I have been getting monthly facials for many years, and so I recognize a good esthetician when I meet one. I made an appointment to see Audrey for an acne facial. Her prices are more expensive than facials in the area ($80 after tax with card or $75 with cash), but I saw her good reviews and tried one session. Unfortunately, it was a waste of my money and I left feeling very disappointed. When I first met her, she greeted me and was friendly and warm. She recommended that I do not have monthly facials and spread my sessions apart, otherwise I would lose a natural glow on my face. Audrey also told me that my acne will go away on its own, so there's no need to worry. If acne goes away on its own, why am I paying you? I began to doubt whether I should have gone somewhere else...even so, I expected her to clean my blackheads and acne. Instead, she spent less than 5 minutes on extraction and the rest of the hour was spent on masking. After the session was over, blackheads were visible on my barely touched nose and I still had acne on the sides of my cheek. Since Audrey did not clean my face well, more acne built up the weeks after. I definitely regret coming here and for her prices, you can easily find estheticians who do an equal job, if not better, in the area at a lower price. read more

After Audrey, I can never go to another place. I felt so safe and taken care of by Audrey that I cannot trust anyone else. My skin was breaking out and nothing over-the-counter was working for me. I was frantically looking on Yelp for a good establishment that I forgot to check the view count. However, I am glad I didn't (usually I go for places with at least 15 reviews). Over the call, Audrey told me to come in for a consultation before I make a random decision on a treatment. Thank goodness! I was set on doing a microdermabrasion but that was definitely not for me that day. My skin was too damaged from previous facials.. fml. Audrey is not about money; she is all for helping and making people happy. She doesn't hard sell and spends 2 hrs on your face. Which establishment does that?? Most just kicks you out after 45 minutes! My skin is improving and I hope to continue with Audrey in the future. P.S. Audrey has been around for more than 10 years now and usually takes her longtime clients. Despite that, give her a ring and see if there are spots! It's all worth it! read more

Adurey was my first esthetician and earned my loyalty quickly. I feel like I can actually trust her because she actually cares about you and will take care of your skin unlike other spas where they just want your money. Money does not come first for Audrey; instead she pays attention to the health of your skin and always strives for improvements! Audrey's Skin Care is fantastic! I've been going there for more than two years. She is extremely professional and value each and every client. I use to have a little acne problem and she gave me the best advice and especially how to take care of my face. After two years of facials (about every 2 months I get a facial) and using the products at home consistently, I get so much compliment on my face on how "CLEAR" it is. I'm 26 years old and I can't complain about my skin. This is the time when young people should take extra care of their skin before wrinkles starting coming out :) My favorite thing about Audrey's skin care is that she doesn't force or convince you to buy the products she uses. When I asked her about my acne on one side of my face, she would "recommend" me a cream (which by the way works!) but she would NEVER make you do something you are uncomfortable doing. The products are a little pricy than most but I always tell me people: "You get what you pay for!" I would highly recommend people to visit Audrey's Skin Care. Audrey is by far the best thing that has ever happened to my skin! After months of dealing with breakouts and irritated skin, I finally decided that I needed to see a professional. Her glowing reviews on Yelp led me to her Chinatown location. She sat down with me and worked out a skin treatment program, which involved four sessions. She is so attentive during the session, and made sure to explain everything she was doing. After the session, she also follows up to make sure the treatment wasn't overly harsh. I was skeptical at first, but after four sessions - my skin has never been better! I cannot thank her enough for working her magic on what was a source of stress in my life. Could you find a cheaper facial? Sure. Audrey is a down to earth woman who cares about your skin rather than make money off of you. Her rates are very reasonable with the service she provides. Don't think you'll be in there for 1 hour and out, she will take her time to meet ALL of your needs. I first went to her 2 years ago with the recommendation of my mom's friend. I went in for a free consultation, she walked me through and explained what's my skin type, what are my issues and what I need to focus on. She then told me what my first facial would be, how much it would cost, why I need it and what result will it have. I then purchased a skin care starter kit, used it for 1 week and had my first facial. I had acne prone skin with sensitive and combination skin. She literally popped every pimple and almost formed pimple on my face, including the ones that was buried deep inside my skin. Long story short, she took out all of the impurities in my skin and my skin got a lot better after one facial. She told me to come back in 1 month because she was doing an acne treatment for me. (the one I had was Pumpkin something) My forehead cleared up and my skin became so soft after a week. My acne on my cheeks and chin cleared up, my acne scars lightened up and my skin was cleared up, after ONLY 1 facial. I was so happy with the result and went back after 1 month. After that, I purchased my whole skin care line from her, as well as my face makeup. I tried Chanel, Dior, Mac and other big brands foundations and they all broke me out. After I switched to her makeup line I didn't break out, only from time to time, a pimple would pop up and say hi around my period dates. Blame it on the hormones. Honestly, invest in your skin because it's worth it. Especially when you find someone who cares about you and your skin. Audrey and I became friends, and told me she's in this business not because of the money, it's because she loves what she does and wants to help people. ***Unlike other facial spots in Chinatown, she is licensed. I was once suffering from adult acne for years, I am very lucky to find Audrey who knows about her customer's skin, treat my acne skin but not with traditional acne treatment, I do not know my adult acne is different from teen acne until she told me. I was using oil free skin care products for so long and I do not know they will just dry my skin, but not effective on my adult acne. I started having facial treatment from her first like once in two weeks, then, once in three weeks, then, once in a month, because my acne skin was getting better, I do not need to go there as often, but I still keep going there once a month, I also changed my skin care products to Jan Marini, a very good brand that she carries and my acne was gone and now my skin is glowing. I can't thank Audrey enough for treating my acne problems. I started having facial ever since I was 14 years old, I know who is good and who is not. I can tell with confident that she is not those who will push you to buy products and upgrade your facial treatment etc, she will just tell you what is good for your skin and what you should use, you decided whether to get it or not, never pushy, not like other places I have gone to, those ladies are super pushy. If you have skin problems, go to her, do not spend hundreds on those spas where you can get pampered by others, but not effective treatments on the skin problems. Audrey's skincare center is small place that focuses on facials and skincare. The owner of the place runs the business and knows what she's doing. You really get personalized attention - I went there years ago because I had severe breakouts and she taught me how to take care of my skin, what to use, what not to use, etc. After my skin got a bit better, I started to explore and tried other facial places, then went back to Audrey's because I realized that all the other places I went to only wanted to push me to buy their products rather than focusing on helping me improve my skin. If you're looking for a chain store feel of a facial place - this isn't for you, but if you want to find someone who cares about your skin, I would recommend that you give Audrey a try. She uses really high quality products on your skin. Been going there for years! It's not that easy to find - as it is located on the 2nd floor of what looks like an office building. read more
