Food was overall ok to good - but not consistent as some dishes were just excellent (e.g. Rice Salad) and other dishes were just not very good (e.g. noodles salad, where the 'salad' was soggy with some weird soggy fries or potato), and the pumpkin chicken was ok-good. I had lunch here with my husband. We were seated immediately... we got to choose our seats. We started with the palatha with curry chicken. This dish was mouth watering! It was definitely my favorite. I ordered the rainbow salad with chicken which was filled with fresh ingredients. The added chicken made it a bit made filling. I would have liked a bit more flavor in this dish-I might ask for chili sauce on the side next time. My husband's spicy chicken was delicious! Overall, the food and the service were great. Pleasantly surprised - we've always wanted to try this place when we pass by Todos Santos Plaza in Downtown Concord. We ordered the Crab Meat Fried Rice which was part of the Chef's Special and not in the regular Menu. I really enjoyed the chicken wings - huge fan that they're all Flats! We also had a mild Pork Lemongrass. For Dessert we had the House Special - which was a bit tough to distinguish from the Deep Fried Banana Dessert w/ Ice Cream which is $2 cheaper. 1 star off because they kept mixing up our orders between 2 tables. My whole family loves this restaurant. We have been going since they opened the first location near Sunvalley, and I was so happy to no longer drive to sf or Oakland for the closest Burmese restaurant. I order the tea leaf salad almost every visit, veggies pumpkin and coconut rice, sesame chicken are all amazing. I also order the chicken coconut soup on grub hub any time I'm in a soup mood. The staff is always friendly and accommodating for food allergies. Love that they have outdoor seating. It's laid back, my kids like it here, and it's good for groups. After a couple of circling around I was able to find a parking , a little walk to the restaurant. When I got there the food was ready. I absolutely love the food at this location--so much so that I drive all the way from Vallejo just to eat here, even though there's a closer spot in Benicia. While the Benicia location is also great, it tends to be crowded with long lines and tight seating. The Concord location, on the other hand, offers a more relaxed atmosphere, beautiful decor, and elegant silverware. And of course, the food is consistently delicious. They also have excellent vegetarian options--I highly recommend the lemongrass tofu paired with a refreshing lavender lemonade! read more

We did family style and ordered the following dishes: Chicken Biryani Coconut Rice Fiery Beef Fiery Pork Palatha Crispy Pork Belly Chicken red curry Lemon Grass Swai Fish We all agreed that our favorites were the Lemon Grass Swai Fish, Fiery pork, and the palatha. The lemon grass Swai fish was surprisingly not fishy at all. It was soft to the bite and fell apart perfectly in your mouth. The sauce was flavorful to the point that we were scooping the sauce on the rice and eating it just like that. It was the unexpected main star of the meal. The palatha was crusty, flakey, buttery, and just amazing over all. We started with this as an appetizer. I could eat just this if I were to come again. Fiery pork- all I can say is omgg. Super tender and the sauce was great. We got the fiery beef and honestly the beef cannot compare with the pork. There was a notable difference between the two and the pork won by a landslide. I had such high hopes after seeing the great reviews but was sadly let down. The service was great. The food, meh. I had a mango cosmo which had a strange taste, not sweet like I was hoping. We got some recommendations from our server and order palatha, salt n pepper calamari, crab fried rice, chicken biryani, and the tender pork. The palatha was good, I imagined the sauce to be thicker but it was a really thin curry so it didn't "stick" to the palatha. The salt b pepper calamari was a total let down. They looked like onion rings and you would not even know it was calamari (no chew, all batter). There was no salt, no pepper. The chicken biryani was okay, it was tender but lacked flavor. The tender pork looked more like beef but was the tastiest dish we ordered. The crab fried rice was so pale, not seasoned, needed soy sauce, salt, something! The crab meat just sat on the top. Total let down, I hate oale rice because it means its not seasoned at all and it wasn't. I definitely won't be coming back, the food was underwhelming and disappointing. read more

My parents and I stumbled upon this gem while walking around todos santos plaza. I have been here multiple times and I really enjoyed the food here. Broccoli Shrimp: This was a simple dish of stir-fry broccoli and added shrimp to it. My parents wanted this and it was delicious. The broccoli was sautéed perfectly for me and had a punch of flavor to it. Fiery Tofu: I love the spice behind this dish. The tofu is firm, which I like. The green beans is a nice addition for the color, along with the red peppers. Easily one of my favorite dishes. Chicken Biryani: I feel like this is their signature dish. It comes with the special rice added. The chicken falls off the one and the sauce is very creamy and flavorful. I honestly think anyone who comes here has to try this dish. It really is a meal on its own. Lunch Special Fiery Beef: This dish was my second visit here, separate from the others above. The lunch special prices are very fair and plentiful amount of food. The fiery beef is my go to lunch meal (that or the Chicken Biryani). It is not too sweet or spicy (at least at mild level). The colors also balance themselves nicely with green beans and red peppers. Overall experience is one star. Don't go to this restaurant unless you want to get blamed for their mistake! Had dinner at the restaurant on Nov 19, 2025 around 6pm or so. Ordered seven dishes and one of the dishes is broccoli beef. When the dish arrived, we noticed it was prepared with red chili and it tasted spicy. I did not remember if the menu had a chili pepper icon next to the name of the dish or not. After looking at the menu again, I noticed there was no chili pepper icon next to the name of dish. I flagged the waitress and asked her why was the broccoli beef spicy when it was not specified on the menu it was spicy. If it was spicy, I would not have ordered the dish. She then stated that if we did not tell them when the order was placed to not prepare it spicy, then it would be cooked spicy. Now, how would the customer know that the broccoli beef was spicy? THERE WAS NO CHILI PEPPER ICON next to the name of the dish! So, the waitress is blaming the customer for not telling them to make it non spicy. My guess was the cook accidently used chili pepper while preparing the dish. Their thoughts were just to bring it out to the customer to see if they would notice. There was a Corvette show at Todos Santos Plaza so we walked around to find a nearby restaurant. Finally, found a Burmese restaurant in the area! So I was enthusiastic to try it since there are so many good ones down the Peninusla and in SF. We first started with samosas (others say samusa) which was a hit! I like the Burmese ones better than the Indian/Pakistani samosas because it is a crisper wrapping (using eggroll type of wrappers) and not as thick as Indian/Pakistani wrappings. This was 4.0 stars. Pumpkin chicken-the pumpkin were good size pieces and very tender but not mushy. The chicken was tender. This would ave been a great dish if it was not so bland. The curry color came through, but not the actual curry flavor. It was still good, but it has room for improvement. 3.5(my daughter says 3.75 lol-I told her why make me calculations more difficult for me to average out!). This was her favorite dish. Mango chicken- I love mango chicken or beef normally as a Burmese dish. They don't serve beef here. Chicken was tender and mango slices were sweet and at peak of the season. Still a bit on the bland side,although still good with a hint of basil(which could have used more). I did ask for medium in spice/chile in all my dishes,but even without the spice or with the spice it was a bit bland. But this was my favorite dish of the three entrees we tried. 3.5 Chili Beef-looked like Mongolian beef and in other Burmese restaurants. This type of dish was a salty type of dish (no sweetness at all) with onions. With chili visible and lots of onions. I saw another table with beef dishes and I asked what was that so I could order. I think they had bell peppers though, so they may have given me a different beef dish? I did not really like this one and could have done without this add-on and my daughter didn't really like it, but said it was ok. So I rate it a 3 which is acceptable, but nothing special. The coconut rice was actually very mushy, but kind of drying out looking like it may have been sitting in the rice cooker already made and waiting to be doled out which in a restaurant I guess what do you expect? Although I had in other restaurants where coconut rice was made with each grain separated and not mushed together. So a 2.0-did finally taste the coconut and bit of sweetness at the very bottom of the bowl (although Idk why it was only at the bottom of the bowl which is weird?). Staff were friendly and sweet. Prompt service. Mango iced tea was good per my daughter and refreshing on a hot day. Nice touch of iced water served with lemon in a water pitcher. Bench seats were kind of old and discolored with the old green blue seats appearing through the brown-but minor decor issue and who cares really about the decor- the food is where it counts! I mention it as some may care about this kind of stuff. Food averages out to 3.2-it is okay, but unlike the Burmese foods down the Peninsula and SF ones. But hey, at least we have one when I get a hankering for some Burmese food! So some room for improvement, but ok food. This may be good for those who never had Burmese food in the area before and want to see how it tastes. We dined here on a warm Saturday night and chose to sit in the patio area. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The table for two was rather small. With the carafe of water, utensils, two glasses and two plates, the entire table was already crowded before our food arrived. I would recommend asking for the table for four (if possible). The Burmese papaya salad was very flavorful and a nice surprise. We both only had Thai or Lao style before this meal. This was our favorite dish of the night. I have never had Burmese style spicy noodles. The server asked what level of spice I'd like and I asked for medium. When the noodles arrived, I thought I mistakenly ordered Pad Thai. It looked similar, but the dish was on the savory side. There was no spice to this dish. It was delicious, but the spice level was closer to cracked black pepper. Red pepper flakes are spicier than this dish. Next time, we'll have to ask for extra spicy. We also ordered the Aung Burma Spicy Whole Fish with Jasmine rice. Again, the server asked what level of spice we'd like and we asked for spicy. The spice level was very similar as the spicy noodles, very minimal. It was also on the sweeter side. If you're looking for a spicy dish, I recommends asking for extra spicy. Overall, the staff were friendly and service was great. They opened recently and we did not see a wine/beer/alcohol menu or bar area. We definitely will be asking for extra spicy the next time we dine here. read more

I got the Fiery Tofu with Jasmine Rice, it is so flavorful and the portion is perfect, I usually can't finish all of my plate. You can choose how spicy you want your food as well, which is nice 10/10. The samosas are crispy, flaky, and filled with spices. I've had better samosas, but they're good 7.5/10.
