Just walked in for dinner tonight and it was DELICIOUS! The service was AMAZING as well -- the waiter was working so hard! We ordered the Caesar salad, caprese, cheesy garlic bread, carbonara, gnocchi, and apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I absolutely loved every single dish and will definitely be coming back! It's also a very good vibe inside and they have big windows so you can enjoy the view outside. Thanks for an amazing dinner!

Had a quick lunch during an impromptu stopover in Sausalito. Cute neighborhood haunt with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Nice menu of offerings - from starters to pizza, pastas, and other Italian fare. I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza. They describe it as thin crust but it's closer to hand tossed. Still delicious.

Aurora was a little more formal than we had expected - but it's one of the first eateries when you drive into Sausalito. Ambience - it's a little dark and stale on the inside and they were somewhat understaffed so slower than expected. Arugula salad While it's true the word "beet" isn't in the title, you still wish the salad was better balanced with more beets. It's a lot of spicy arugula to digest without beets (or nuts or cheese) to equalize. Papardelle Bolognese Homemade noodles and delicious. Portion size on the smaller end, but still very satisfying. Sautéed Spinach I know it's just a side but I really liked how it was prepared. Just the right amount of salt and not overcooked where you completely lose the structure of the leaves and stalks. That's all

My new favorite dinner spot in Sausalito! Came here with my bf on a Friday evening and ordered the Caesar Salad, Margherita Pizza, and their Lasagna. Everything was delicious, each dish was balanced in flavor and generously sauced without being overdone. For dessert, we had their Tiramisu and it was the perfect treat to end our meal. The service here was friendly and attentive. Such a cute spot for date night. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Sausage pizza - Funghi e Salsiccia. Could not get a better photo, but in reality, it was a very visually attractive pizza!

Great little gem in Sausalito! After talking with my favorite AI, decided to try this place which is only a four minute drive from the Boardwalk. This was ideal for my goal: to find quality food, not tourist crappy food. Had Caesar salad and 2 pizzas that we shared in our group of three. Spent $74 total plus tip. Server was owner, very friendly. This place had a really welcoming vibe. At first, I wasn't sure because of the white table cloths, but it ended up being just the right balance of a little bit of fancy and just the right ambience. It was very pleasant. Perfect for a romantic or family dinner. Affordable and tasty. Would definitely return.

We stopped at Aurora for lunch on our way back from a visit to Muir Woods. Aurora is situated on the way into Sausalito and there's street parking, which makes it easier to avoid the crowds closer to the water. This is a big plus in my book. Ambiance and Service: The interior of Aurora is lined by massive windows with nice views of Sausalito (but not of the water, unfortunately). I was pleased when the host, who was also acting as a server, bartender, and barista, sat us at table in the corner with the best view. He was juggling a few tables at the same time by himself, but we never felt neglected. The interior walls and linens are light which contrasts nicely with the wooden floors, tables, and the dark-colored bar. Food: After our hike at Muir Woods, I was ravenous. Fortunately, the food at Aurora was quite good. I ordered the salmon alla siciliana (think capers, basil, and tomato sauce). The salmon was excellent -- perfectly cooked and the tomatoey sauce complimented it well. Accompanying the salmon were mashed potatoes and pan-roasted zucchini, broccoli, and carrots. The veggies, which were surprisingly good, were cooked al dente and with just the right amount of salt and butter. This dish made my hangry heart happy. My partner opted for the house made pappardelle with bolognese. He shared a taste with me -- it was comforting and meaty and everything you want in a bolognese. He completely cleared his plate, which I firmly believe speaks volumes about a dish. My mother-in-law did not have much of an appetite, so she ordered and finished the proscuitto-wrapped cantaloupe. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by our visit to Aurora. I'd absolutely recommend a visit if you are in Sausalito, particularly if you are looking to avoid the regular tourists traps by the water in Sausalito.

This is a small neighborhood Italian restaurant nestled along a busy street of houses where the portions are great and the service even better. However, the authenticity of the food was mediocre - not bad but not that slow-simmered-for-eight-hours authentic kind of sauce. The cheesy bread was definitely cheesy.

Last week some coworkers and I had Aurora's pizza for lunch when our boss ordered it to be part of a coworker's birthday celebration. What a delicious treat! The pepperoni had the perfect amount of cheese. The veggie slice was filling. And the crust was tasty too! Def plan to stop in the restaurant sometime.

First time at this restaurant very nice experience. Had a long day with a group of friends from a hike and beach day so we were hungry. Very good service and food. Definitely nice ambience with great views to outside. Lighting was low but had these very unique table lights to provide lighting onto the table without over powering.. any way we got different dishes ravioli, spaghetti calamari. Sounded like everyone pretty much enjoyed just overheard some dishes were spicy and they didn't expect that. I got the ravioli polio very creamy soft and nice amount of spices/veggies mixed in. Definitely recommend.

The service was a little shaky, but overall we greatly enjoyed our evening! Food & Drink: We joined the waitlist when we arrived, and got some drinks while we waited in the bar. We really liked our cocktails, with the Margarita and Aperol Spritz being two highlights. Once seated, we ordered the Shishito Peppers, Pear Pizza, and Olive Pizza. The peppers were nicely cooked and salted, and they paired well with our drinks. The pear pizza was surprisingly delicious with gorgonzola, nuts, and some leaves. The olive pizza was also good with its' greek inspired toppings of feta cheese, olives, and red peppers. For dessert we tried the affogato and Bocce dessert, which were both good. Though my affogato had mostly melted on arrival. Service & Ambiance: The only issue we encountered was the service. Our evening got off to a slightly bumpy start because the waitlist notification was sent to my phone's spam folder, meaning I wasn't notified and we almost missed our opportunity to be seated. For this reason, it would be good if staff could check the bar before removing customers from the waitlist (I told them that we would be waiting in the bar, which is a short distance from the host desk). Another issue was that the pizzas took a long time to come out. Fortunately, management made it up to us by giving us a free salad and free meatballs. This was a classy gesture and definitely helped! (Hopefully this was just a one-off situation). Finally, I was surprised by the amount of kids at this establishment. Considering this is prominently marketed as a bar, there was quite a lot of unruly children running (and climbing) about, which did affect the ambiance somewhat. Management may want to consider whether allowing children is worth it, as they somewhat spoil the lovely waterside ambiance. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would come again!

I was left waiting about 45 minutes with no update--no notice of a delay, no mention that there might not be a driver available, nothing. What made it worse was calling the restaurant for help. The response I received felt dismissive, and I was simply told the order was canceled. There was no effort to assist or provide any explanation. Yes, I received a refund, but that's not the point.
