Okay, it's official. This is the SPOT. All hearts and hugs to the owners and staff for creating and maintaining such a wonderful space. The service was A1, along with the food and hookah. I love how they have their flavors set up for customers to view and smell what they're ordering before committing to it. Their knowledge and flexibility with mixing the flavors is top tier. The decor is also super cute in every corner, that all you influencers and social media girlies will def get your next viral' post in any spot that you sit here. There's also a vast majority of games that you have access to using with your party at any time of the night! We came in on a weekend night that they had a DJ playing. He had a good mix and although he didn't play much of my requests, he definitely catered to majority of the crowd that was actively dancing and turning it up to make it even more immersive. Because there are so many options in Austin, I can't say that I've repeated going to any place again thus far. But I can definitely say that I will be back here more than once, over and over, until they get sick of me (hopefully not) but to make the point that - we just loved our experience tonight so much. A great place for some premium hookah and chill time. There's spacious seating both indoors and patio area. There's a great selection of regular and premium hookah as well as a variety of flavors to choose from. We got the pineapple hookah with happydaze flavors and it was really good. Been here multiple times now and it's always great and therefore has become our go to spot. They have belly dancing on Thursday nights which is super fun to watch. They have a DJ Friday nights I believe - haven't been for that yet but I'm sure would be great too. The hookah is always packed well. The staff are always very kind. Can I give 6 stars? Seriously this place was PHENOMENAL! It's for the hookah enthusiasts and the people looking for a chill place to smoke and hang out. The table next to me was literally playing dominoes. Cameron and Jessica love what they do. They are knowledgeable about types of hookahs and shisha. The pricing is great for what they provide. They're not getting over but making genuinely good hookahs. We ordered the premium hookah. Perfection. The atmosphere is a mix of modern and traditional for a hookah lounge. There is a front patio and they are adding a patio out back as well. It is all vibes! They have standard drinks available but you can BYOB for a fee. We ordered door dash to the establishment which in my opinion added to the experience. It felt like a family. The owners are very hands on and give great flavor recommendations. I was visiting Austin from NYC with a group of 3 friends and we were in search of a good hookah spot. We stumbled on Aura and honestly this was the best part of our trip. We came to Aura on 3 different nights and every single night was amazing. The hookah is high quality and lasts so long - also you always have coal changes offered. One of the nights they had a DJ and he played some good music. It's a good place to study, to enjoy some hookah, to play games with friends. Honestly we were hooked! On our last night in Austin we stopped by for some good hookah and played some card games. Oh and they have some really good tea! Highly highly recommend if you're visiting Austin or in Austin! I found this super cute & vibey hookah lounge right around the corner from my place, and the owners Cam & Jess are so sweet! It's decorated like no other hookah spot I've ever seen; you can tell that they really pride themselves on the aesthetic of Aura & quality of their hookahs. They just opened in December so I am super happy to be supporting local small biz, especially ones who seem to invest in curating really cool experiences. They have cool options to add to your hookah that I've never seen offered in Oregon which makes this place unique. They also let you BYOB. Stores in the same plaza. Great place to chill. What a terrible experience! It took them about 45 minutes to get a hookah ready. The owner seems to be a little strange and kept talking about how great the place is. No it's not. Expect high $$, extremely loud music, ugly decor, super uncomfortable couches (looks like self-made using wood panels from Home Depot). The hookah itself had dark burning tobacco smoke producing carcinogens - welcome to lung cancer. It is very sad and unfortunate for Austin when relatively young people open hookah bar without any understanding of dangers of incorrect made hookah smoking that causes lung cancer. Moreover, they think that they can treat customers poorly and that's going to be ok, no one cares. Terrible experience! read more

I've been following this place on Instagram for awhile, finally had the chance to check them out. It was definitely the vibe I needed after a long work week! The owners Cameron & Jessica are super sweet and Jessica really knows her stuff about hookahs and gave us great recommendations. Based on her recommendations we had the house mix Super Peachy with an ice hose add on, it was so smooth and so flavorful. They were on top of changing the coals and very accommodating with any questions we had about other flavors and add ons. To be honest it was one of the better hookah experiences we've had in Austin. We made a reservation to be on the safe side and glad we did. The couches along the walls fill up the fastest but really anywhere you get to sit is fine. It's a very open space inside including outside patio seating. It being a Texas summer already w the heat I'm glad there was an option to be indoors. They have different events weekly and monthly so be sure to follow the social media pages. Around 11p they dimmed the lights and turned up the music and again it was a whole vibe. It's BYOB and they supplied our table w cups and ice. I'm so glad we checked them out and I can't wait to go back! Almost forgot, there's also a food truck outside that you can order food from and they will bring it inside to your table. We've been to so many different hookah spots all over the Austin area and we have never experience a more welcoming atmosphere.
