I came in here about 3 years ago and I have never met a group of racist ladies in my entire life. Michelle, Rachel, and Ashley are all very racist! Do not go here!! They constantly commented on my appearance in a negative way. I also noticed there is no diversity (which this should not matter its not a big deal to me) but since I have been hit with their racist comments it hurts. I usually go to iTan in SoCal. There is one in Morgan Hill as well and I have been going to that iTan simply because the customer service is way better. Super disappointed in my experiences here for the last couple of weeks. I am a very understanding customer as I've worked in the beauty industry and I understand customers can be crazy and irrational but I am far from that... Below is a list the issues I've experienced: 1. Reservations- I made a reservation Monday for today at 6:20pm. I came right on time today and right before I checked in, the girl at the front let a lady in my room that I had reserved. This customer seemed new because the girl in the front was talking to her about pricing. I get to the front to check in and the girl tells me that everything is behind and they can TRY to get me in. Mind you, I scheduled my after work evening around this reservation and I've been waiting 30 minutes in the parking lot. If they were running behind, simple phone call would've been nice. I walked out and I'm Contemplating cancelling my membership due to the poor customer service. Seriously what is the point of me even reserving a slot?? 2. One day I came by and had to tan in a level 1 or 2, which is fine. I get in and the machine shut off 4 minutes into the session. I didn't even bother asking for help... I had somewhere to be. 3. The next day I came back for my reservation and the girls tell me their power is out and they are closing. No call.... nothing. I came and waited for nothing. Completely inconsiderate of people's time. I'm pretty tired of this and I'll probably be taking my business elsewhere. Do better Australian Tan. read more

At one time this was a good business. I do not recommend EVER signing up for a membership unless you want to get stuck paying forever. They will tell you their cancellation policies are "clear" - don't listen. It is not. They will continue charging your account even after you cancel the membership and find creative ways to justify it. Shame on them! read more

I've been a member of AT for a long time now, I usually go to the Bernal Salon because it's close to to my work. Working from home I have started going to the Blossom Hill location which I have previously avoided because I didn't care for the service I received but I am impressed with the new level of service and staff at the Blossom Hill location and I will make this my normal salon. I am greeted and welcomed every time I visit and really appreciate how friendly the staff is. Allie has always greeted me with a warm welcome and is very knowledge about the products they have for sale, I have purchased 3 lotions over the past month and love the results I've seen from my tanning sessions!!! I appreciate her willingness to help and find solutions when I've had situations where I missed my appointment and still squeezed me in for a spray tan on short notice. Skills like this show great care for their customers and I think management did a great job with putting her at this salon. It is one of the busier salons and I never feel like I pushed aside customer. The other team members are also great with product suggestions and I love the overall friendliness of the staff, I believe I've been helped by Julia and Haley, super sweet gals. I just had my very first spray tan and I just can't say how thankful I am for all the help the staff gave me. I mainly spoke and worked with Haley. Blossom Hill location is top notch. The salon and facilities are great, they have so many rooms compared to the other locations and they have two bathrooms! I use room 1, level 5 and it is so hot , I come out being noticeably darker in one session. Customer service is great, quick and the staff of knowledgeable. Australian tan is great-standard/low pricing and good beds. The girls are always nice. This location definitely stood out. The 2 tanning professionals Abby and Jordyn were so helpful. I can tell Abby loves what she does. She is the only person I've seen so far that asked me what I wanted to do with my tan, talked about different beds and bulbs, and mentioned a promotion. This review is regarding two things... 1. This is the DIRTIEST Australian tan I have ever been to. I witnessed Aly clean one of the beds and let me tell you I was disgusted by how terrible of a job she did. I felt extremely uncomfortable getting into that bed. She did not wipe it down to its entirety. 2. ALY.. quite possibly the RUDEST girl I have ever seen working a customer service job. It's not that hard. Be nice to people that is literally it. I witnessed her be so rude to some of the older customers, not making eye contact, giving one word answers... she was also completely rude to me with those same examples. She needs to be fired immediately. She should not be the face of this tanning salon. She looks miserable. She treats people miserably. Absolutely LOVE the management team at this location. Always so welcoming with a smile on their faces. They even have my bed ready before I walk in the door. I highly recommend for first time indoor tanners as they have walked me through every stepsons every different level. I also started using their "cocoon" which is they detox pod. "The customer is never right" is the motto of this company (corporate office included). The Blossom Hill location is very clean (which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) but the staff is not helpful and the corporate office is the same - if not worse. I had a couple of problems when I signed up and had to call the corporate office twice. The first time I called, I was basically told "too bad" and that was it. The second time I called, the girl was more cordial but they still wouldn't work with me much. I will not be tanning here again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. I usually go to Planet Beach, but, a friend of mine referred me to this place so I decided to check it out. I already have a natural tan, but, wanted to go a lil darker and even out more since I havent tanned in awhile. Tanning beds are my usual fix for this problem. But due to the short amount of time for an event I have to go to, I wanted try the spray tan instead. Heard it would have immediate results. Although I was hesitant that I might get an "orange tan" they reassured me it would NOT be "orange" at all. So I decided to try an airbrush tan done by Michelle. I did not make an appointment for the airbrush tan, luckily they had openings so they took me in right away. It turned out to be better than I expected. I was NOT orange at all. Since Michelle had to do the airbrush herself, I am so glad how professional and extremely comfortable she was to be around. The room where she airbrushed me was so clean. absolutely spotless, which was nice considering what you are there for. She explained everything well and my tan is so natural looking. FYI- I was expecting them to throw a sales pitch and pressure me into prepaying for more services. But, they didnt. Since it was my first time there I will only give it 4 stars. Simply the worst. If you want an honest opinion and the truth of this company, keep reading. I was told one thing and got another. If I could give this store a rating of zero or negative one I would. In my 6 month subscription I went to this location a total of 4 times. I thought it would be easy and painless to cancel in the store or over the phone, but no, you have to mail a letter (at your own expense) to their corporate office in order to cancel. All the while they are still charging you for your subscription. In other words, if you sign for a 6 month subscription to get a cheaper monthly payment, DO NOT expect that subscription to terminate at the 6 months because they WILL keep charging you every single month (reguardless of your attendace to the business) until you cancel it yourself. For instance, if you havent gone to this store in 4 months and youre 2 months over your subscription, why does this business consider it fair to continue charging? If theres any suggestion I, as a business man and salesman, can make, its to NEVER GO TO THIS SALON. Although their staff has superior customer service, the business itself is not profesional. They do not explain their terms and conditions reguarding cancelation, theres no legal documentation and theres no over the phone care through the store. If you tan very frequently, you might want to consider this beat down embarassment of a business. If you dont tan very often, your better off going to the beach instead dealing with a major headache getting yourself untangled from this company. Bottom line. This place, in my opinion, has given me one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a so called business. read more

Yelp offers a spray tan here for a great deal. I decided to purchase and came out looking fresh to death. My white went away for two weeks and my body simply looked 10 lbs slimmer just cause I spent two minutes in a machine spraying my natural white skin to tan. I have been a long time customer of Australian Tan and I can't complain about anything. All of the girls that have worked here over the years are very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. I mainly go to the Bernal or Blossom Hill salon but have also visited the Saratoga location and the one in Sunnyvale. I have never had a bad experience. Ocassionally the spray tan booth is out of tanning solution but it's an honest mistake. Other than that, their facility is super clean. I use the spray booth and get their airbrush tans. You will never look orange because the solution they use is very good quality. I always have a bronzy glow. I can't imagine canceling my membership. If you are wondering if you should try tanning, give this place a try. You will not be dissapointed. read more

Okay. This salon is impeccably run. I get a great tan from the equipment, feel very clean and taken care of and NEVER have to wait. They keep essentials in each room that are very helpful, and they have a good location. I WILL say, though, that the girls that help me are not always nice... but the majority of time they are very helpful and attentive. Funny you go to Australian Tans website and those very same specials are still running.
