However, the scheduling process has consistently been a nightmare. My appointment times are almost never what they were originally set as, and there's always some sort of issue or change. Unfortunately, this hasn't just happened at this location -- it's been my experience at almost every LaserAway location I've visited. As a busy professional, time is extremely important to me. Constant scheduling inconsistencies are a major inconvenience. I even attempted to cancel my LaserAway plan because of this ongoing issue, but I wasn't allowed to. My facial was done by Monica Jorge, and she really took the time to understand my skin so that she could customize her approach to treating it. I had been using retinoids, so Monica was super gentle when performing the diamond glow facial. She took the time to explain every step of the process as she was treating my skin, and ensured that I was relaxed the entire time. My skin is normally very reactive and I was a little worried that I would experience some redness/dryness or irritation after the facial; however, that was not the case at all! Monica prioritized hydration in my treatment, and my skin looks great now (a few days after my facial). I had no irritation at all and my skin is definitely smoother to the touch and less congested. After driving an hour to get there, I was informed upon arrival that my appointment had been canceled. I was told a voicemail had been left, but I never received it. What was most frustrating was that the staff made me feel as though accommodating me was an inconvenience, despite the cancellation being completely outside of my control. The experience only became more disappointing from there. During the treatment, I was told that this was merely a "demo" and that I should not expect any results. At no point in the promotion, booking process, or appointment confirmations was the service described as a demonstration treatment. Had that been disclosed upfront, I could have made an informed decision about whether the trip was worth my time. In total, I spent two hours driving round trip and nearly 1.7 hours at the office for a treatment that I was ultimately told was not intended to produce results. The lack of communication, poor handling of the scheduling issue, and misleading expectations surrounding the promotion left me feeling that my time was not valued. I hope Sanctuary Cosmetics improves its communication and transparency so future clients have a better experience than I did.

Before leaving, I had been told that if I experienced any issues, I should call the office. When I did, the receptionist simply told me I would have to pay. I explained that parking was supposed to be complimentary and asked if she could assist in resolving the issue. Instead, she repeated that I needed to pay and added that if I later purchased a treatment package, they would credit me for the parking fee. The amount itself wasn't the issue. It was the principle. As a prospective customer visiting your center for the first time, I expected a higher level of customer care. A small parking issue could have been handled with empathy and a willingness to help, leaving me with a positive first impression. Instead, I felt dismissed. To add to my disappointment, the technician I met with told me she would call me the Monday after I returned from vacation to discuss next steps. It has now been three weeks, and I have yet to receive that call. It leaves me wondering whether my experience with the parking situation influenced the follow-up, or whether my interest as a potential client simply wasn't valued. I was genuinely considering investing in one of Sanctuary's treatment packages. However, the combination of the dismissive customer service and the lack of follow-up left a poor impression.
