I was not planning on leaving a review but I changed my mind. I brought my vehicle here for repairs in January after a hit and run. My car had a large dent in the front driver side fender. After I picked my vehicle up and left the repair shop, I noticed that the door edge guard on the drivers door was completely different than the rest of the door guards and had been placed about 6 inches too high. I also noticed 2 areas that had damage that was not there prior to me dropping the car off. One of the vertical panels next to the drivers door window was significantly chipped with the top layer peeling away. There is also the same chipping on the horizontal panel below the rear driver side window, see photos. Once I brought this to their attention, the door guards were all replaced as well as the vertical panel on the drivers door window. The day before bringing my vehicle in for these repairs, I sent an email addressing the chip on the back driver side door panel. Since I live on the opposite side of town, I wanted to ensure that part was going to be replaced too before bringing my car all the way over there again. I never received a response to my email, so I called and was asked to go ahead and bring the car in so they could see it. But while I was there waiting for the other repairs to be completed, there was no mention of the part I had asked about in my email. I didn't say anything and I just left after the door guards and vertical drivers door window panel were fixed. While the chip is small, it was not there when I dropped the car off and its damage that was not there prior to the car being left with the shop. It's hot in Texas, and eventually that chipping will start getting worse in the heat, and I will be the one that has to replace that part. I also do not appreciate the way that my email was ignored and just swept under the rug. Those are the facts. I hate to leave a negative review, but there's still damage on my car that was done while my car was at this shop. It's damage that I'll eventually have to get repaired myself, whether it's 6 months from now, or 5 years from now. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this business. read more

I took my 2020 Corolla here for a front bumper fix. They couldn't get it on right and the paint job had fish eyes it. Left wax and polish in the seems of the panels. The guy who worked on it left my car idle. Burning half a tank of gas for some reason. Find somewhere else. You'll spend more than needed to get your car fixed. read more

I used these guys on a recommendation. I can not say enough great things. Insurance repair on a headlight for a BMW has a lot of potential for headaches and heartbreaks. None of that happened here. They got my car in on a Monday, dropped me off a the airport, and worked on my behalf with an insurance company that wanted to use a "cheaper" part. Before I responded, Wayne gave me a call and said, "Let me take care of it." He did and got the right part at a fair price. I had my car back on Friday and it was washed. Don't bother looking around. I called and Wayne was very responsive, saying they could get me in that day. I was asked to come in to properly assess the damage to get a quote. I cannot sing enough praises for Austins Collision & Custom Body Works. My experience was absolutely phenomenal. Excellent customer service and quality work are at the heart of this establishment. For starters, my husband hit a rat with hooves in my Tacoma and after searching Yelp I had 3 body shops picked out and planned on getting quotes from all 3, like a prudent consumer should. Austins was my second shop and after a thorough assessment from Wayne I knew that there was no need to look any further. Wayne (shop foreman) spent about 10-15 minutes scoping out the damage and actually found additional damage that the 1st shop missed (FYI - if you're interested, my negative review of that shop is listed in my reviews). In addition, Wayne physically touched my truck and was able to assess that a little plastic piece under my head light was still useable and not in need of repair (also missed by first shop), which helped to save money. Austins coordinated with my insurance company and kept me updated along the way. Suprisingly, it was an extensive amount of damage, but was completed rather quickly. After a week I had my truck back, looking like she just rolled off the showroom floor. The paint was pristine and the damage unrecognizable. Not to mention, they washed my truck and the interior of the cab was kept super clean! (Don't you hate it when you have work done and you find grease and dirt on the steering wheel or on the door handle?!) Lastly, one of the clips for a small piece that was repaired broke a couple of weeks later and since their work has a lifetime warranty, Austins replaced the piece for me in a timely fashion. So turns out the shop completely missed half of the issue. I've been driving around screwing up my tires since the support beam for my tire is bent and the tire is still cracked. So now I have to have it towed to another shop since they completely missed the alignment and the cracked and bent tire. So very disappointed in them for letting me drive off the lot without fully fixing my car. They lost out on even more money but completely ignoring half of the car. read more

The Breakdown: - Clean waiting room with comfortable chairs and cool but not cold a/c! Can it be? Why, yes... yes it can! The restroom is spotless too! - I had accent body molding installed (which I surely would have effed up), and Rodney took the time to go over how it should look, and he did a perfect job. - Great price! I like to install things myself when I can, but like I said, I would have jacked this up royally. The price for install was very reasonable! - Great customer service is always a plus, and even though I was only getting basic work done, I was still treated like a valued customer. Also, I wish I got her name, but the woman at the desk was very friendly and polite both over the phone and while I was waiting. - We discussed other work I'd like done, and I was welcomed to come back with any future projects. The Bottom Line: I was spoken to like an adult, I was treated as a valued customer despite only having a small relatively cheap request. The time and accuracy used to install my trim lets me know they treated my car just as delicately as any of the GORGEOUS cars they have in the parking lot. I can't say enough about the quality of work done here. Rodney and his crew of professionals made my Corvette look good as new after a vandal gouged the door and roof. He convinced my insurance company to pay for a new carbon fiber roof since the damage was irreparable to the one I had. He also took care of some haze from compound buffing that I didn't notice right away then fixed it quickly after I brought it in. After taking my Nissan Juke to a couple of body shops for estimates on getting a rear spoiler installed (and not being happy with these estimates), I gave Austins Collision & Custom Body Works a call for another price comparison. I spoke with Wayne by phone and he told me that I needed to swing by the shop so he can give me a more accurate estimate. Wayne then took a look at my car/part and after explaining how the rear spoiler would be attached he offered to start installation on the spot (which was great because he knew that I had a hard time getting off work during the week). In what seemed like no time at all, Wayne called me out of the waiting area to see how I thought my rear spoiler looked and I couldn't have been more pleased. I would highly recommend Austins Collision because they did an A+ job, the installation was done quickly and all of the employees were friendly and respectful. 100% recommend Rodney, Wayne and the team at Austin Collision. I had extreme hail damage after driving through a storm for 10 minutes then getting hit again after we were parked. When we got back to town, I called the dealership and they were indifferent, unpleasant and told me that they could see me in 3 weeks and it would maybe take up to 45 days based on my modest estimate-they hadn't even seen my car (which was preliminary based on what the adjuster first saw). I was not happy with that interaction and decided to shop it out. Within the first 30 seconds on the phone with Rodney I knew things would be great! I went by that afternoon and he had me in the shop two days later. I was on my way out of town and Rodney gave me and my suitcase a ride to the office that morning in the middle of Friday morning Austin rush hour. After having his guys come in and check it out, we found out the damage was way worse than the eye could see and I had nearly 4000 pits on the roof of my car and I needed a new hood! Rodney even caught the fact that my rear hatch taillight needed replacing and we had no idea it was even cracked. His attention to detail is amazing! The damage was far worse than the initial estimate could've even projected. He worked really closely with my adjuster to get the additional supplements needed as the damage kept being uncovered. Kept the process very simple for me and despite all the damage, the fact i needed paint work and a panel of glass replaced and a pit on my windshield fixed, it did not take 45 days. I picked up my car just 4 days after I dropped it off. When I picked up my car it smelled great because it had just been detailed clean by Rodney's grandson and looked wonderful. This is a family affair, folks and they take pride in their shop. You will not be sorry if you go with these guys. They know what it means to do the right thing and treat customers right. These guys are fantastic! I've taken my car there a number of times, and half the time they've been able to remedy the issue fairly quickly. When this has happened, not only did they not charge me, but they refused to let me pay them! I am a woman and, unfortunately, I fit the stereotype of not knowing much about cars. They have never tried to take advantage of my ignorance. For example, about 6 months ago I had them replace the engine shield on my Toyota. I paid them for parts and labor, and all was well. Then, just last week, I accidentally drove over a huge boulder that was hidden in some tall grass. Well, the engine shield was mangled. I didn't know whether I should try to cut off the part that came detached, or whether it could be reattached. I called and they said I could bring it by. Now, by any measure, the damage done was not covered by any warranty (being caused, admittedly, by me). Nonetheless, they got my car into the garage, hoisted it up, removed the damaged engine shield, then called me back to the garage to show me where the rock had dented my air conditioning system. Although my ignorance was obvious, they didn't pressure me to replace the engine shield and they were honest about the fact that the AC system did not need immediate attention. To top it off, they didn't charge me, and when I tried to give them cash, they wouldn't accept it. Rodney and his team are a great group of guys. You don't find people like this every day! read more
