Ordered for carryout: 2 orders of four-cheese ravioli & a large thin sausage pizza. Total was $46.76. Ordering online was easy to do and quick and picking up was also quick and efficient. There is a specific carry-out door to use for this. That was easy to find and use. The food was decent - although we ordered marinara and alfredo sauces with our ravioli and only received the alfredo. It was still decent. The pizza is good, not excellent, but good. The sausage was made of chunks and had a good taste. The cheese is very good and this pizza has a crunch and I would go again. For the ravioli - the menu says: "Four-Cheese Toasted Ravioli Eight crispy breaded ravioli's, stuffed with our four-cheese blend. Served with your choice of dipping sauce." We ordered two orders of the four-cheese, and normally that would be 16 total...but for some reason we only received 12 total. I assumed two orders would be 8 x 2 = 16? For that reason and the missing marinara sauce I deducted a star. It's not like they were crazy busy on Monday night. read more

When I was ordering via the website at about 3pm on a Wednesday, I selected delivery and added my Mom's address (I was visiting her from So. IN) and the website said that the ASAP option was estimated at 1 hour and 45 minutes. By the time I finished submitting the order that would put the delivery arriving at about 5pm and our friends were arriving at 4:30 so that seemed close enough. So at 3:13pm I submitted our order and took a screenshot of the confirmation, which said "Scheduled Delivery 04:58 PM". I had put in my email address but still have not received an email confirmation or any emails from them. So at about 3:45pm I was getting dressed so my mom answered the door when the pizza arrived. Yes, at 3:45 it arrived! So now we'll have cold pizza by the time our guests arrive, or dried-out pizza if we put it in the oven to keep it warm! I called the location we got it from, and was told "we're not busy, why would it say an hour and 45 minutes?" and "when the website says it'll arrive in an hour, we mean it'll arrive anytime within the next hour"... I pointed out to her that it doesn't say that on the website anywhere AND the confirmation screen says it is a SCHEDULED delivery for 4:58pm, not a order to arrive sometime between now and 4:58pm. She didn't apologize, she was just defensive and trying to make it MY fault for not knowing how they do things even though it doesn't say any of her excuses anywhere in the ordering process! Finally she said "We can make another one, do you WANT another one?" I said no, because then we'd have a lot more pizza than we need and already we don't have much room for any leftovers in my Mom's fridge, I just wanted them to know that they'd screwed up and hopefully do something to keep this from happening again. She seemed to just be bored and annoyed with the whole conversation so I said thanks and hung up. So many better pizza places around, but our guests like Aurelios the best so we ordered here this time... but in the future we'll stick with Langel's or Marcos since they care about their customers and scheduled times (and their pizza is better IMO). read more

Met a friend for lunch at Aurelio's in Munster. I had not been in the building since they rebuilt and remodeled a few years ago. It was about 12:40 in the afternoon and the place was in chaos. There was no host/hostess at the front and we were finally seated by a very harried waitress. To be fair, they may have had a party going on in their party room, but it didn't appear they had enough staff on hand. The restaurant is very stark, with little decor or character. If you follow some of the other local Aurelio's that have weekday buffets, you see that besides pizza and salad bar, they offer a rotating selection of chicken, salads, pasta, sloppy joes, etc. Munster's buffet was very limited to green salad with a few toppings, corkscrew pasta with add-you-own marinara sauce, garlic bread and pizza. We must have come at the end of the rush as the party room soon cleared out and there were only a few occupied tables in the restaurant. My friend pointed out that while the tables were wiped there was a LOT on food on the floor under the tables. Won't be back. read more

The lunch buffet is pretty anemic. 2 kinds of pizza, green salad and pasta noodles with marinara. Not worth the money.

I can't even explain how much I miss this pizza!! Every time I come back home I come in at least 3 times before I leave.

This is the quality pizza that you grew up with. Delicious crust that's crispy on the bottom but pillowy on the inside, always full of toppings. Salads are fresh and a nice addition to the heaviness of the pizza. However, the prices have gotten out of control. I understand that everything is going up, but $16 for an antipasto salad is just not going to happen. Even if you can't spring for the salad, they are one of the few places in the area that offer creamy garlic dressing, and you can order extra by the pint or quart and take it home. This is one of those places that has been around for such a long time even though this isn't the original building. Throughout the years I have had their pizza and it was the most recent visit that confirmed that I just don't love their sweet pizza sauce. This is purely subjective but I struggle to eat too much which can be a good problem I suppose. I love the stuffed pizza. The wings are terrible. Tomato bread is good and their pizza is good. I like it all except the wings.

We went in for the lunch buffet. Needless to say, it looked very sparsely filled and quite un appetizing. The pasta was a corkscrew shape without any sauce and there were very few pieces of pizza available. There was a bowl with spaghetti sauce to add to the pasta, which also seemed unappetizing. The salad looked like they opened one of those pre mixed bags and put it on the buffet. On the basis of this visit as well as a previous sandwich order I would not recommend returning. Service was great, however cheddar cheese on a pizza is your biggest mistake. Having another cheese besides mozarella totally ruined the cheese pizza. I don't think I would ever order the pizza again if this cheddar cheese blend is on all of your pizzas. It made the pizza taste weird. read more

Their pizza is consistently well made. I'm a big fan of thin crust spinach. Their sauce is sweet and the pizza texture is absolutely awesome. It's crunchy and chewy together. Sometimes the pizza can be salty but the sauce complements that fact. I like their pasta and meatballs and their stuffed ravioli. They are all well made like home cooked food. We have never had any issues with their wait staff. We had one issue in like 20 years of eating at Aurelio's but I blame the specific girl answering the phone. I called and asked what time they closed. For example, they closed at 10 let's say. I called at like 9:35. The girl said they close at 9:45 and didn't want to take the order. So I took my cue and didn't place an order. I had my wife call next and order without any issue. Come to find out when we got there that they closed at 10. read more

Came to this place because I was staying down the street for work. The pizza was good, but my server was excellent! Not only did she apologize to me for being busy (not a bad thing, maybe under-staffed) but comp'd me an item for having to wait. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her props for being awesome, (all I remember is she had shorter black hair, and super sweet!) This is my favorite pizza place! We are moving to Munster soon and we are most excited about this restaurant being so close. All Aurelios aren't equal but this one is definitely one of the good ones. Try one with double pepperoni. The bread sticks are awesome. It reheats well too since the pizzas are so big you will have left overs. The pizza has a light sweetness to it that isn't over powering and the crust is delicious. It's a little pricier then 'Pizza Hut' but you get what you pay for. read more

I'm a total carnivore, but there is nothing worse than chewy, fatty meat on pizza. I order piles of veggies and cheese from pizza places I am not familiar with in order to avoid that nasty crunch when biting into a fat pebble. Yuck! Aurelio's Pizza one the other hand has the best sausage pizza I have ever had. It's tender with the right amount of spice. If you wind up with your vegetarian friend for the evening, no sweat. The spinach and garlic pizza is excellent. It does have a kick though (be careful). The calzones are wonderful too. I have never been disappointed with the toppings. As for appetizers, I recommend the tomato bread. It's simple garlic bread with sliced tomatoes and cheese. read more

Bada Bing Bada Boom! as always with pizza joints in this area I have to give me review disclaimer: there are lot of pizza places in the area. None of them are to die for. They all have there own little slant on pizza pie try them all until you find one you like and stick with it. Aurelios is one of the better ones if you like the thin crust like I do I also like there sauce its got a little zing to it. the cob salad is pretty good and over all enjoy this pie! If your dining in take the few extra min. and drive over to Homewood to the original location its a fun place to grab a pizza or if you eat at the munster location it pretty much tastes the same just less of a drive for me. Bread sticks are good to! they do seem to take there time at either place but its nothing to keep you from going and enjoying it...... read more

Simply put; this particular location serves up some undercooked crappy pizza. Group of people didn't want to eat it after a long day of drinking. Munster location is horrible, go to Homewood, totally different and actually worth the price there. read more
