reputation of the Audi and the Volkswagen brands, and frankly changes need to be made. If i was to just rate some of the employees such as Tony at the front desk i would give him 5 stars, but since i'm reviewing my overall experience with what is supposed to be a premium Automobile and the expectations that come with paying for a higher price car and service; i am forced to drop this to 2 stars and will never look at owning an Audi again. Just went through the shock of finding out my A-4's engine that ONLY had 70k miles on it was damaged to the point that it wasn't sensible to pay the amount of money it would cost to repair. ONLY 70K miles, unbelievable. What made the situation even worse is that i was forced to pay for the regular service/ check up my car was in the shop for at that time, while paying EXTRA for what was supposedly a full engine diagnostic to find out what was wrong with my car. So essentially i paid Audi's premium price for a check up even though my car was not fit to drive. I drive my car minimally and have only had it serviced by Audi so you can imagine why i am still wondering how a premium car, maintained in-house is now not drivable on top of paying for $700+ to walk away from it, not communication or any type of proper customer service or follow up from Audi at all. Tony and many of you at the desk, you have my 5 stars for doing what you could and being great every time I go in; Audi, i feel like you have a ways to go for 100% customer satisfaction. The staff in the service department are efficient and extremely professional. I use this service center for all my repair and maintenance needs. There was one time last year when the wrong tire was ordered for my car and I had to wait another week while driving on my spare, and it was inconvenient. Vladimir decided that before any sort of real introduction or before seeing any cars in any capacity, we should sit down and give up all of our info. Then, when we again informed him after thorough interrogation that we wouldn't be buying a car today no matter what, as we had already said multiple times that we were starting our comparison process and we're at least two months out from purchasing anything, he clammed up. We asked if we could see the vehicle we'd come to see and he asked if we'd done any online research (of which we'd done tons and that was the only reason we were here in the first place). I write this to warn any potential Audi buyers out there!!! I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience with Audi Seattle and Audi Lynnwood. They sold me an Audi CERTIFIED PREOWNED A4 which had been in a serious car accident!!! 1 - the accident did not appear on the CarFax 2 - the Service department at Audi Seattle discovered the damage and called to TELL ME it had been in an awful accident. I have since had this confirmed by other auto mechanics as well. 3 - when i asked how they could possibly CERTIFY a car that had serious damage from an accident, they avoided the question and said I should refer to the CarFax. Interesting that THEIR auto mechanics at the shop could see obviously that it had serious damage but the same damn mechanics who CERTIFY the car opted not to mention it. Seriously disappointing. I will never buy another Audi, especially not another one from Audi Seattle or Audi Lynnwood. read more

Originally made a review on 8/13/2017 where I outlined a disaster of an experience with Audi Seattle following the purchase of a CPO 2015 A3. This is an update. I was dealing with shuddering in my transmission, the car would jump and skip when in reverse or going forward from a stop when letting off the brake pedal, excessive vibrations on the throttle pedal, a grinding noise that was very loud at freeway speeds, and vibrations in the steering wheel. On top of a few other issues I listed. Donald eagerly offered to squeeze into my schedule, being a full time worker and student not located too close to Seattle. He offered to meet me at my home and drop me off a loaner. We coordinated and he brought with him his shop foreman to verify my issues. Immediately his foreman recognized what I was talking about so we made the swap and went on our way. A few days later I was told the shuddering was due to bad clutch packs in my transmission and told that the grinding and vibrations I was hearing were wheel bearings gone bad. So they replaced both and fast forward a few weeks I get my car back. The car is delivered to my home and I didn't drive it until that evening to go to the store. Immediately I notice the grinding and vibrations are actually WORSE than when I gave the car to them and I called Donald right away before even arriving at the store. He was frustrated and wanted to get this taken care of right away. Again, we coordinated and made the swap for a loaner and after a few days of not hearing anything I contacted Donald who contacted Joe, the service manager in charge of my vehicle. Joe called me and told me that it was the other wheel bearing and they were going to road test it. More time passes and I am told that this didn't rectify the issue. After a few more days again, I am told that it is actually my gearbox and it needs to be replaced. They place the order and fast forward about three weeks and I get my car back. When I got my car back I notice before driving it that two of my wheels have chips on them (I took insane amounts of pride in having perfect wheels when I bought the car, and only had it for about a week or less before they took it, now we are two months in or so.) On top of this theres a prescription pill bottle under the driver seat for one of the service workers, ALL of my sound system settings are turned all the way up on my B/O sound system, when I purposefully turned them all the way down before giving my car to them, the radio stations are changed, my bass now rattles, I have this 6 inch long deep scratch on my rear passenger quarter-panel above the fuel door, grease stains on my interior that to this day don't come off, and plastic food/drink wrappers in my cupholder, my wheels had heavy brake dust build up and and black spots that took forever to wash off, on top of all this, someone at service tried to clean the wheels specifically knowing there was a lot of brake dust, they actually rubbed off a lot of my wheels top coat! I know this because my car is always labeled as DO NOT WASH because I care for my car myself in terms of cleaning exterior, so seeing the scratches, the top coat removed, and bristle marks, it was clear someone tried to hide the damage. I immediately contacted Donald about this to all he could do was apologize. About two weeks pass because I had to leave the country for some family business but I get back, I drive the car for the first time since they brought the car back to me and while the grinding sounds are better and my transmission isn't shuddering, the electrical's in my dash center console flicker at least once a day, my throttle pedal vibrations are actually worse and I fear its the suspension having issues. I repeatedly mentioned this but was told everything is good. add that my sunroof was being extremely creaky now, when it wasn't before, and I was getting a crunching sound from my front suspension going through the ramps of my school parking garage, which wasn't happening before they took it last. Donald took the car again and had it for about two weeks before telling me the sun shade (which wasn't an issue at all) was too lubed up and needed replacing. Right. Then they said the suspension was all good. I get the car back and the shade doesn't close now, its broken, grease all over my headliner, my vehicle check report stapled to my RO said (Loose front strut on suspension) and is marked as yellow, nobody mentioned this before. My car is actually now MUCH worse than it was before. Donald was only able to offer an apology. Though he was mortified they messed this up. Donald is a godsend he deserves a raise even after all of this, but I've had my car maybe a month of the 3+ since I bought it and almost every time the car is in someway worse than when they took it. Theres no excuse for such negligence and carelessness with a customers car. You would think they would be more careful. Please do not go here for a car. I wish Donald was @ Bellevue Audi. read more

I worked with Joe Seymour to buy a Q5 and really it could not have been a better experience. First, Joe needs to be commended on his patience and listening skills because it was a long dance. Joe ran the numbers after my initial test drive and I left in a state of sticker shock. The easiest way to get into a vehicle was by leasing but for several reasons I did not want to do that. Since I could not afford a new one I was looking for a Certified Pre-Owned with low miles. Plus it had to be white with tan or brown interior. He embraced the challenge and emailed me weekly with his progress. A month later I happily drove off in a white 2017 Q5 with chestnut brown interior and less than 5300 miles on the odometer with a full factory warranty. What was great about Joe was that he was diligent and thorough but never pushy. The Service Department is also terrific. I dropped in with a wiper problem and they swapped out the wiper blades and had me on my way in under 10 minutes. I recommend Audi Seattle and Joe Seymour without reservation! read more

This review is long overdue. I will start by saying I chose NOT to get my brand new Audi from University after 2 visits to their dealership in which the arrogance of their sales staff was unbearable. I have a hard time believing the positive reviews on this site. I went to University Audi on 2 occasions to discuss ordering a new Q5. Both times I felt totally looked down upon (perhaps young female gets that on a regular basis there?) and judged on the basis of what I was driving at the time (my Mazda from university days). And I quote "oh, you drive a Maaaaazda?" After ditching University Audi and purchasing in Bellingham (where they were MUCH more professional), I felt like re-enacting the scene from "Pretty Woman" where Julia Roberts returns to the snooty store with arms loaded with bags and says "BIG MISTAKE" to the missed opportunity of good business. They missed not only a new Q5 3.0T sale, but a custom order with Audi Exclusive paint color, and upgrades. I would point out to University Audi that Seattle is loaded with very wealthy people who don't look 'rich', and who may not drive fancy cars, so their judging nature is really poorly placed in this city. I'm pretty sure they had no concept that I'm a young professional (surgeon), and that countless people who work with me it the OR are extremely aware of my dissatisfaction. Sorry for the lost business from the UW medical community, University Audi. Lastly, I would add what fueled my review to be posted today, just over a year after purchasing my Q5 elsewhere. I was unfortunately involved in a small fender-smash during the snow storm a few weeks ago and needed bumper work. Following the repair, I needed to go to Audi to have the parking camera/assist re-activated. The collision shop called University Audi to arrange this (collision center was going to pay for this part of repair). The service guy asked the lady at the collision center if she was planning to pay "with her good looks", and then proceeded to tell her they were busy, and that she should try "Lazy B" (ie, Barrier). That level of disrespect to fellow colleagues in the business and to other stores of your own brand is outrageous. Audi should be ashamed that people this arrogant work for them. read more

First and foremost. Stop with the cockiness, stop judging people and get your customer service in check. I had a very poor customer service experience today with a simple request which was to get a front head light bulb replaced. First I was charged $60 in labor to replace the light bulb when it was replaced at Barrier Audi in the past for free with my other Audi A5. It took two hours and I come to find out the headlight still does not work after I left the dealership. The service manager Graham Campbell insisted on charging labor, which I am fine with but at least test the car before you release the car. Completely wasted my time. Also I don't appreciated his sense of humor, it's pretty pathetic. I would not recommend this dealership for service or to purchase an Audi. 10/05 read more

If you want good customer service do not visit University Audi. I have had body work done TWICE and with the same results: they are never on time, and do not provide an area for adequate inspection. When I picked my car up today they didn't even expect me to look at the repair! They bring the car to you under an awning which has NO LIGHTING. My car was delivered wet and when I asked for a rag to wipe it off so I could see the repair they looked at me like I was crazy. And the repair was sub par. I thought it was just me, but my brother has had the same experience. There are NO WOMEN in the service department except for a very young woman who is the cashier and offered to make me a latte. The rest are men and they greet you like a line of fullbacks. If you're aggressive enough to elbow your way through the cluster you will get some attention. But if not, you will wait indefinitely. And if you're a woman, they speak to you like you're retarded. If there was a way to give this business less than one star I would. read more

I would have wrote this review sooner but it dawned on me that I never rec'd a follow up call from the supervisor.. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want your stuff stolen from your car. I brought my car here back in October 2014 for my 50k service and found out that my *discontinued* Seahawks beanie was missing.. I keep my car clean and clutter-free so I know EXACTLY what was in there when I left it. I brought this to the technician's attention and he said to me "I know my guys and can guarantee that no one took it".. ok, so tell me why it's not there?! He told me he would go back and ask the crew, "check" the garbage can, etc. Duh of course no one is going to own up to STEALING something.. that would be ridiculous. I was beyond pissed off and was given the director of service's phone number to follow up on Monday (I came on a Saturday). In the end, they "checked" the cameras and couldn't find it (again, your crew probably knew where all the blind spots are anyways), and they offered to replace the beanie. ---- I had put this on hold since I had to find another beanie I wanted and I also had traveling plans. -- Time has passed, totally forgot about this but there was no follow up! Honestly, it's not even about the beanie, it's about safety and trust and they've lost my service forever. I will never come back here, even if they were the last Audi dealership in WA!!!! read more

It has been a month since I sent this email to the customer service manager, not even an appology. Below is a detailed experience I have had with the servicing center over the past few years. They have almost cost me thousands of dollars on multiple occasions ranging from differential work to transmission repair. Decide for yourself... Hello Phil, my name is Joseph T. I have thought long and hard about sending you this email and have finally decided that it is important for you to know what types of service levels I have received. I myself earn a living through providing service so I am very aware that sometimes "things just happen" so please note; I am not judging. A few months back I was considering selling the car to 'upgrade' to a newer model so I went in for a quick inspection to make sure there were no outrageous repairs needed. At that time I had the oil changed. The inspection report I received was ignorant to say the least. I myself am not a mechanic and I do not pretend to be, but when I have 'almost-bald' tires and the Tech checks them off as good-9/32s I can tell something is awry (the tires were cracked and showing heavy wear, they were replaced the following day as part of a prescheduled maintenance plan on my part). The pre-buy inspection itself looked great on paper it said there were no problems with the car... The car itself drives very well for 145,xxx miles but obviously has some signs of ware, again it was odd to me that the inspection said nothing to any of these signs. Thursday August 9th I went to my east side mechanic (I work on the east side) for a quick oil change and I was shocked to hear that my transmission had a leak that needed immediate attention. They noted that it appeared to be an old leak and could be the reason for some of the shuttering/lack of performance I was feeling (one of the reasons I brought it to Audi UW in the first place, those notes should be in your system). I immediately had the car's transmission serviced. I am well aware that even if your Tech found the leak I would have still needed to pay for this repair, I do not feel the Tech 'cost me extra'. But this was a $1,300 service that Audi could have capitalized on. I did not blink an eye when I was told what needed to be done. Thankfully my east side mechanic reported there was no long term damage from this leak, however the transmission was in desperate need of a service. I feel that I 'lucked out' because there was no serious harm or actual damage because I know if the fluid had gotten too low the transmission would have failed. If it would have failed there would have been nothing I could have done to hold Audi accountable, that is concerning and frustrating. When I picked up the car from your dealership I was told the transmission was fine and is behaving normally for the amount of miles that was on it, excuse my french but that is a crock of crap! The car runs great now that the transmission has been serviced. I feel it is embarrassing that a small VW/Audi mechanic is able to better service my Audi than the dealership itself. Please remember I only took it in to them for an oil change and they found the issue in less than 30 mins. Again, I am not looking for any kind of compensation, I do not need the cash I paid for the pre buy inspection. I just feel it is important for you to note that I honestly feel my money and time were wasted by taking the car into your dealership. I am now nervous that Audi not only 'took my money' but almost cost me thousands of dollars due to the lack of due diligence during a pre buy inspection/oil change (what if I sold the car and it broke on them, I bet they would want me to step up and be accountable). You need to know this is not the first time something like this has happened to me at your dealership. In 2009 I had the center and rear differential replaced. In 2010 all but 2 of the bolts to the rear differential had fallen off, breaking my drivers side heat shield and almost destroying??? When I spoke to the person in charge (may have been you) they were very understanding and cooperative. I said to myself that these things happen from time to time and truthfully you can tell more about a person/company with how they handle things when S&%T hits the fan instead of everything being perfect, which is exactly why I trusted Audi again a month or so ago. Because of the multiple experiences I have had with UW Audi I decided to write this letter of concern letting you and others know that I do not feel this dealership deserves the "Five Star Rating" that is plastered throughout your literature. This place is awful. Bought my car there and the only reason I bought it there is because I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, and couldn't find it anywhere else. The sales person was awful, unprofessional, and completely uneducated. When he gave me my 'walk through' of the new car's features, he had no idea how to work anything, just kept pushing buttons and pretending that he knew, glazing over it quickly and hoping I wouldn't notice. Returned for service and that is worse. The help desk is full of people, but the only one person who is qualified to deal with your question is unavailable. You stand there waiting for ages, listening to all the other service employees gossip at the desk. Every time you call, you are on hold for at least a few minutes. It took them three weeks to get my parts in (or realize that they had my parts in), they charged my credit card incorrectly, etc etc etc. Everyone here is rude and incompetent. I never write terrible reviews like this, but this place is just ridiculous. I'm heading over to Bellevue Audi. Can't possibly be any worse. You'd think buying a "luxury" car that you'd get better service all around. Maybe I don't look rich enough to warrant decent service. But they offer you a latte so I guess that's "good" customer service. read more

I found a car on a Saturday morning at the dealership, immediately contacted them, and started negotiations by telling them I was at work until 5pm and couldn't get there until 6pm. After a very short conversation, I agreed to pay almost full price for a used vehicle (only $300 off asking price) because I knew I wanted it. They ran my credit, we agreed to terms, I had pictures and inspection report, and I told them I wanted it and I considered it mine. They sold it while I was on my way there. Now I have an inquiry on my credit, no car, and an extremely sour taste in my mouth. This is your typical dealer that is greed driven and unethical. The salesperson, although responsive and polite, was inexperienced and the finance and management personnel never had the decency to contact me. Go somewhere else! read more

We used to use Audi Of Seattle for all my repairs and oil changes on my a4 . I had an emergency for them to check my transmission seem to be slipping but there was no way they could do it for one month because all their loaner cars are all busy seems like Audis are needing a lot of repairs lately and very expensive I found a smaller German automotive repair shop conaway motors in Everett to service my car with one day notice they found out I had a misfire on one cylinder changed4spark plugs and away I went wow thanks Audi of Seattle I'll never use your shop again since you remodel your customer service really sucks !!! I have used Audi Seattle for regular maintenance and service for my A4 and they are extremely accommodating and fair. I've stopped in when my tire pressure light has come and they found a bolt in my tire. They had it fixed and I was one my way in an hour - even at lunch time. Their express oil change service is really express and is fairly priced and their service lounge is comfortable and pleasant. I've lived In several locations and used several dealerships for service and these guys are by far the best. I definitely recommend Seattle Audi. read more

Everyone was super polite and the service was quick! They even offered to pull up the car even though it was like 30 feet away so I wouldn't get wet in the rain! I came in for a quick oil change for my boyfriends car.. I drive a BMW but I kinda wish I had an audi so I could get it serviced here. They lost a star because the gal at the end who handled my transaction was rude. Literally threw my paperwork back at me ... Anywhoooo! Other than that everyone/thing else was awesome! read more
