Just like it's namesake, Joyaux (meaning "jewel" in French) values every handmade truffle and confection like a precious gem with care, detail and quality gleaming in each one. The box assembled has a great range of flavors that really helps to complement each other. I ate the double chocolate truffle, so rich, dark and decadent, and then followed it up with raspberry pate de fruit which was bright, sparkling and REALLY popped compared to the richness of the chocolate. The sourdough dark chocolate pretzels are something I personally could eat an entire bag of, so they're plenty dangerous and could be paired with beer, whisky or your favorite cocktail easily. Soft carmel was chewy but only JUST chewy enough where I didn't feel like I'd have to go to the dentist to get my fillings redone like some carmels I'm legit afraid of. The white chocolate raspberry ganache truffle was smooth and creamy like how you picture white chocolate. The hint of raspberry lingers around at the end of the flavor - for those who love raspberry I could even seen that getting punched up a little. The Arc de Triomphe (get it, the name is French?!!) is the peanut butter truffle. It's a souped-up Reese's on steroids. If you like chocolate and you like peanut butter (who doesn't?) you're gonna fall in love with this treat. Something they do with the peanut butter filling gives it an extra layer of complexity and just a hint of crunch.

The peanut butter truffles were not only aesthetically pleasing but equally tasty. I loved that both the Raspberry Pate De Fruit and the Caramels had great flavor, were really chewy but neither stuck to your teeth which is a common issue with those types of treats. The white chocolate raspberry ganache truffle was the perfect balance of chocolate with a nice hint of raspberry. All of them were SO delicious!

The chocolates and ice creams have been consistently tasty. Some of my favorite sweets/recommendations are: caramel sea salt dark (and milk) chocolate, raspberry heart chocolate, spicy chocolate ice cream, lavender sorbet, and many more! The people I've visited the parlor with liked the chocolate ice cream, superman ice cream, grapefruit sorbet, and a variety of chocolates. Try it all for yourself! P.S. - The chocolates make great gifts!

The "best" local place that was open in January was The Chocolate Chisel. My family and I stopped and each got a cone. I also got three truffles. The truffles I bought were chai tea milk, experimint milk (ganache with peppermint extract), and peppermint hot chocolate. The chai tea and experimint milk truffles both tasted like they should based on their descriptions, but I wouldn't wantto buy either again. The peppermint hot chocolate had some crushed peppermint on top, but other than the chocolate being in the shape of a mug, nothing about it reminded me of hot chocolate. Ultimately I don't think any of them were worth the price. The ice cream was lackluster. Both of my kids got cookies and cream in a cake cone and thought it was skimpy on the cookies part. My wife and I sprung for waffle cones with ours and were both disappointed in the excessive cone to ice cream ratio that heavily favored the cone. She got plain chocolate and it was fine. I, however, got banana-rama and ended up throwing it out because it tasted more like butter pecan than anything banana related. I even went back inside and verified with the employee that it wasn't mislabeled in the case.

I've had Kohler Chocolates before and have always been impressed. Since we were staying at the American Club for the weekend, stopping by the chocolate shop was a must. As part of the stay, you receive a small box of Terrapins as a welcome gift and then a couple of square truffles with the nightly turn-down service, which only made us more excited to visit the store. We went on a Sunday morning while they were just putting out their selections in the display case. It isn't a huge assortment, but everything they offer is beautifully crafted and clearly made with care. I was especially surprised and impressed when we asked if it was possible to sample something and they offered us an entire truffle rather than just a small piece. That was incredibly generous. You can purchase pre-boxed assortments, but if you want a custom selection, you can choose any combination you like and they will box it up for you. They offer gift boxes for four or nine pieces, which are perfect sizes for sharing or giving as gifts. We will definitely enjoy these chocolates ourselves and share them with some of our favorite people.

The combination of buttery caramel, crunchy pecans, and rich chocolate is spot on. Everything in the shop looks amazing, but I can never bring myself to try anything else. The original recipe is my favorite!

Upon walking in you immediately know you're going to love the place. It's so cute and cozy. There is indoor and outdoor seating, cute decor, and chocolate galore. 2. I ordered the drinkable hot chocolate. It was good, although a little thick. I would have wanted a bit of almond milk to thin it a bit but I loved how rich it was. My daughter also got the kids chocolate frappe (I think that's what it was called) she loved it! 3. We received one free truffle each since it our first time there. We ordered the mint, vanilla bean, and turtle truffles. I also ordered the sea salt caramel truffle and my daughter got a gaming boy stick chocolate. So cool. 4. We also tried their cookies so tasty! 5. The lady working was sooooo sweet. Omg, she truly was. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name but she made us feel welcome (almost everyone in Wisconsin made us feel that way) and she was no different. What a pleasant experience as we headed back home. Highly recommend that you drop in when you are in the Madison area!

This is the best latte I've had this year--perfect if you like coconut cream cold brews but prefer something a little sweeter than a cold brew, like me. It's got coconut cold foam on top and was also topped with toasted coconut and what seemed like pie crumbs? So delicious It wasn't very busy in there and I got my drink super fast, the barista even walked it out to the table I was waiting at. Highlyyyy recommend this place for coffee!

We had a group of 10- and had such a nice evening. Someone needs to be designated driver- the cocktails were outstanding and the chocolate pairings were so complimentary. We were a group of 13 and we were excited to get the night started here with a tasting. The wine was fantastic, I discovered some new favorite cheeses as well, and the chocolate was delicate, beautiful, and melted in your mouth. If you have not done tasting here you really should give it a try. It would make for the perfect date night, even. My favorite wine was 2018 Bodegas Nekas El Chaparrall Garnacha, my choice for cheese is Luna (Apline/Gouda Blend from WI), and the Gray Salt Caramel Truffle won my vote for best chocolate. The staff takes you through each grouping prior to your tasting providing background information as well as why the 3 items pair well together. I would have given a 5 star rating, but towards the end of our visit we waited for a significant amount of time before getting information on the 3rd pairing because another party had shown up. With only a staff of 2, they were not able to get that party started and come back to us without many of us wondering what was taking so long.
