We came on Friday at 6:30 pm and saw a sign asking us to wait 15 minutes. We decided to walk around the mall and returned at 7:15 pm, but unfortunately no one had come back. It was really disappointing, and it left a bad impression. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning.

My first time to be here. The store is clean, organized and well lit. The sales associate is accommodating, she gave us time to decide. Plenty of flavors to choose from. Check in to Yelp to get a 10% discount.

Crepe w/o whip cream Lol since they decided for me.

Famous Apples You get 3 stars for taste and the other two missing are because the attendant behind the corner wasn't the friendliest. No smile No sense of humor No nothing he was just blah. It's a dessert place Lol but it is stressed spelled backwards (dont kill the messenger) Anyway I brought my son to fulfill his sweet tooth which was one order ended up with two smh Lol. Crepes with banana's strawberry and Nutella I asked for whipped cream but didn't get it on there. Its ok I'll be back and hoping this time the young man behind the counter has a smile on his face. Life is too short so have that smile and that dessert to go with it :) xoxo-

Yum! If you are looking for a tasty caramel sweet treat, I'd recommend the Toffee apple, the snickers apple and the pecan apple! Delicious! Highly recommend!

Cute little hidden store at the mall, with some really pretty and unique candy apples. Prices seem fair, starting at $6 for Carmel. You can get some really fancy ones for a few bucks more. I wish they used paper or cardboard containers instead of plastic containers- I asked her if they had the option, she said "yes" and then handed me the apple in a plastic container- put into a paper bag. If you like candy apples- I would give them a try!

A bit disappointed to say the least. When I went in today, they were out of the original Peanuts caramel apple (which is the only reason I made the drive from LA) but no worries, I decided to try the Granola Apple as it's also covered in caramel but with granola instead of peanuts. When I got home, the apple tasted awful. The caramel wasn't caramel at all, it was almost like a toffee flavor and the texture was grainy, rather gross and completely falling off the apple from how thick it was. I love Famous Apples but this was not a great experience. I'm not sure if they changed the caramel they were using or what exactly the situation was but I ended up throwing the apple away after one bite. Waste of money.

Sometimes.. a good dessert is needed after a great meal and thank goodness for Famous Apples. I'll do a pros and cons to make it easy Pros - The selection of caramel and chocolate apples is great. I love the original caramel and nuts. - The cakes.. the Oreo one is a must - The size.. what seems like a little is actually a lot - Love that you can choose sliced Cons - it is a bit pricey - Chocolate is a no for me. Caramel all day. Overall, easy 5 stars for me. The caramel and apple mix is too good to pass up. Even the cheesecake flavor one is delicious. A must try for takeout or relaxing nearby.

The cafe is 2 floors with lots of seating, both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely a great spot to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey Latte and the Popcorn Chicken. My drink came out pretty fast, while the popcorn chicken took around 10 minutes. I loved the latte! The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking. Overall, I really liked the space and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks!

Do not order their seasonal drink item Passionfruit mint lemonade, no lemon juice, no mint Nothing citrusy, not even passion fruit purée, really disappointed. Check customer uploaded pics before you order the drinks Please! Dont fall for their Instagram images. Doesn't match the actual drink ordered. Not coming back Many new cafe options in the valley

This review is long overdue…read more I've been a House Roots regular since they opened their SFV shop many years ago and frequent the bakery as well. This location is the newest (only about a year or so?) of the three. Each store has a similar and yet distinct style/focus. This shop is located on the ground level of an apartment/leasing space, so if you're not looking for it, it can be missed/mistaken. Parking at first glance also seems difficult but don't worry, there's plenty in the parking garage behind the shop/ below the apartment building. The shop itself is beautiful! Compared to the other two locations, this location is most spacious; There's outdoor seating as well and indoor seating. It's pretty family friendly and equally accommodating to students/working professionals who need a place to do some work. There's a grab and go section, for those who need a quick bite as well as some food items- pastries and burritos. Overall, the environment is pretty relaxed and chill. As far as drinks go, I've tried several- everything from the drip, pour overs, espresso shots, americanos, sweet lattes, and pictured, both matcha and einspanner dreams from the last time I came with my husband and parents. Pricing is fair but most importantly, all their drinks are good! The espresso is good consistently which in turn makes all their coffee drinks delicious. All the speciality drinks are not overly sweet and well balanced, unless requested. Specifically from the last visit, the vanilla cream on top of the einspanner/matcha dreams were to die for. My husband, who isn't a coffee drinker also mentioned how good the matcha was, even with almond milk (he's lactose). If you want to venture out/explore something out of the usual drip or americano, I recommend the einspanner or matcha dream drinks! Besides the good coffee, all the Houseroots locations are set apart by their hospitality, and this shop is unparalleled. Every time I've come to grab a cup on my way to visit my parents or for an afternoon pick me up, all the baristas have been welcoming and warm. Northridge is always a treat, can't wait to come back when in the area!

You can either order with the staff or order through the kiosk on the right side. You have an option to type on the text box if you need to change the milk to oat milk, for example. I always ask for just in case they do have oat milk so if you have any special requests, depending on how busy it is, might be better to talk to someone to order!!! The Tiger Tea was really delicious and was a good amount of sweet. The Mermaid drink was a fav from my group. I really liked the Milo and the Ube Milk teas. One thing to note: they open late--12:30 PM. Parking was easy, and there's a decent amount of seating inside. I happened to be the first customer of the day. Don't expect the warm, smiley Filipino hospitality right away--just head straight to the counter and place your order on the iPad. As for the halo-halo, it's definitely not your traditional version. It wasn't bad by any means, but it's quite different from the halo-halo I grew up with and the ones I enjoy whenever I visit Manila. If you're looking for a modern take on the classic dessert, you may appreciate it more than I did. Prices are pretty standard for Los Angeles, and they accept Apple Pay, which is always a plus.
