I took my 2022 Q3 in for its first year maintenance service and was impressed by the efficiency and courtesy of the service advisor (Sam) and his willingness to listen to my concerns and how he did his best to resolve them. Although I had to book the appointment sixty days ahead of time due to an apparent shortage of loaner cars, Sam was totally prepared for me and had me on my way within a reasonable timeframe. The only thing I had a problem with was that when I picked up my car, it didn't look like it had been washed or vacuumed, as promised. When I got home, I had to rewash and vacuum my car. Not a major thing but kind of disappointing. I still think Seattle Audi is a great company and seems genuinely interested in the best interests of its customers. After the service was done the technician sends you a live video of the under side of your vehicle and explains every details about your vehicles components. Proceed with caution! I honesty have never been more appalled by the way I was treated today... My girlfriend and I came in looking to test drive a 2017 Q5 as we are planning to consolidate to 1 car and want a luxury SUV. From the moment we met Joe (a 6ft ish dark red haired guy) he did everything in his power to avoid letting us test drive a car. **in case he lied about his name, avoid this person AT ALL COSTS. First it was, "the X5 you just test drove is more comparable to our Q7." Which would have been a great up-sale chance for him, because we weren't opposed to a $70k vehicle. Instead he said, "you should wait until April for our Q5 2018's." huh? Why couldn't I test drive the 2017 I came in to consider buying or the up-sale Q7. His response, "the 2018 is a better car." Huh? Honestly, I'm at a loss for words to describe is tone and demeanor, but it was poor. He was short, arrogant and disrespectful in all aspects. I contacted "Cory" the sales manager. Which at this point I have no faith in the integrity of this place so I'm not entirely sure the names given are accurate. He was apologetic, but this experience has ruined our day. I made a silly joke about him joking and his last name being King - Joe King - and I made fun of myself to lighten the mood up. He wasn't interested in being pleasant or making a deal. Isn't there a saying about first impressions? My first impression of the Service Department is that it is an absolute mess! Plan on getting an appointment 4-6 weeks out. Good start, right? If you need a loaner, add a few more weeks. I brought my car in for its first service on 4/15/2022. Along with the oil change, I asked for the techs to look at the front suspension; it had been making some louder than normal noises. They agreed and diagnosed it as a faulty ball joint. They had to order parts so I went on my way with a noisy front suspension, waiting for a call to schedule a return visit once parts arrived. Fast forward 4 weeks, I don't hear back from anyone so I call in to check on the status. They can't find the record of my first appointment or that parts were ordered. After giving them more info they "find the record" and schedule my suspension service for June 14 2022 (2 months after my first service.) During that call, I specifically ask how long the service would take, and the service advisor says one day. I drop the car at the service desk and tell them that I'll be hanging out around the area and up in the customer lounge until it is ready. And the Service Consultant look at me like I'm a little crazy... "This could take a couple days" they say. No loaners available either. I ask them to see what they can do in one day, I'll take my car home and reschedule a longer drop off with a loaner. I'm also still waiting on a trunk liner that we ordered in April. Leads me to think the issues are larger than just the Service Department. I owned a VW for 7 years and brought it in for service across the parking lot! They were amazing. No issues. Ever. After this dealer provides such poor service and ignores services concerns for a car bought from them- they now refuse to service the car after receiving feedback that they don't like. So beware if you don't thank them for providing bad service you will be stuck with a lemon car and nowhere to service your vehicle. The car literally has tires that won't hold air at 15 months and this dealer refuses to service the car. You should not buy here. Audi corporate will be called immediately. Never mind that I drove 2 hours to get here and your appointment was set nearly a week ahead. You can provide service or you can buy the car back- not honoring your contract is not a choice. read more

You'll get excellent service and a comfy lobby. It you will pay dearly for it. For an oil change the dealership is fine for anything else run. They quoted me $500 to replace my headlight in my Audi A3, not to mention it should not be burned out already. $249 for one headlight and $200 in labor. It takes 30 minutes to change it. I got tires, alignment, and a new headlight from Firestone for $711. Unless you like wasting money, don't go here. read more

I explained that I needed an oil change, car key battery replaced, and the driver door inner mold was in need of reinstallation/replacement. The consultant confirmed the body of work and quoted $170, to which I signed off on and took a Lyft to continue my day. Later that afternoon; I received a call stating the oil change was being completed, but that I would receive a half hour charge ($50) for the inner lining. Wasn't this apart of the original charge? Insult to injury, they consultant claimed that "they were doing a financial favor" by charging me a half hour instead of a full hour. That is dishonest and wasn't stated that there would be a charge when I checked in. I legally signed for what was explained, not a starting point to then receive additional charges. I've worked in automotive service for 4 years, I would be upset with a coworker if they tried something like that, but it seems like it'd be the norm here. Not asking for a refund, just letting others know not to get scammed. read more

*(Edited) - After I posted the (below) review, Audi Seattle came through with a sincere apology and made everything right (and then some). I've never modified a review after posting one, but I feel they did such a good job of making up for their initial mistake, that I felt compelled to update my review. I've leased two cars from them in the last 5 years and everyone at the dealership is very friendly. But recently I had warning light come on the dash on my 2019 A4. I took the car in for service and it took them 8 days to diagnose the problem, procure the part, and get the car back to me. 30 miles later, the light came on again. I made a second appointment and this time it took them 10 days to fix the (same) issue and get the car back to me. I'll give them some slack because I understand parts are hard to come by during COVID. But here's why the 2-star review. . . I have a HUM OBD2 reader in my car. They removed it when they were working on the car. I know because I received a notification on my phone. I know the exact day and time it was removed. A week after I got the car back from them, I went to log my business miles travelled and remembered that the reader was removed. I called them several times and it took them days to get back to me. Then I was told that the guy who was working on my car was on vacation and wouldn't be back until the next week. I didn't get a call the next week, so I had to call and leave another message for Ryan, the service manager who oversaw the repair of my car. Ryan got back to me a few days later and said that "no one remembers removing it from the car". . . I find it hard to believe that a technician wouldn't remember removing an electrical component from an automobile. . . I got an apology and an offer for reimbursement. But between the time spent calling and leaving requests to be called back, the time I've had to spend manually tracking my business mileage, and the time it took on the phone with Verizon to order a replacement device, the apology rang a little empty. . . It's a shame because (repair issues at 12,000 miles notwithstanding), I've LOVED my Audis. . . Might have to get a Mercedes or a BMW next time. :( read more

I recently had a simple issue with my Audi (rearview mirror popped off while I was adjusting it). I called another local Audi dealership that first told me "just take it to a window/glass shop" (????) and on second try, they could get me in for an appt in a week (!!!). After being frustrated for a day, I remembered University Audi. I called and the service person on the phone was so nice and knowledgeable. She told me to just stop in, and the service manager would take a look to see if we needed to first order a part. I stopped in, the manager and another gentleman followed me to my car, they sat down, and the serviceman grabbed my mirror, put it in place in less than 1 minute and said "you're good to go". NO cost, NO appt, they just took care of it. University Audi will be the only Audi dealership I use to service my car from here out !!! read more

Can't speak to their sales team, but this specifically for their service department. Have been going to Audi Seattle on and off for about a decade but don't think I can do it anymore. Originally they had their post service surveys where they literally beg you to give them 10s. They offer those anymore and I don't think that is a coincidence. My last experiences were too much to continue going back. The first my rear brake caliper failed at 34k miles. Granted it was a few months past the warranty, I figured they may assist with a good will repair. After all, this shouldn't really happen at 34k let alone 100k. They refused to assist and came out to $1,500. The former is fine, but please don't lie about how you tried so hard to help and have each person I talk to give a completely differently conflicting story. They are pretty damn convenient, so I end up showing up again. I take my car in and get a final bill much higher than my original quote. They then claimed certain items were not covered by the TDI settlement. After talking to a couple people, they miraculously figured out I was right. Apparently I am the first person to bring this up in 4 years.... Do they do the work competently and my car is back on the road safely? 100% Do they come across as dishonest and money grubbing? You bet! Some dealerships seek to do right by the customers and build relationships, in my experience this has not been one of them. read more

This is the letter I wrote the owner of Audi Seattle after being lied to by their finance manager. Dear Rob, I recently leased a car at your Audi dealership in Seattle. Overall, it was a fine experience. Ivan and the other sales associates were friendly and helpful. The process of getting the price down was bit obtuse and took more rounds of negotiating than I would have liked, but in the end we got to a mutually agreeable position. It was with their finance manager that the experience was spoiled and why I would only recommend your dealership with reservation and a caveat. The short of it is that he blatantly lied about the service that was included with the car in order to sell me Audi Care. I specifically asked if any oil changes or services were included and he, very clearly and without reservation, responded that there was not. He also told me that the first service cost over $600. It turns out, according to your service department, that 10k service is only $244.55. Your team sort of handled this in the end. Your team had to rewrite the agreement and send someone over to my house, which was a complete waste of everyones' time. Your employee, driving around Seattle, wasted an hour. Wayne reissuing the paperwork and resubmitting everything was a waste of time. Me writing this letter is a waste of time. Hopefully you reading it won't be. All of this could have been avoided had he been honest from the get go. I'm sure if/when you ask about this he'll be adamant that he's done this hundreds of times and he's always clear and that this was my fault for not understanding him. That's what he told me. I made an appointment to have my annual service done here based off of Yelp reviews. Graham Campbell, my service writer, was great. He was friendly, attentive and helpful while getting my S5 checked in for the appointment. While I was waiting for my ride I hopped on their free WIFI and enjoyed some coffee. I meandered around the showroom for a bit since I'd been thinking about getting a smaller 4-door vehicle and saw a brand new S3 that I felt would look much better in my driveway than in their showroom... alas, my ride arrived and off to lunch we went. While at lunch I sent in an internet request for them to start working on a trade value and lease numbers for me. Jon Pollock responded quickly and got to work. We set-up a time to meet later that day when I would be coming back to pick-up my Audi. Jon made sure the S3 had the features I wanted (primarily upgraded stereo and the virtual dash), addressed some concerns I had regarding features in my current S5 and we did a test drive. Audi had fixed a lot of the technology issues I had with my 2016 in the 2018 so I was ready to go. I had a good idea of what my trade should be valued at and what I wanted to pay for the new Audi. Jon and his managers were honest and easy to work with. I got a deal I felt was fair for a new car that would make me a lot happier than what I was currently driving. Did you know car dealerships can wait to report accidents for the vehicle until after you purchase it? You think you're buying a vehicle with zero accidents, only to find out an accident had been reported to the vehicles car fax a year after your purchased it. Well, fun fact, they can definitely do that. The A6 we purchased from Audi Seattle had been in zero accidents, or so we thought. Turns out when we went to trade it in for a larger vehicle the value of the car was HALF OF WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE. Turns out the car was in an accident during a test drive. The dealership was more than happy to hide that from us and only report the accident well after we were the owners - completely tanking our value.
