Discovered this special hole in a wall with my newfound pals from Hawaii. We all shared a large pizza and even had a slice left over that we gave to our unhoused friend. The pizza was delightful in such a warm atmosphere.

Fast and kind service. We were greeted right away and seated with our choice of table. It is a smaller restaurant with tables available but the biggest table had 6 seats. The waitress was polite and friendly! We ordered a large Italian salad, large pesto spaghetti and large la pizza rina combo! It was enough for four people! The pesto is my recommendation for sure because it was so delicious!

La Pizza Rina, oh sooo guuud! Much Mahalo. 1st time for my brother to eat lunch w/ us. He also ordered the awesome delish antipasto salad.. oohhh YUMMERS (sorry no pics) the 3 of us managed to finish the pie. Crust, was "Kris-pay"... flavorful, baked perfect! Best part... Heading back to town from Kaneohe, I was getting hungry. I just wanted something simple and easy, with easy parking because that can be such a drag. Let me go to one of my favorites! There were three families inside when I walked in. I grabbed a table by the kitchen. Prices sure have increased since I first came here. But I was craving spaghetti and meatballs. There's no beer or wine, which is fine. Last time I was here was back in 2022 for the same thing. MMmmmm garlic bread! And then the feast! So good! Just like I remembered! The family who runs Rina is very nice! Definitely worth coming to for a no frills, non-pretentious meal! Mahalo Rina!

Small spinach, mushrooms and olives with extra cheese... yum!

Love this little pizza place in town. Their pizzas are delicious and pizza crust tasted fresh. Didn't get a chance to try their pesto spaghetti , but will definitely try it on our next visit!

I was looking forward to curry next door but failed to notice they're closed on Tuesdays so I had to pivot for La Pizza Rina. The lovely family that runs this place is kind, down to earth and quick to service. They may have been rushing me that afternoon since I noticed they closed at 2 or 3pm to prep for dinner. Salad and pizza came out ok. Both were edible and pizza was a bit undercooked but still doable. I ate as fast as I could to be respectful of time. The place is dainty and dark. Great place to cool down from the heat. After walking almost 2 miles from Ala Moana I probably should've stayed there to get something to eat. Lesson learned. However, if you're in a pinch this place will nudge the spot and give you energy for the rest of the day.

Free parking in back shared lot, enter from S. King Street. Exit from Keeaumoku St. Went for lunch dine in on Election day. Son requested pasta. Ordered: Baked spaghetti with meat sauce Spinach tortellini Garlic bread included with pasta Homemade bread, from Daily bread, also located on S. King Street. Sandwiches also made with homemade bread. Pizza is also on the menu. Prices are still reasonable. Family business.

Got the la pizza rina combo pizza, pastrami submarine sandwich, and garlic cheesy bread. The pizza definitely tastes fresh and savory. It's different from fast food pizzas like pizza hut and papa John's as it has less of an oily and greasy feeling after eating it. The toppings of the pizza definitely stand out as u eat it and the bread and crust is a perfect combination of crispy and chewy. The pastrami sub is definitely worth a try. The vinegar sauce with the mayo adds immense flavor to the sandwich. The bread is nice and crispy and the inside of the sandwich is perfectly salted and balances well with the lettuce and tomato. I will say though that I was disappointed with their garlic bread. Did not taste the garlic. It literally tasted like average melted cheese on a whole lot of bread. Probs wont be getting that again but the other two I'll definitely be going back for seconds! Parking is in a lot in the back of the building with a 1 way in from king street and an exit on keamoku street. There's about 6-8 tables inside with a fridge of drinks that u can buy. I had my first Henry Weinhard's root beer and vanilla root beer at this place and have grown a liking to it ever since. It goes good with the pizza too ;) Service was soo friendly and thoughtful. We came a little later than the final seating time but they still allowed us to order takeout. And the food tasted up to it's amazing standard

I've been to La Pizza Rina multiple times now, and it's easily one of my go-to spots in Hawaii. Every visit has been solid, but on my most recent trip, I got the La Pizza Rina Super Sub Sandwich and also made a pizza! The super sub is so authentic...flavorful, super fresh, and honestly one of the best subs I've had. The price is more than fair for how much you get. Id say go for the sub (or better yet, do both and split!) Friendly staff, fast service, and a chill, atmosphere. Can't recommend this place enough.

We were looking for dinner after the movies and decided on La Pizza Rina. We have been going here for a while and always love the service and food. When we got there is was super crowded, there were only 2 open tables. There is only one server and although she was busy, she greeted us with water and utensils. We ordered baked spaghetti and antipasto salad. The salad and garlic bread came out fast and was super fresh and delicious. Absolutely love the cheese and ham rolls sliced in the salad!! Our spaghettis came out steaming hot and cheesy - delicious! The restaurant is small and homey feeling and although it was crowded it was not as loud as I expected. There is lots of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant and it is well lit. By the time we left we were the last ones and everyone waved to us, including the kitchen staff. Would definitely go again!

Best spaghetti and Italian salad. I'm so glad I found this place. They use to have another place in Chinatown 5 years ago.

Ask the Community - La Pizza Rina

Is this the same restaurant that used to operate on Maunakea Street and the name was Rosarina?

Yes... it used to be Rosarina's- many MANY years ago- but same subs. I only ever ordered the sub sandwiches from there and still do (from La Pizza Rina)

    How much is the parking?

You don't need to pay for prkg here anymore, that used to be in the back of the Restaurant, "La Pizza Rina!".

The menu is accessed via QR code. I ordered a bottle of Barolo ... Our hostess / server brought a 2018 Perla Terra Barolo. It was light bodied, slightly acidic but with sufficient notes of red fruit to make it enjoyable. We ordered the Midollo Osseo, roasted bone marrow topped with pesto and served with toasted sourdough, and Cavoletti di Bruxelles, fried brussels sprouts in brown butter with Italian sausage, topped with dried cranberries, sliced almonds and Parmesan. Both appetizers were delicious! The bone marrow was unctuous and flavorful. The brussels sprouts were good but we boxed half of the order. My tablemate ordered the Risotto Funghi e Tartufo, that featured Porcini and other mushrooms, topped with sauteed foie gras, truffle oil and Parmesan. I chose Rigatoni Bolognese, featuring veal, pork and beef in tomato sauce with Pecorino Romano. The risotto was excellent; my rigatoni was very good, though I wished for a bit more tomato sauce. We boxed a large portion of the risotto. Dessert was a classic Tiramisu, and I had a cup of coffee. La Cucina's tiramisu is what we've been looking for ... one with lady fingers, creamy mascarpone, and an appropriate dusting of cocoa powder. We really enjoyed our meal at La Cucina. It was loud in there but not too distracting, more so like friends gathering together and having a great time. (4/5) Food: Was really excited to try this asian fusion menu as the Dan Mien Vietnam-Atriciana with lap xuong caught my eye but truthfully - it was underwhelming. The Hokkaido milk rolls were also disappointing which was a bummer since everyone seemed to rave about them. They weren't warm at all and didn't seem fresh, which seemed to be the trend for the other dishes as well since they weren't served hot and pretty much room temperature at best. (2/5) Service: This is where I would give it a 0/5 stars if I could. I've never been to a restaurant where customers aren't greeted as soon as they walk in or at least within 5 minutes of walking into the restaurant. We arrived 15mins early to our reservation and upon stepping in immediately noticed no host stand/designated area to check-in (granted the restaurant itself was pretty small inside so understandable) we therefore waited off to the side. Countless waitresses walked by and even the bartenders noticed us waiting off to the side yet we weren't acknowledged. Not even a quick "we'll be right with you or welcome in". After standing there huddled off to the side we decided to maybe walk further into the restaurant to see if we had to check-in somewhere else and ran into someone that seemed to be the host. She asked if she could help us and we said we hadn't been checked-in yet for our reservation. After getting our info she quickly told us to go back to the front of the restaurant. No indication of how much longer we had to wait, no okay you're all checked-in we'll get your table set up now...just "okay go back and wait in the front". Over the next 10 minutes of waiting in the front of the restaurant we were met with whispers and stares from the employees giving us the feeling of being the new student on the first day of school which left us uncomfortable to the point where we decided to wait outside. Eventually she took us to our table but you could tell she was standoffish the whole time as if we had done something wrong. Our waiter was nice but not that personable and throughout the meal we were probably checked on once or twice at most. Overall: A restaurant is only as good as its service. To me, great food brings customers in but great service brings them back and unfortunately I will not be back.

We ordered the Repetti pizza and fettuccine with diavolo sauce and meatballs. We also had the Caesar salad and focaccia bread with marinara sauce. Our server was Grace. Grace was so friendly and knowledgeable and professional. In addition to the food, Grace made the dining experience exceptional. We sat outside and even though it was a very hot day, the temperature was very comfortable under the roofed area. The Pinot Grigio was excellent! Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. We had a lot of leftovers and ate some for dinner and still have more for tomorrow. Repetti's will be a new place for us to dine and bring friends as often as possible. We were so impressed and could not have wanted any of the experience to be different. Fantastic in every way!

We had a family dinner--for eight--at Mangiamo by 604. I was excited to have my father and brother…read moreexperience this establishment, as I had a great experience two years ago. My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

I came maybe two or times in the past. The last time was the other year. I was bummed and felt…read moresorry for those who need to use the elevator to the restaurant and it wasn't working. I don't know how the elderly lady with walker was able to get up the stairs or they weren't able to dine there. I didn't mind this place. It's not like Assaggio, but more like Olive Garden. Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.
