This is a cute old fashioned candy store. All of their bulk candy is in wrappers. Nothing entirely loose. The bulk candy is in jars and they don't sell by weight. It's five pieces for a dollar or a bag full for $7. It's a bit on the pricey side. They have some international candy, although I've seen better selection at other small candy stores. Prices are a bit high, depending on what you get. If you want to patronize a mom and pop shop though, it's a bright and cheery environment. I highly recommend taking a visit to AusSum Candy! It's the best candy shop in the San Fernando Valley. They have unique candy, things you will not find on the shelves at your local grocery store. Open while the stay at home is in place! Looking for a sugar fix? In need of candy, ice cream, or a sweet / cute gift? This is a great place to grab and go or phone in your order. They even have curbside pick up! Today's visit was not planned. We were driving by and noticed it was open. We decided to pop in to support this local business. It was similar to my first visit but the hours have been modified due to the pandemic and everyone (myself and bf included) were masked up. There were also signs on the door with social distancing and safety protocols. We ended up with a large size candy bag ($8.00) which I filled with Sunkist candies and taffy. Small bags were $6.00. When I went to pay, I received a small adorable "AusSam" reusable bag that they were giving away for their 1 year anniversary. Service was warm and friendly. This was a fun visit and a nice break during this time of the "sheltering in place." The grocery store, Target, and home improvement stores can get old... Keeping it short and "sweet." Don't let the unassuming storefront fool you. Behind the doors lies lies an adorable and well-decorated candy store with friendly and personable owners. Located in the heart of old town GH, this candy store is a great addition to the area and community. It has an old fashioned vibe and was clean and well organized. A large assortment of candies and a little selection of drinks were available for purchase. It was a fun store to pop into. We needed a candy store like this that is not in the mall. They offer a variety of candy, some of your old favs such as Chico sticks, bit o' honey, and my fav is the freeze dried candies. I always find parking in front on the Main Street but make sure to call before going because the hours may change. I would have given 5 stars but it's a little pricey but it's worth it. read more

They do have a wide variety of international candies, though most can be bought at Cost Plus or something similar. You can't pay for taffy/candy by weight unfortunately. The smallest size you can buy is a $7 mini bag, which is really small. They also sell ice cream there. read more

Cute candy store with many fun and unique sweets. They had some fun stuffed animals in the shape of candy. Also really enjoyed the local sweets that were available as well. Great customer service and super friendly. They also gave me a peaches n cream taffy for free in celebration for their new neighbors "What a Peach". Another delightful family owned addition along Old Granada Village. My daughter attends Mathnasium which is right next door and we have been patiently waiting for this shop to open. Today was our day to walk in and see the types of candies and treats they sell. They have a wide variety of candy choices to satisfy any age. You have the choice of buying in bulk ( large bags $8 or small bags $6 and you) or buying items individually. There is also specialty drinks and ice cream treats. Stumbled upon the store after going around the food trucks on a Friday night. They were about to close, but we asked if we can come check the place out and we were welcomed. We experienced the best customer service from a candy store, ever. I wish I caught his name, but from my understanding, he's the dad. He gave us a tour of the shop and I felt like I was following Willy Wonka touring the candy factory. AusSam has great variety of candies and we came out with a couple of their chocolate bars and some Mexican candy in a bag. Super cute interior design in this candy shop! Someone obviously knew what they were doing! It's really magical when you walk in and small details like the wall paper were even well thought out. Customer service was great. Son and mom duo (Austin and Sam of AusSam Candy) were very friendly and offered me a sample of Tamalitoz Mexican Imported Candy. It was so tasty and a reason why I will go back! I haven't seen it anywhere else and it is more expensive online so I will have to stop in soon and stock up. Their other candy (Snickers, Hershey's, Sourpunch, etc.), which you can find at big chain markets or stores, is more expensive. I love supporting small business but I am worried that it may not be sustainable. This place totally has the vibe of a beautifully designed Disneyland ice cream parlor/candy shop but for now just a few frozen treats located in a freezer near the back that you can purchase and take home with you. read more

My husband and I went in here today because our neighbor mentioned how nice it is. We were so pleasantly surprised! An adorable new candy shop in Chatsworth! This shop has only been open 3 weeks and going great! It's full of old fashioned candy like Holloway bars, Double Bubble gum, taffy, sugar free candy and much much more!! I don't eat much candy now, but I saw lots of candy I ate as a kid! They also gave me a sample of the tamalitoz Lip smacking mango and omg...this from mexico.. I love this store! Much better selection than Rocket Fizz, great prices, and it's super cute. We got a large bag stuffed to the brim with candy for $8, easily a pound, and we've been snacking on it for the past few days. The owner is incredibly knowledgable and friendly, he even gave our 5-year old daughter a free chocolate flower just to see her face light up, and boy did she deliver. We now make it a point to hit up the store for dessert after getting dinner at the food trucks every Friday. read more
