I came here for a private event. Sweetest bartenders Ray & Tammy. Both are attentive, friendly and quick on drink orders. There is plenty street parkings but pay attention to street signs. Some parking meter is up to 10pm. 2 level bar. Upstair area has a pool table, karaoke and seatings. 2 bathrooms. Friendly and accommodating owners. He helped us do a slideshow on tv. He put our holiday greeting message on marquee above bar. We were allowed to do a photo backdrop on second level. We rearranged tables/chairs to our preferences. Great sound system. Hidden Spot is a separate business inside the bar. You can ordered food directly with them. Best bar foods. Yummy wings, fries and Mac & cheese. Service is great. Reasonable prices. I came here for my partner's birthday and was surprised that they had a comedy night going on when we came but we stayed and watched and enjoyed the night. Love the karaoke set up - we had a blast using it and it's super awesome that it's a little bit empty at times so we had the whole place to ourselves. The song choices were up to date and really good. Thanks to the staff who gave us a free round of shots too for my partner's birthday! I also enjoyed the truffle fries and beer here - this feels like a place that I'd come for events and hosting parties more often since the set up is very new and modern and close to where I live. read more

The garlic noodles were so flavorful, and so rich plus it's served out of a Chinese takeout box! One of the best I've ever had honestly.. Next fave were the salt and pepper chicken wings. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside but packed with fragrant garlic and jalepenos! Cocktails were also so yummy and unique. The ones I tried had such depth and intricate flavors. The God of Mercy (Guan Yin) I could drink all day because of its delicate and refreshing flavors. We came on a Friday evening with a large party and fortunately the bar is large and spacious. We were able to all fit in the upstairs section which had enough tables and seating so that our group of 25+ was able to enjoy the night with no issues. Huge plus for the karaoke and pool table. We'd definitely recommend this place for any events you want to host a large party and I believe they do catering as well! Everyone was raving about the food. We had tots, fries, wings, and burgers. All were really good, especially the MVP wings.. highly recommend. Pricing for drinks were also lower than what you'd expect in SF and service was excellent. Spent a night on a weekend in Dogpatch and Aura Cinema was recommended by a friend. The place is a bit hidden and I almost missed it when Ubering there. The lighting inside is very dim. Seating was not much of a problem. You can find a table for two or table for a group. The service is slow, but cocktails were great. My server seemed to be doing multiple things at the same time like bartending and serving my table. Maybe the place is short-staffed? Give him a break! We came for cocktails and left with smiles. I forgot what cocktail I got, but it was good. The presentation was also a bonus. The food menu seems like typical American bar food. I think this place is a very average bar. I'd recommend coming here if you have a large group. Other than that, I do not think I'd come back. read more

We came here for a private event and I am glad we got to meet the owner of this bar. He is born and raised in San Francisco which is a very rare staple now in the san francisco. So if you are looking for a quiet place for drinks, host your own party / event, or private bookings this is your place. They have great street parking and its in a quiet place out on the street at night. The drinks were good, thanks to the bartenders who made drinks off menu and the food was awesome too! Aura Cinema is such a hidden gem in Dogpatch. We visited this place for our friend's birthday celebration and had an amazing time. As you step into the bar, you're welcomed with a dimly lit ambiance, friendly staff, and great live music. They were playing old-school R&B hits, which was a plus! The bartenders are speedy and provide excellent service. There's plenty of seating for large groups and an upper-level pool table. The atmosphere is great - the venue is spacious enough to feel intimate while still accommodating a decent-sized crowd. Their menu offers classic bar food with an Asian fusion twist. I ordered the Medic Burger, which was packed with flavor - it came with pesto and grilled mushrooms, & I devoured it within 5 minutes lol. My boyfriend enjoyed the Firefighter Karaage burger (warning: it is very spicy!), and we shared the MVP wings. It's the perfect spot to unwind, grab a casual drink, and catch a sports game. Came here after a company holiday party with about 20 of us. Ali and his staff were super welcoming and nice. They blocked off a private area for us with a pool table, water, and karaoke. It didn't feel cramped at all and had tons of space for sitting and standing. The employees regularly checked up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Drinks came out fast and it was awesome that they also had food. The wings and fries were exactly what we needed at 11pm. A hidden gem! It's such a vibe in there. There were enough people in there but not overly crowded. The bartenders were attentive and made us really tasty drinks. I've been coming to Aura since October (2022) since they opened up for karaoke. It is now my favorite venue for karaoke and surprisingly food! Really great bar food including smash burgers, delicious chicken wings and truffle fries!! The star though is the karaoke hosted by KJ Lauren Yellow. I went here on Wednesday March 1, 2023 10:08pm for karaoke, with KJ Lauren at the helm. Since the other bar I normally go to (the other kj messaged me he will not be there), I needed to have another karaoke option, I initially thought of pandora, then my friend mentioned Aura, so I decided to go there. As I entered the bar, it's very presentable, modern, fairly roomy. The drink/food menu is to retrieve from a qr code (I only ordered drinks, maybe I order some food in the future), I ordered a jameson shot with coke back($8), a guinness, heinenken, and corona beers ($7 each), bought two ginger beers ($3) (for my friend). As I walked up the stairs, I met a fellow karaoke friend, haven't since gold dust lounge, soon after other friends came in. Fair size crowd, the kj mentioned sound system is good(she's right), I sang 3 songs, crowd was into it. Several others were also good singers. I enjoyed myself, KJ Lauren always been fair in terms of each singer's opportunity to sing, I been to her other gigs in the past. The workers are cordial and it'll compel me to visit this bar more often in the future. read more
