WHATA-EXPERIENCE! It's so cool getting to try a Whataburger IN Texas. I enjoyed grabbing a burger…read moreat one of their Arizona locations. However, there's something special about grabbing a bite from the Texan source! My bacon burger was yummy even after a 20 min ride to DT H-Town! The fries are scrumptious and unfortunately I dropped my vanilla shake so I can't comment on that! The lemonade's good though! Service was good, the girl at the window asked me "is it over?!" I guess they had a wave of folks before I rolled up. She had a warm demeanor and brought my food out quickly! The drive-thru is not as bad as people make it out to be, there's a good traffic flow. I arrived for a late night bite, so it was quieter. Note: This location is near the freeway, so it's a perfect fast food pitstop! It's open 24/7!

The line moved at a steady pace, nothing mind blowing but a steady pace for a Whataburger. When I pulled up to the payment / food receipt window, Sylvia greeted me by name (given when she took my order), took my cash payment and gave me the proper change. She then politely verified I had a grip on my drink before letting it go and then also handed me my food (with all the correct items and condiments). During the entire interaction, I felt like I was her center of attention, she cared that I was her customer, and she took good, quick, quality care of me. (Thank you!) I also noticed that throughout our interaction she was also helping other customers with the same amazing customer service. She was taking orders, walking other orders of food out to other cars/customers, working the register window - she navigated her duties extremely well and prioritized customer care. I honestly left Whataburger wondering if we had any openings where I could potentially tell our recruiters to hire her within my own organization (so watch out Whataburger haha). The level of service and professionalism I and the other customers around me received this morning was/is by far the best service I have seen in any fast food establishment. Please tell Sylvia C. that her elite customer service, multitasking skills and quality care makes a huge, positive impact on her customers and we truly appreciate what she does for us and how she leaves us feeling, thank you! Oh and the food tasted exactly as expected, no problems with the quality or freshness of my order. Went through the drive thru this morning around 8:30 AM (Friday, 5/22). It was pretty empty when we first arrived then more trickled in soon after. It was little darker than a regular restaurant with red neon lighting. We weren't greeted by anyone but easily noticed that we could order on our own. It is self seating and the area seemed cleaned. We sat at a booth for 5 of us. For the family, I ordered the bird wrap basket (mild spice level) with crinkle fries & cheese sauce on the side for myself. For the kids, I got a side of Mac n' cheese and ordered each a single tender with crinkle fries & cheese sauce on the side from the kids menu & fountain drink. My husband got a single slider burger basket with crinkle fries (medium spice level). I did think the kids meal was way too expensive for a single tender. They unfortunately only ate less than half of a tender. Both did not like the fruit punch which was unusual since they usually enjoy that elsewhere. They did like the fries but I noticed all the cheese I requested on the side were actually drizzled on top which didn't bother me much. However, I did have to ask for the Mac and cheese side which was forgotten and I had to ask for water cups twice which always makes me feel bad to feel like a constant bother. I did enjoy my wrap which tasted fresh and I didn't really need the side sauce for extra flavor. The Mac and cheese was really good and creamy. My husband liked the sandwich and the spice level was good and easily tolerable for him (someone who enjoys spicy food in general). We ended ordering a cookies and cream milkshake for the kids. They drank about 1/2. Overall, it was a good meal but I would prefer better and friendlier customer service.

Another employee handled the meat, and one focused solely on online orders--leaving the in-store line completely stalled. Meanwhile, several staff members seemed more focused on making their own food and drinks than helping customers. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this location--it's extremely slow, and you'll be waiting far longer than expected.

I probably visited…read morethis location alone 150+ times over the span of those 7 years, and not once have I seen any changes to its operations even though there are clear areas for improvement. The food itself usually tastes decent, but the crowd control and portion sizes are an entirely different story. There are no where near enough employees at the serving line and cash register. The line extends all the way to the entrance and sometimes even intrudes into the dining area during lunch/dinner hours. On multiple occasions, I've craved Chipotle but then changed my mind after seeing the ridiculous line. The popularity of this location doesn't speak to Chipotle's amazing customer experience; it merely reflects the lack of other semi-healthy fast food options nearby. However, Pearland's food scene has steadily expanded over the years and it's not certain whether customers will continue to put up with this restaurant's inefficient operations in the near future. Small portion sizes are more of a universal Chipotle problem, but it still deserves mentioning. Don't shy away from asking for extra. The only toppings that cost more for extra are meats, guac, and queso. Also, keep in mind that ordering on the app to save time will come at the near guarantee of small portions. Coming in about 30-45 minutes before closing time typically circumvents these problems, as workers usually provide more generous servings (a lot of the food would go in the garbage otherwise). To be clear, these are issues with management and not individual workers. I can't speak on anyone else's personal experiences, but I've never encountered a rude server or cashier here. I still enjoy the convenience of Chipotle during non-peak hours, but I'm looking the other way if its 12-1pm or 5-7pm.
