I took clothes to get dry cleaned here on a Friday and I specifically asked them if they could do it in one day because I had a work trip I had to leave for on Sunday- they said yes and to make sure I came back before 6 on Saturday when they closed. I showed up Saturday morning at around 11 and they gave me clothes in the plastic and had me pay the ~$30. On Sunday I opened the bag and the clothes still smelled and were dirty. I am extremely disappointed that they did not tell me they had not been cleaned and still charged me. I will be disputing the charge on my credit card and am never using them again. read more

They got 2 year old stains off my satin dress. TWO YEAR STAINS (I know gross). Of which, two were double sided tapes that stuck to the dress and I was never able to remove - they got it out and it looks brand freaking new. I think that's all I need to say. read more

Just picked up a 2-piece suit I dropped off for dry cleaning. All of the exterior buttons on the suit jacket -- on the sleeves, on the front of the suit - are chipped, cracked, or split. I'm supposed to get married in this suit in 10 days. Yikes. Now I have to scramble to get replacement buttons and to get this fixed somewhere else. How does this sort of thing happen, let alone go unnoticed by the cleaners? I had a decent little run with this dry cleaner up until this point, now, unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I still get stuff cleaned here because it's inexpensive, but I ain't super happy about it. Once, I brought an embellished top there that said dry clean only and when I went to pick it up, they said they couldn't clean it because of the embellishments. They told me to hand wash it myself, which just made me realize what a racket dry cleaning is! To be fair, they are nice people and fine to go to if you want to hem the bottom of your jeans. But do NOT get anything good tailored here because it is really not professional level tailoring at all. read more

Even during Covid-19, Aura Cleaners picked up my clothes and delivered them on time. My wife had an expensive embroidered blouse that was stained. She was going to throw the blouse away because the stain was there for months on end. Ivy at Aura managed to get the stain out. It looks great. Excellent service at a great price. read more

I asked for my dress shirts to have its sleeves altered to be slimmer and have its pockets removed, they did an okay job. It wasn't near 100% perfect, the new sleeves fit okay in proportion to the rest of the shirt. Also, they said it would be ready by 5PM two days later, but when I got there they were only half done and I had to comeback at 7PM. read more

I have never had a worse experience with any merchant in nnew york. First, they did not pick up half my order despite me leaving a note that it was a large order and they would need to bring a big bag (which they should have known anyway). When I tried calling them no one picked up the phone for 3 hrs. FInally at noon someone picked up the phone and collected the rest of the order. They then completely changed the prices of my orders. In addition, It states that any order over $50 is given a discout of 10%, which they removed. Finally after receiving my order, A white coat of mine is now yellow with darker yellow stains all over it- it looks tye dyed. Completely ruined. Finally, I have a very nice down jacket with attached belt; when I recieved the jacket, the belt was completely broken and missing peices. The belt is not removable so it just dangles as I am unable to buckle it now. The worst part of all of this is that aura cleaners denies they did anything wrong - they said the belt was broken before I gave it to them, and that the white jacket was not white (in what world would i have a crazy looking tye dye-stained jacket). They re fuse to admit their mistakes and will not give me a refund. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, and have never written a review in my life but felt it necessary after this treatment. read more

I went to this cleaners for all three years that I lived in the neighborhood and never had a problem. The prices were great and the employees were always so friendly. I remember one time I had a stain on one of my new shirts and pointed it out since it just came back from the cleaners. They took it back and fixed it immediately, but after some thought I realized it was my fault since I had left a piece of candy in the pocket! I went back and insisted I pay since it was indeed my fault and the owner refused. After that I was a loyal customer and went back until I moved away. Thanks Aura! read more

These are great people. I've never had them do any tailoring, but their laundry and dry-cleaning service is excellent. A text. In all the years I've gobe there (maybe 20, and under two managements) I've never had garments lost, buttons broken, delivery delayed or service less than excellent. Prices are fine, too. And the young lady at the front desk knows everybody's name and--more important--their addess. Only reason I didn't give them five stars: the guy who works the desk when the young lady is absent never remembers me. Oh, well. There is no perfection. Not this side of the grave. read more
