We had such a wonderful dinner at Aunty Pasto's tonight. My son had the carbonara, and I ordered the shrimp and lobster ravioli. Both were absolutely delicious! We also had Diet Coke and a pomegranate Italian cream soda, which was such a fun treat. I love that the new owners have kept the familiar look and feel of Aunty Pasto's. It still has that cozy, old-school Italian atmosphere that makes the place special, but the service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, there was nice music playing in the background, and the whole restaurant just had a really comfortable, welcoming vibe. Tonight was especially meaningful because my son and I were having dinner together on the 1 yr anniversary of my mom's passing. Sitting there enjoying such a good meal, I kept thinking about how much she would have loved the food here. Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We were the only customers in there for a while, so the front work worker set us next to the large picture window facing Britannia Street, which was very nice. Good food and wine menu, and glad they have Italian beer. Quick service and the food came out relatively quickly, although again we were the only ones there. We had an appetizer of escargot, for our main dish we shared the Cacciucco seafood stew, and because it came with no sides, we ordered a marinara spaghetti off the kids menu. Came here with a friend for an early dinner/late lunch. There were no one but us around so we were sat fairly quickly. I really wanted to try their mozzarella sticks but they were out! So sad. After we ordered we got their complimentary bread which was fire! We ordered: * Garlic Bread: 8/10, solid appetizer, crunchy, buttery, and garlicky. We probably should've saved some for the pastas itself but we ended up devouring it. (We were given more free bread though, not the same as the garlic bread tho) * Lasagna: 9/10. This was my first time ever having lasagna at a restaurant, and first time I'm having it in general for like a decade. You have a choice for the sauce it comes in, I just told the waiter whatever he felt like would be best. I think it was the mushroom one. It was pretty good, no complaints. * Chicken Alfredo: 8.7/10, my friend got this so I don't have any specific notes about it. It was good from the couple bites I tried. We love how inviting and welcoming the owners are. Kaylee and Maxs are so personable and you can see their hard work when you dine here. We've come twice now and both times we've left completely satisfied and needing a walk haha. The carbonara and bolognese for our first visit was delicious. Our second time we went for the fettuccine alfredo and the ribeye. Flavors were so good! Tasty! We went back for lunch again, and it was just as good as the first time. This time we ordered the fried mozzarella to start, split the sausage pizza, and tried the Pasta of the Day, which was a basil pesto oil sauce. Everything was excellent. The fried mozzarella was perfectly crispy, the pizza had a great crust and plenty of flavor, and the pasta was fresh, light, and really well done. Our server was also incredibly nice and polite. She checked on us just enough without hovering and made the whole experience even better. I still don't understand why lunch isn't busier. A true hole in the wall place. Walking up, I had no idea what to expect. The inside is super cute, exposed brick and just what you would expect from a little Italian place. The service was ok. The guy seemed shocked when after 20 minutes of sitting we asked if we could order. But he was sweet. Food was amazing. Side salad was tiny and didn't have much on it for $9. This was some of the best Italian food in that state. Our dishes were perfectly cooked, portions were generous, and the service was incredible. I had the most amazing mussels and clams; I felt like I was transported back to my local Italian eatery and felt like I was family. And when I do I love coming to Auntie Pasto's Everything was absolutely amazing given we did come within the last two hours before closing but service was great. Everyone was so friendly. The food was scrumptious so ONO! The mood inside very is giving classic mom&pop Italian restaurants. I love how the tables are with the menus already there so you can kind of just look at it and still have it without it being in the way of your food. The portion sizes are huge. I couldn't even finish my pasta. I had to take home my left overs but more for later is always good. Service was pretty fast and the food came out HOT and super Fresh! the management was just so involved in the customer service it felt super welcoming very homie and you can feel the aloha! I went in today(a Monday) for lunch and the ambiance was wonderful. It seemed like a slower day for the restaurant which was nice because it was so peaceful inside, my server was very sweet(did not catch her name but she was great) and everything was both quick to appear and very delicious. I highly recommend the spinach and cream spaghetti. Topped off with a window view and Bella Notte playing as I was eating my pasta. 5 stars and I will return again, hopefully to try dessert next time. read more

I didn't finish it. They charged an $2.50 for their "fresh" fettuccine which I didn't asked for. I just wanted regular fettuccine noodles. I wish the server would have informed me of this so call "fresh" charge.This was not worth $51. Took the server 11 minutes to give me check after asking. He kept passing me. Ignore the previous reviews from this place, it was so delicious and the service was 10/10! My husband and I had been wanting to try it for a while so we finally went. We were seated immediately and taken care of the entire night. I didn't get our waiters name but he was fantastic! Since I was off from work to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. holiday I decided to have e lunch with my wife at Auntie Pasto's . Last year I seen the news they said this eatery was closing their doors so I had to try them out before they close . The good news is they're not closing I asked our waiter if they're closing he replied his family took over the business Yay! I ordered their shrimp scampi it was ok my wife had their Lobster Ravioli she said it was good. The highlight was their Fried Mozzarella. I remember when Aunty Pasto's was located somewhere else. When they moved to where they are now, my family stopped going, I think because parking can kind of be difficult to find. I recently went back to Aunty pastos though because I was on the hunt for the best eggplant parmigiana and the reviews here were good! I called in an order and picked up on afternoon before going to a potluck. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti and the fresh clams with linguine. Pick up was easy and fast. As I was waiting for the guy to get my order form the kitchen, I was looking at the menu and around the restaurant. It's a pretty big space and nicely decorated. They had some lunch specials posted on the wall too that seemed affordable. When I got to the potluck, everyone loved both pasta dishes. I liked the interesting shape of the fettuccine noodles and I think of the two, I preferred the clam sauce. I'd be back for some delicious pasta. I heard a rumor that aunty pastos was going to close, but I really hope that's not the case. Italian food scene is a little limited in Hawaii, so it's nice to have options. read more

Most probably of location I've never been here before though their address is S Beretania the entrance is on a super busy Pensacola Street with metered parking that's usually quite difficult to secure though I was hoping to get lucky which I did so here we go! I admit it's quite simple with the basic menu offerings I know it's gonna be pasta not ravioli, lasagna or the blunt penne pastas lol but which one is the question. I was immediately greeted by the server which seems to be the only front of the house staff as I see no other besides the kitchen she handled herself lovely as she brought me some water and took my order of "Mixed Mushroom" tossed in marinara sauce I wanted spaghetti and was surprised how fast it arrived along with some house bread with a dish of olive oil, I also ordered a Strawberry Italian Soda which was nice and refreshing. The pasta was nice and basic a generous portion topped with shredded parmesan cheese and a sprig of fresh basil is a beautiful presentation. Wished that they did offer some chili pepper flakes and/or parmesan cheese not sure if they have and I didn't ask it's just normal for me that they offer it like many other places do so...a simple thing like that is a nice touch. The vibe here is nice and cozy the service was a delight as she kept checking on me and the food was basic for the price, it was just missing something for me the cheesy decor felt dated but I got my pasta and left full. We came around 7:30pm on a Monday night and found street parking right in front of the restaurant. And we were seated right away. I ordered the Fresh Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The pasta was delicious, though they were a little too generous with the sauce for my taste. My companion ordered the Carbonara with spaghetti and it was rich, smoky from the bacon . . extremely tasty! We also got the Fennel, Sausage & Roasted Pepper pizza (which tasted like they used Hillshire Farms sausage), but still done well. And their Homemade Tiramisu was so light, it melt in my mouth, and very flavorful. Service was very amiable, sweet and attentive. It is a bit warm in the restaurant, but the décor is charming, classic Italian-American. If you're looking for Italian-American food done well, I would recommend Auntie Pasto's. read more

Auntie Pasto's is not the same as before, unfortunately since its changed ownership. However, this pizza was delicious. It's about the size of a medium pizza for $18.95. Not bad since they use quality ingredients and it's far from the box pizza stores. The restaurant was not as crowded as I am used to seeing. We need to keep small local businesses going. Next time I am in the area, I will try their spaghetti dishes. Restaurant was very clean. Peeked into the kitchen and noticed it was very clean, too. Parking is a bit tricky on the streets. It's been about four years or so since I last ate at AP's. This was in part due to the drive, but also because all the reviews saying that they had changed. Well, went to lunch today, and I'm happy to say those reviews are wrong. Auntie Pasto's is the same if not better. Service was excellent and the inside was as it always ways. Menu looked more extensive, but I got an old fave, eggplant parm. My friend got a pepperoni pie. Both came out quickly and were presented well. eggplant parm was perfectly crisp and cut in big, hearty slices. Sauce was just as a remembered it, delicious. Penne was perfect. Bread that accompanied it was warm and fresh. Waters flowed. Prices were more than reasonable considering the portions. Will definitely be back again. read more
