3.5 stars. Well, it's no Halal Guys, but a good enough alternative for sure. Ordered via UberEATS and it was super cheap / delivery was very prompt. I tried the gyro platter, which included gyro with some white sesame sauce and tomatoes / lettuce / cucumbers on the side all on top of rice. I really appreciated that the whole thing wasn't lathered with sauce and that you could ask for the spicy red sauce on the side. The portion is also sizable but not enormous enough to the point where you enter food coma stage afterwards. It's a good semi-healthy dinner or I'm sure delicious during later hours of the night...:) P.S. - The fries are drenched in ketchup and white sauce, which I really didn't like. This was a totally pleasant surprise on a rainy day that I didn't want to leave the office. I searched what I could have delivered and this popped up. I had the gyro and it was PACKED, so delicious. The red sauce will getcha, so if you don't like spice, ask them to hold that, there was just enough for me . . . Really delicious. My friend had the chicken wrap and said that it too, was great. I wasn't in love with the hummus, it was middle of the road - I like my hummus a little garlicky OR with some nice lemon zing, but this was more bland than that. The Gyros and Chicken wrap are simply delicious. The Gyros meat is unfortunately only the typical processed meat, not the natural lamb meat (-1 star* see update at bottom ). After carving the meat off the vertical grill, these guys grill it in addition. It really enhances the flavor. Flavors are amazing. The white yoghurt sauce and red pepper sauce put it over the top. The wraps are $7.00. Plates ($9.00) are available too but the wrap is delicious. See the pics for complete menu, great options. Ate here 5 times ( always a wrap) and it is consistently good. ...I have eaten here now a dozen times plus with and without girlfriend, and we are deliciously addicted to this place. Before or after 6th street this is a welcome treat for a rightsized meal before or after an evening of craziness and drinks or just for lunch when in the area. It has been super consistent good. Ask for a punch card if you come often enough (i received a handwritten biz card and endorsed it already, they have printed ones now ... Buy 10, get one free. Awesome for regulars! I don't know if it is feasible for the owners to use real unprocessed gyros spiced lamb meat, but that would the only way to improve in my opinion. Parking can be an issue. Park by the Starbucks and walk to them on 5th Street. Then buy a coffee ;)... * I have eaten here many times now and it is always superb. Therefore I changed it to five stars and would take half star off because it is not pure lamb meat. But for the consistent excellent wraps they produce I round up to five stars. The Good: this place definitely lived up to the Arabic food deliciousness taste. I ordered the chicken plate, good portion for the $9 price. Service was great and fast. The bad: being that it's located pretty much with in a bar I found that it was a little loud for a afternoon lunch. Horrible customer service. Had a large online order for an office nearby. Was ignored for several minutes at the window before I was able to let them know that I was picking up an online group order. I was handed 12 individual soft plastic bags. They offered to give me slightly larger bags that I would have to bag myself, so I declined. I got the meals back to the office to discover that everyone's meals had been jumbled up. We used ordering app group order and requested that names be put on the items, but the restaurant did not put names on the orders. The food, was also a mixed bag. Some people were fine with their orders, despite the fact that requests for sauce on the side or the exclusion of certain ingredients were totally ignored. Others told me that their food was inedible, and some of the salads had pieces of paper throughout. Until the quality of service is addressed I don't see myself going back to Austin's Habibi anytime soon. read more

Ordered falafel plate for lunch by Grubhub, and what you get is burnt black falafel over uncooked rice grains that are almost dried out. So far the worst falafel I ever had. Quality of the food is not at all worth the price. Never going back again. read more

I bought a falafel wrap at this truck last night for around $8.50 while I was at Tiniest Bar. It was by far the worst falafel wrap I've ever had, and probably the most expensive. Imagine: half a head of iceberg lettuce exploding out of a too-small round of pita, topped with giant, acrid chunks of red onion and unpeeled cucumber. Some bland tomatoes and too much goopy, flavorless sauce are the finishing touches. Now, if only there was some falafel in it it would be perfect! Seriously, after 10 unsatisfying bites, I literally disassembled it over a trash can to try and find any falafel in it. There were 2 small patties of the driest, coarsest falafel I have ever tasted. I rarely waste food but this was close to inedible, so I pitched it in the bin. Save yourself the trouble and just to the nearby taco truck instead. read more

This is a food truck with absolutely great quality authentic Mediterranean food. My guest got the chicken, rice, and salad combo. I got the gyros plate. Both entrees came out fresh, hot, and really seasoned to perfection. Some may find the red sauce a bit too spicy. If you like a less spicy plate, consider ordering the food without the red sauce. The salad was totally fresh and covered with feta and yogurt dressing. The long grain Mediterranean fried rice was fresh, hot, and spiced just right. We also ordered the hummus. It was creamy, and flavorful. It's served with olive oil, mild pimento flakes on top, and four whole chick peas in the center making the plate look like there was a flower in the center. The Habibi food truck, located kitty corner to the flagship Whole Foods Market is in a common eating and drinking area where mixed drinks and beer can be bought at a bar and consumed at the tables with your food. The service was friendly and prompt despite the truck being quite busy. The food was ready within a few minutes and the portion size was large. Highly recommend avoiding this establishment. I had not eaten breakfast and I picked up a Gyro wrap on Friday (10/16/20) afternoon for lunch with a side of fries. I did not eat dinner on Friday night because my stomach was so upset. By Saturday morning, I had all the symptoms of food poisoning - body aches, sweats, cold spells, diarrhea, etc. Some symptoms stayed with me until Tuesday, 10/20/20. The symptoms were staying with me long enough that I went to get a COVID test (negative results) to make sure it was not some thing else. I have a strong stomach, so it is not the cuisine. I went back and forth on 3-4 stars on this one, but ultimately came to the conclusion that there are more pros than cons, and good mediterranean/halal style food is hard to come by in these parts. Plus they're a part of Uber Eats and open late, so it's super convenient to satisfy the late night snack urges that pop up, in my case late night traveler. The gyro plate is spot on for what you'd want. Generous amounts of meat, fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes, and a good amount of rice to help bring the meal together. My main complaint here is more white sauce! It would have helped with the slight dryness I felt that rice had, that was compounded by the meat...but that's a knit pick for sure, espeically since if I were there I could probably ask for more. The falafel was a little dry for my liking as well, but was still tasty. Not sure that'd I'd get it again as a stand alone snack, but I could see how it would be good with the right amount of other complimenting pieces (i.e. veggies, rice, sauce). This was the first time I ordered and I was very surprised. It was recommended by a co-worker. I ordered for delivery and it was quick and I was surprised that the driver did not get lost. The combo plate was plenty of food for two people. The chicken and lamb was cook perfectly and the I was happy to see the rice at the bottom for the plate. The salad made the meal complete and it was the last thing to get eaten. This was the first time but it will not be the lat time I order. The price was reasonable and the amount of food was large. Great falafel, crispy on the outside and soft, fluffy and flavorful inside. So many falafels are tough, but these are not. Very tasty. The hummous is rich and flavorful. I ordered the Falafel snack for $6, which was plenty of food for me (light eater). Man this is some tasty middle eastern food. The menu definitely has an authentic Arabic feel, too, unlike some others which have a more Americanized style to them (which is great too, but sometimes you want the original). We got a gyro sandwich, which was delicious, and the thing I really liked was that the meat was very juicy and moist, so even if you got only gyro meat and pita it would not be dry. The sauce was great too, and it had fresh cucumber. We also tried the saucy rice dish whose name I don't recall, and that one was pretty legit too, with basmati rice rice cooked to perfection. It's always nice to see more places to eat around my work, so I thought I would give this place a try (always a sucker for falafels). I had a falafel wrap. The falafel patty was spot on, and the flavor of the entire wrap was wonderful. The fries were not as exciting, just standard run of the mill fries that had "red sauce and white sauce" on it, while that was true it seemed to just be spicy ketchup and mayo. Just scarfed down a chicken and lamb combo plate. The serving size was generous and the pleasantly flavored meats were accompanied by Mediterranean fried rice (which had some yummy crunchy bits mixed in), fresh salad greens with cherry tomatoes, and topped with a creamy white sauce & a slightly spicy red sauce. There was no wait time to speak of and the trailer crew were friendly and all smiles. I would have liked to purchase a beverage of some sort to accompany my meal, but maybe there's an agreement between the trailer and the Tiniest Bar in Texas? I came here with a Groupon, so the deal was great. However, the food wasn't anything special. I got a gyro salad with a side of falafels. I found the meat to be too salty and the falafel was dry. The salad did not have a variety of vegetables and was mostly lettuce. I was very hungry and I generally love Mediterranean food, but this was unfortunately bellow average even for the price. YUM! Stopped to grab dinner with a colleague at this food truck. My gyro wrap was really tasty. The meat is sort of ground rather than sliced and the woman at the counter pronounced it "JY-ROW" so I'm not sure how authentic this place is, but it was pretty delicious so no complaints. It is delicious. And affordable. And the portions are insane. I've ordered three different items from here: - Gyro: like, woah. So amazing and HUGE, plenty of meat (is there such thing as TOO much meat?) the naan was warm, soft and tasty. The sauces and veggies compliment it nicely and they do not take away from the flavor of the actual gyro. - Habibi fries: i love, but the only rec is that they cook them a little longer; both times that I've ordered them they are a little too soft and soggy. but the sauces on top are so amazing. - Chicken Salad: doesn't even feel like you're eating a salad, which I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. Only thing I would change for next time is to ask them to not add so much of the chili paste to the salad. I've ordered this for both pick up and delivery and I was happy both times.
